The film CHUEN SING YIT LUEN YIT LAT LAT (CITY WIDE ROMANCE HOT HOT HOT) yesterday held a simultaneous press conference in both Hong Kong and Beijing. Attending the Hong Kong press conference were director Wing Shya Wing Hong, actors Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Barbie Hsu (Tsui Hei Woon) and AngelaBaby. Attending the Beijing press conference were Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho), Vivian Hsu (Tsui Yeuk Suen) and Michelle Wai (Si Nga). The actors spoke via video conference, but due to communication issues not only were the screens unclear but even the conversation could not be heard clearly. No wonder Ting Fung joked, "I am better off calling Ng Yin Cho myself." Jacky Cheung Hok Yau was absent.
Ting Fung revealed that because the director asked for a summer feel in the film, everyday at work he had to grease up. He joked, "I was like a wax duck as I stood there while people applied grease on me. Although I was very frustrated and sticky all over, but the result was great." Currently Ting Fung is working on THE STOOL PIGEON (SIN YUN), later he will work on NEW SHAOLIN (Sun Siu Lum Ji) in the Mainland. He had very little time to be with his pregnant wife Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi. He pointed out that Pak Chi was fine and did not vomit too much. In a week or two they would know the sex of the child. Ting Fung said that Pak Chi was not depressed from the pregnancy because she had their son to keep her company. She asked him after NEW whether he would make more movies because she wanted him to remain in Hong Kong. Ting Fung explained that last time when they had Lucas he was working on an ad campaign in Hong Kong. When she was ready he immediately dropped everything to be with her. She would like him to stay in Hong Kong with her again. Was Lucas happy or jealous? Ting Fung said that he was only still little but Pak Chi would still carry him.
Big S is working on GIM YU GONG WU in Hengdian and two days ago took time off to attend this press conference then return to work. Big S recalled that daily oil application. Due to the heat all the clothes had to be rolled off during changing. She also wore a wig to shoot on location in Mongkok, even reporters could not recognize her. Although in GIM she had mostly dramatic scenes, for one swordplay scene she got hurt right away. Now both of her knees were bruised. She said, "For my first swordplay I would like the action to be prettier. Originally I asked the director to give me a sword to practice with, but I was worried that it won't pass Customs. So I only used newspaper or sticks to practice."
The trendy looking AngelaBaby in the film played a "factory girl". She expressed that while working in Beijing she seemed to be isolated from the world, her skin was very well nurtured. Yet due to her recent busy schedule her skin deteriorated again and she had to take Chinese herbal medicine. As for earlier accusation of her poor acting, she said, "When the film is released then you can review! I am still new, I should have room for improvement."
