[2016.03.04] YUEN WOO PING RECEIVES ASIAN FILM LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Famous Hong Kong director and action director Yuen Woo Ping and Japanese national treasure director Kirin Kiki will receive the 10th Asian Film Award's Asian Film Lifetime Achievement Awards for their contribution to the Asian film profession. The organizers praised Yuen Woo Ping for continuously breaking through the existing structure of action film and successfully proving that martial art films belongs to Chinese artistic spirit.

  1. Outwardly, he looks like an ordinary old man, but who would have guessed that this old man is actually a rare martial arts talent, not in terms of fighting but choreographing. I first got to know your name after watching Jackie Chan's Snake In The Eagle's Shadow (1978) and for the next 38 years, you have kept me craving for your shows, bringing out the best in famous kungfu talents like Jet Li and Donnie Yen. I used to tell people that out of 10 good kungfu movies, at least 7 are choreographed by you!
