Jackie Chan, Andy Lau Tak Wa, Bai Bing, Jason Wu Jing, Yu Shaoqun earlier continued to work on SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI). The team spent 10 million on a 1:1 scale "New Shaolin Temple", which was opened for a press visit for the first time. Jackie Chan praised the set for its realism; Wa Jai spent his free time on teaching little martial art monks to dance and instead they stole his thunder.

Wa Jai in order to play a monk character shaved his head. Jackie Chan also thought about shaving his head. He said, "In the end I was afraid that I would lose continuity in the other movie so I changed my mind." Big Brother immediately pulled up his hat and joked, "Actually I shaved halfway, but the team yelled at me to stop. Now my head is very yeah." Speaking of Nicholas Tse Ting Fung's risk taking, he said, "He gives his all in everything he does, I admire him alot. (Does he have shades of your past?) Whether his birth or his environment he has been much more comfortable than me. When he makes movies he has many people around him. In the past we counted to three and just started." In addition, about Tang Wei's ban lift Jackie Chan said, "I don't know, I didn't read it. At this age I don't think or see, I would only care about people and the Earth. (Would you like to work with her?) So far I haven't thought about it."

A group of little martial art monks danced on the set like Wa Jai and stole a lot of his thunder. Wa Jai said, "Earlier when they watched KUNG FU HUSTLE they learned to dance the 'Ax Gang' dance and got sick of it, so they asked me to teach them a new routine. They are very hard working. At home they would practice." Wa Jai had many action scenes and the back of his hand was injured. Wa Jai said, "It's minor, nothing special." In addition, lately a magazine claimed that Wa Jai's new film FUTURE X-COPS (MEI LOI GAING CHAT) due to its boss (Tsai Chung Lin)'s exit could not be finished. Also due to a lack of money its special effects were disappointing. Wa Jai said, "I didn't notice, but I asked Brother Jing why it doesn't have any release date. He said he wanted CG to be done better." The report claimed that CG results were poor, Wa Jai said, "I have seen the CG effects, I thought they pass."

In the film Bai Bing had relationships with Wu Jing and Yu Shaoqun. She said, "In the film I don't know kung fu, but I have to sing Henan opera. I studied it for a month before hand." With the airing of THE MYTH television series, Bai Bing has been called "counterfeit Kim Hee-Sun". She asked, "What do you think? I feel certain characters only have resemblance after make up. (Do you mind the comparison?) I don't mind." Wu Jing for the film went to Shaolin Temple and trained for seven days before hand. He said, "I was very happy about going for seven days. I felt very peaceful inside and my view on life changed." Wu Jing and Lau Tak Wa worked on a few scenes together and afterward praised how great he was. In terms of shape and strength Lau Tak Wa seemed to have had some previous kung fu experience.

Winning the 60th Annual Berlin Film Festival Generation kplus Best Picture Crystal Bear Prize, the Alex Law Kai Yui directed, Mabel Cheung Yuen Ting produced film ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW (SHUI YUET SUN TAU) two nights ago held its premiere. Actors Simon Yam Tat Wa, Sandra Ng Kwan Yu, Araif Lee Chi Ting, Evelyn Choi Wing Yan and child star Chung Siu To attended.

Ng Kwan Yu and Yam Tat Wa received Hong Kong Film Award nominations with ECHOES, were they confident? Kwan Yu expressed that she never thought about it. She hoped its box office would be good. The box office came first, award came second. Ultimately this film production did not have an easy start. Brother Wa left it up to Heaven. Kwan Yu said that he was one of this year's 50 professional reviewers for Hong Kong Film Award, thus she could not vote for herself. She hoped that everyone would vote for ECHOES and not split votes.

As for her husband Peter Chan Ho Sun's BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS (SUP YUET WAI SING) and its 18 nominations, was she competing with Chan Ho Sun? Kwan Yu said, "We don't need to compete, his movie has no female lead. In its 18 nominations it doesn't have Best Actress, so our relationship wouldn't be hurt." Kwan Yu expressed that she has not watched her opponents so she would not at liberty to discuss other actresses. Was she afraid that ECHOES would become an imaginary enemy? Kwan Yu expressed that she did not mind. She was very happy about the Berlin Film Festival prize but still did not have time to celebrate with the director. Perhaps they would wait after the film release. Yam Tat Wa's brother, Deputy Police Commissioner Yam Tat Wing, recently announced his official retirement. Has Yam Tat Wa thought about retirement? He said, "I haven't, I really like acting." Ng Kwan Yu said that his brother could act after retirement. After a lifetime as a cop he could try playing a crook while Yam Tat Wa played a cop.

Cheung Yuen Ting expressed that she was so dizzy a week after returning to Hong Kong. This time was a pleasant surprise and she felt flattered. Was she confident about the box office? She said, "I don't know, originally I was thinking about how to promote. I didn't expect the response in Hong Kong would be so overwhelming." Would good box office make up for the actor salary difference? She said, "I don't know yet, for now we haven't planned on a sequel either." She said that she hoped that the family of four in the film would be able to win at the Hong Kong Film Award together.

The Lunar New Year film 72 TENANTS OF PROSPERITY (72 GA JO HAT) performed well at the box office and became the Lunar New Year champion. Actors including Bosco Wong Chung Chak, Jeanette Leung Ching Kok, Samantha Ko Hoi Ning and Matthew Ko Kwan Yin yesterday visited several cinemas to thank the audience. Wong Chung Chak yesterday announced that director Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum) told him the film's box office has already exceeded 30 million.

Wong Chung Chak expressed that the initial box office was 20 million, he never expected that in less than a month in release it has already 30 million box office. However, after 30 million the box office started to have stress, but now everyday's average box office was 1 million. He hoped to have even better performance.

Leung Ching Kok and Ko Hoi Ning in the film had a scene in which their chests were blasted with water. Leung Ching Kok reportedly was upset at the scene and claimed to be like a "young model" afterward. Later she reportedly was upset that while working on Wong Jing's BEAUTY ON DUTY (MEI LAI MUK LING) she had to squeeze Charlene Choi Chuek Yin's head with her chest. She expressed that she did not degrade "young models" and everything were magazine speculations. She stressed that she did not blame Wong Jing and was afraid that Brother Jing would mistake her for being arrogant. She called Brother Jing to explain. Luckily Brother Jing understood and told her not to be silly because he could not believe the reports.

Nicholas Tse Ting Fung two days ago attended an eyewear event in Shanghai. Ting Fung revealed that he is busy with his new film SHAOLIN (SUN SIU LUM JI), in which he would have many fight scenes with Andy Lau Tak Wa. Ting Fung was nominated for Best Supporting Actor with BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS (SUP YUET WAI SING). He said, "I really don't want to think too much because I am not making movies to win awards." He felt that he still had room for improvement in acting, while he had no plan for music. "I can only say I seem to be unsuitable for this music scene." Ting Fung said that after ten years without being able to spend the Lunar New Year at home, this year he finally was able to with his family.

Donnie Yen Chi Tan and Lynn Xiong (Hung Doi Lam) yesterday attended the film IP MAN 2's film and theme song press conference. The film's director Wilson Yip Wai Shun, producer Raymond Wong Pak Ming, screen writer Wong Chi Wun also attended. The film will open on April 29 in Hong Kong. At the press conference, Cheng Ka Sing performed the theme song while Chiang Doi Yin who plays the "young Bruce Lee" in the film performed kung fu. Chi Tan pointed out that Hung Doi Lam did not win an award with IP MAN last time was regrettable. He even took a stab at the Hong Kong Film Award as he said, "I have always said that Hong Kong Film Awards has no foresight!"

Yen Chi Tan said that his performance of Ip Man this time was somewhat selfish because he gave his all. He said, "I hope after retirement, viewers still remember that I played Ip Man." As for being the best fighter in the galaxy, he joked that he has already left the galaxy a long time and returned to Earth. He said, "I have made movies for over 20 years, my entire body already has too much strain early on. However I have to grind my teeth and persist." Did he brood over not winning an award with IP MAN last year? Chi Tan said, "I said what I said not because I didn't win, I was only upset that Hung Doi Lam didn't win a New Performer award. I with IP MAN won three Mainland Best Actor awards so I am already very satisfied, but I wouldn't mind winning another one for show. The box office is the most important, I am joking of course." Was Chi Tan confident that this film will net his another Best Actor award? He expressed that if it could then he would, but it could not he still has already done his best. Wong Pak Ming said that Ip Man respected his wife, Chi Tan joked that he too was very afraid of the old lady thus he would get rich. Chi Tan's wife Cecilia Wang heard and laughed.

Hung Doi Lam just returned to Nanjing for the Lunar New Year. Did her family and friend urge her to bring her boyfriend home? He said, "No, Mama didn't urge marriage either." Did her family and friends know that her boyfriend was Aaron Kwok Fu Sing? Lynn said, "It's not like that, maybe someone has asked Mommy, but she would deflect the question for me." Lynn said that she did not want to marry early as she was worried that she could not handle both family and career. Did she feel she would only match Sing Sing as a Best Actress? She said, "I don't have such an ambition, I just want to be an actor with acting abilities." Later Lynn changed the subject and said that this year she received many laisee. Did she have hot pot casserole with Sing Sing? She said, "I went back to Nanjing for that." Has she seen Sing Sing this year? She covered her face and said, "Let me go back and think about that."

After the banquet the tenth anniversary concert took place, this year the reunited Twins performed the finale. Emperor boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing yesterday led his singers and artists in attendance.

Gillian Chung Yun Tung recently has been linked to William Chan Wai Ting in gossip. Would she dance with Chan Wai Ting? She immediately said, "He is like my younger brother." As for her rumor with Jacky Heung Jor, Ah Gil did not comment. She expressed that she experienced a lot in recent years, now she just wanted to focus on work. Did she often chat with Heung Jor on the set? She pointed out that they had to communicate, the director also asked them to. However it was for work only. Did she not want to date now? She pointed out that work was very important. Earlier when she was not working she really want to.

As for claims that she was a Maoshan master's goddaughter, Ah Gil expressed that she has already responded to that before and did not want to answer any further. Her film FANTASTIC WATER BABES (CHOOK SHUI FU YUNG) will finally be released in the Mainland. She honestly said that she was both happy and nervous and she would do her best. Was she confident that the audience would accept her again? She hoped to improve herself and wait for the audience to accept her again.

She also performed in two other films. Later she will promote four movies at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. eSun holdings two nights ago held its spring banquet. Artists of its companies including Media Asia, East Asia Record, A Music and CMD all attended. This year boss Peter Lam Kin Gok provided 300,000 for cash prize drawings, but A Music "boss" Leon Lai Ming and the international kung fu superstar Donnie Yen Chi Tan two nights ago went on the stage half drunk. Lai Ming even joked that he was cheap as they each only donated 1,000 for the drawing. Host Michelle Ye (Yip Shuen) ridiculed them.

Attending artists were numerous, they included Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Lai Ming, Janice Vidal (Wai Lan), Shu Qi, Janice Man Wing Shan, Denise Ho Wan Si, Big 4, Yen Chi Tan and his wife, Fama and others. Yet Andy Lau Tak Wa and Sammi Cheng Sau Man did not attend. The event had two host tables, as Lai Ming and Johnnie To Kei Fung sat next to boss Lam Kin Ngok. During the toast, past rumored couple Shu Qi and Lai Ming coincidentally stood together. They appeared to be somewhat unnatural but still toasted each other. After the ceremony, Shu Qi immediately went to the edge of the stage to toast other artists.

Each artist took turn to draw for prizes. Two nights ago happened to be Chin Wa's Lunar New Year birthday, she managed to draw herself and won 3,000. However Yip Shuen was very impolite and opened the envelope to take the money out before asking Chin Wa. Chin Wa immediately said, "Money can't be seen, you could've just given razor coupon!" Finally Chin Wa took 500 for good luck and donated the remaining 2,500 for the lucky drawing. Director Dante Lam Chiu Yi also drew a Cartier watch. When Yen Chi Tan drew his wife Cecilia Wang, Chi Tan joked, "If now isn't the time for 'the fix' when would be the time?"

During the cash prize drawing, Lai Ming was responsible. His red was red as he looked half drunk. As soon as he got on stage he said, "Our friend Mr. Lam is so cheap, he only donated 5,000. The longer the drawing goes the smaller it gets!" Yip Shuen instead asked Lai Ming to make donations and he immediately changed the subject. "Me? Hey!" Then he dragged in Chi Tan and joked, "We will be the cheap ones, each of us put up 1,000 for 20 100 buck prizes." Yip Shuen said, "Wow, we don't need 100 bucks! Why don't you toss out 2,000 bucks and see who gets it." Lai Ming said, "If you get 100 bucks and you are satisfied, then you are a good person." Lai Ming and Yip Shuen went back and forth on stage about how to draw HK$2,000 for a long time. Lai Ming suddenly said, "We can fold the 2,000 into a plane and throw it, whoever it hits on the head gets it."

Lam Kin Ngok finally threw into another 50,000 for 5 10,000 cash prizes. When Lai Ming saw the boss increase the stakes he immediately said, "Then the 1,000 bucks are so little, we are taking them back!" Maybe because they were embarrassed, finally they split the 2,000 with the two hosts Yip Shuen and Charles Ying Cheung Yau. After the drawing, Yip Shuen again asked the boss to add more. She said, "Chi Tan and Lai Ming can 'fight one on one' on stage, their salaries are in tens of millions, a Wing Tsun performance would be good! Then the boss can add 50,000, we have a performance to watch as well as prizes to draw." Chi Tan immediately said, "Are we worth so little?" Although in the end they did not "fight", Mr. Lam added another 50,000. Along with the earlier 200,000 he donated 300,000 to the lucky drawing.

Lam Kin Ngok also spoke with reporters. As for early reports that he was interested in signing Zhou Xun and Huang Xiaoming, he expressed that as long as any artist with potential is willing to sign, he wanted to negotiate. However so far he still has not spoken with either artist. He expressed that he admired each artist as long as they have potential and energy. He claimed that both Zhou Xun and Huang Xiaoming did, otherwise they would not be so successful. Did he want to land all top artists? Lam Kin Ngok pointed out that Media Asia is growing larger and larger, more productions require even more actors. This year Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Feng Xiaogang and several Mainland directors will start productions, with more than a dozen films. Some have already wrapped like FIRE OF CONSCIENCE (FOR LUNG) and LOVE IN A PUFF (CHI MING YU CHUN GIU). This year will be quite a harvest year.

Did Edison Chen Koon Hei have any performance project? Lam Kin Ngok expressed that would depend on his own decision. During the Lunar New Year Chen Koon Hei called him to wish him a Happy New Year. Will he make a movie for Chen Koon Hei? Mr. Lam pointed out that Chen Koon Hei actually has been waiting for Hong Kong reporters to forgive him. The reporters expressed that they have already forgiven him. Mr. Lam said, "Then I will tell him."

Yeung Chin Wa talked about sitting at the host table. Chin Wa honestly said that lately she has been very sensitive to the term because she and her husband are studying the guest list. Originally they planned to have two day banquet but they wanted to complete it in one day. They still have not picked a date and the hotel has been urged them to decide. She expressed that she still has not selected a wedding gown. With her May film production she left a lot for her husband to deal with. She also pointed out that originally her husband wanted to shoot wedding photos at several places, but due to her film production she would not have time. However, the wedding will take place after her year end concert. Was she extra careful with her birth control now? She said, "Before the concert I would be, otherwise would I have to carry the belly on stage?" As for switching to East Asia record, Chin Wa pointed out that later an announcement would be made since the negotiation was ongoing. She expressed that actually working with Lai Ming has been great as she had a chance to work together in a different way. She would like the best for peace to breed wealth.

In addition, "Counterfeit Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi" Gong Mi two nights ago attended with her manager Chu Wing Lung and announced their addition to A Music. They even posed for photos with boss Lai Ming and big boss Lam Kin Ngok. A Music executive director Wong Hoi Man expressed that the company will mainly release her record and arrange for her movies. Will Gong Mi release a Cantonese record? She expressed that she was already working hard on her Cantonese lessons, but her Cantonese remained not so fluent.

As for fighting for the top sot in the company, Gong Mi said that there was nothing to fight over. They were colleagues and they would work hard. She felt that both Wai Lan and Janice Man were very pretty. As for Jill Vidal (Wai Si), she knew of her but not much after that. Chu Wing Lung will work with A Music to develop Gong Mi.

Shu Qi got drunk at last year's Spring Banquet and was ridiculed. She said that this year she decided against drinking. Since Lai Ming and Gaile Lok were married, did Shu Qi ask Lai Ming for laisee? She awkwardly said that she did not. Earlier Shu Qi was caught playing badminton with three men. She expressed that all her friends were male but none of them were dating. They were just good friends. As for reports that she and a male companion went to a hot spring spa, Shu Qi pointed out that she did not go with anyone and she had no suitor.

Ho Wan Si revealed that lately she has become a television fan, as every night she would watch her show OL SUPREME (NUI WONG BAN GUNG SUT). Although she still has not appeared yet, she was very happy to learn that the rating was decent. She said that everyone have not had the chance to see Liza Wang Ming Chuen as a prank victim, but this time in series she kept playing pranks on Ah Jeh. She was also mischievous like a female version Law Kar Ying. When asked whether she would celebrate with a bikini appearance if the rating improved, Ah Si joked, "I am afraid that the rating will immediately take a dive. I might as well wear more clothes when the rating improves, no one wants to see me in a bikini."

Yen Chi Tan will work on Alan Mak Siu Fai's GUAN YUNCHANG. As for four different projects on the same subject, Chi Tan said, "That's been talked about, but I don't know whether the others will start." His film 14 BLADES had an average Hong Kong box office. Chi tan honestly said that he was somewhat disappointed. He said, "Earlier I 'covered it' and said it would lose. Luckily the entire world's box office has been good. In the Mainland it even made 130 million, three times better than (Raymond) Wong Pak Ming's." Actually he felt very happy that Chinese films were all successful. Since he started in Hong Kong film, he would like the industry to do well.

Reportedly Isabella Leong Lok Si was three months pregnant. Anthony Wong Chau Sun expressed that he met with his god daughter during the Lunar New Year. "She is pretty good, not bad." Did he give laisee to the baby? He said, "She has more than one." When asked if Leong Lok Si was pregnant again as reported? Chau Sun said, "I found out from the magazines. The magazines are very credible, even more so than the Bible. It must be true."

[2010.02.27] WONG JING CLARIFIES ABOUT FUTURE X-COPS FUTURE

courtesy of takungpao.com

The Andy Lau Tak Wa and Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) starred new film FUTURE X-COPS (MEI LOI GAING CHAT) has not yet been released. Lately a magazine claimed that the film was unfinished due to an investor backing out. Wong Jing yesterday attended a press conference with two representatives from the special effect company. Wong Jing said that the report was only 10 to 20% fact, 90% fiction. As for the investor "on the lam", Wong Jing pointed out that Mr. Tsai was one of the investors. He is currently in Beijing and is not "on the lam". Earlier he contacted him.

Wong Jing pointed out that FUTURE X-COPS only had eight investors, the biggest was Mega Vision with 30%. Mr. Tsai was responsible for special effect post production. He admitted that earlier his cash was delayed a little but was very quickly taken care of. Wong Jing said, "We are a public company, so we have no chance to left it unfinished." However, he admitted that the investor indeed had financial dispute. The film that he funded individually has halted production but FUTURE X-COPS remained unaffected.

The film has already been confirmed for a March 30 nation wide release. The report claimed that the film was filling up the schedule, which Wong Jing denied. He pointed out that the Mainland had few holidays, even Ching Ming Festival's one day holiday is cherished. Other releases of the same period included FIRE OF CONSCIENCE (FOR LUNG), CROSSING HENNESSY (YUET MOON HIN NEI SI) and ALICE IN WONDERLAND, everyone have been fighting for the schedule. He pointed out that this report affected his films and company so he would reserve the right to take legal action.

[2010.02.27] KARENA LAM IS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT HONG KONG FILM

courtesy of singtao.com

courtesy of takungpao.com

Karena Lam Ka Yung just returned from Canada. Yesterday she attended a Fair Trade event as its ambassador. Her Lunar New Year film HOT SUMMER DAYS (CHUEN SING YIT LUEN YIT LAT LAT) had ideal box office. She said, "Although Hong Kong Lunar New Year films had many opponents, but from a positive point of view, having the impulse to go to a Hong Kong film is good. Once a French film critic told me that Hong Kong film has begun to fall, I told him actually it was OK. Of course sometimes I would be disappointed, but I would tell myself that I would have even more good movies for people to appreciate." She continued that the Ivy Ho (Ong Sai) directed CROSSING HENNESSY (YUET MOON HIN NEI SI) gave her the impulse to go to the movies. She said that she has not had that feeling for a long time, as she deeply believed that the Hong Kong film market has again begun to rise.

[2010.02.27] WANG QUAN'AN RETURNS HOME TO BE URGED TO WED?

courtesy of takungpao.com

Having just won the Silver Bear prize at the 60th Berlin Film Festival, famous director Wang Quan'an on the 26th said in Xian that since returning from Berlin his family has been urged him to get married and he could not be more bothered.

Wang Quan'an this time returned home to Shaanxi and dressed casually for the appearance. He said that this time he returned he has been urged to get married, he could not be more bothered. Yet his parents lately seemed to have come to their senses and told him not to be too rushed.

Speaking of APART TOGETHER's Silver Bear prize, Wang Quan'an felt that in the past Chinese film triggered the West's thinking of China, but APART TOGETHER made them thinking about themselves. This was the biggest gain from the seven screenings of APART TOGETHER and as the Berlin Film Festival opening film. Whether APART TOGETHER was suitable to be the opening film of the Berlin Film Festival, Wang Quan'an has suspected that before. Opening films on average were more cheerful and star studded. Yet the chair explained APART TOGETHER itself is a good movie. Its background is about the split of a nation, few nations would experience that like Berlin. Thus APART TOGETHER became the opening film.

As for APART TOGETHER's several leads, he said that Teacher Lu Yin's professionalism was very high and had quite a master style. He once worried about her health condition and memory for the dialogue, but Teacher Lu Yin not only was able to recite the lines but also gave a very outstanding performance.

Wang Quan'an said about his next step, Chinese film format has experienced the commercial stage. Film should have many different types together. He hoped that he would be able to make movies with more cultural quality and value. He did not feel that his value had to be displayed at the box office. He would not make commercial films and did not have the talent to. Perhaps later he would attempt a movie like THE LAST EMPEROR.

[2010.02.26] SIMON YAM FEELS STRESS FROM WORKING WITH AN EXPERT

courtesy of singtao.com

The film ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW (SHUI YUET SUN TAU) won the Berlin Film Festival's Crystal Bear prize, the leads Simon Yam Tat Wa and Sandra Ng Kwan Yu who heroically accepted "family rate" truly deserve some credit. In the film Brother Wa plays a shoemaker, Kwan Yu plays his wife and good mother. Brother Wa says that because Kwan Yu is fast, sometimes he is caught offguard. Thus working with Kwan Yu is somewhat stressful. However he feels that the most regrettable is too few scenes with Kwan Yu. Kwan Yu jokes, "Is it because you see how 'hot' my housewife is and you want make out scenes?"

Brother Wa praises ECHOES is a rare film and sighs that now many believe in financial products and no longer have the sense of value of the 60s. He urges everyone not to believe in financial products, believing in the most practical is the best. Is he sighing from losing a lot during the financial tsunami? He says, "I am a luckier one, because I am a traditional person I would rather put my money in the bank instead of investing it. Because of my 60s value my finances have not dipped at all and rose instead. My biggest investment is buying leather shoes, the most expense custom made pair I spent 18,000. Now I already have 300 pairs of shoes, so I have to buy an over 5000 feet storage space to put them."

Kwan Yu expresses that she is afraid of stuff taking up space, so she throws away useless items more viciously than men would. She feels that buying storage space is even less economical. Now she has over 200 pairs of jeans, some she is reluctant to throw away so she would rather giving them away. Is she afraid of regret? She says, "No! I have always been vicious and never look back, I never regret anything." Is she confident about this character winning an award? She says, "I haven't thought about it, let's see if I am nominated for a Golden Horse Award!  I want the cash prize more." Brother Wa expresses that if Kwan Yu is nominated, he would personally make a pair of shoes for Kwan Yu to attend the award show in.

"Film Fan Princess" Connie Chan Bo Chu two nights ago was working on the opening night of her Hong Kong Coliseum Cantonese Opera performance when her 98 year old adopted mother Kung Fun Hung passed away before the show. Yesterday Sister Bo Chu in the company of her son and her sister held a press conference at the Coliseum. She expressed that although her mother passed very suddenly, because she went comfortably and peacefully she was at peace. She would temporarily set aside her personal matter and focus on the remaining three shows because her mother once taught her to play her part and be responsible. She hoped that the media would leave her be so she could peacefully complete the future shows. As for her mother's funeral the information will be revealed through public channels.

Around 3PM, 30 or so fans were already waiting outside the Hong Kong Coliseum for their idol. Sister Bo Chu and her son Yeung Tin King as well as her sister Chan Bo Yi arrived around 3:45PM. Upon arrival Sister Bo Chu waved to her fans and the media, then hurried backstage to prepare for the press conference. Around 4:05PM, Sister Bo Chu, Tin King, and Bo Yi stepped into the Coliseum rehearsal room to meet the press. Sister Bo Chu was teary eyed and looked as if she just cried before. First to speak was Tin King, he seriously greeted everyone with red eyes then said, "Last night a tragedy took place, my grandmother, Mommy's mother Yiu Si Kwun, Ms. Kung Fun Hung passed away. Momy has something that she wants to say to everyone."

Sister Bo Chu followed, but after "Thank you very much" she choked up and could not speak. Bo Yi lightly patted her on the shoulder, then she expressed thanks to her friends, fans and viewers for their support and love. Tin King lightly patted her on her shoulder, after that Tin King and Bo Yi often gave her pats on her shoulder as a show of consolation and support. Sister Bo Chu said, "Last year the event happened very suddenly, but I know that Mama went very comfortably and peaceful. I am very much at peace inside. Mama since childhood has taught me to play my part and be responsible. Now I have work on hand, I would temporarily set aside personal matter and put my energy on work. I hope to be perfect in every aspect and answer to friends, viewers and fans who support me. After the shows, I definitely will through some channels respond about Mama's personal matter." She again thanked everyone for their care and love, as well as showed her appreciation to the media who were covering the event two nights ago.
