The Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Nicholas Tse Ting Fung starred THE STOOL PIGEON (SIN YUN) was released nationwide on the 24th. Cheung Ka Fai on the night of the 23rd promoted the film in Xian and said that as early as 20 years ago he already wanted to be a plain clothes detective

Cheung Ka Fai at age 17 applied for the police academy to become an uniform cop. Two years later, at an old classmate's recommendation he joined Danny Lee Sau Yin's film company and worked behind the scenes. In 1989, Cheung Ka Fai performed in the Lee Sau Yin film THANK YOU SIR (CHONG JI HUNG SUM) and became his acting career. Last year Cheung Ka Fai with THE BEAST STALKER (JING YUN) won six Best Actor awards. In the film THE STOOL PIGEON, Cheung Ka Fai played a Criminal Intelligence Bureau inspector Lee Chong Tung who not only suffers the pain of losing his wife but also buries his conscience in order to solve cases.

Despite that he knew how hard it was to be a cop, Cheung Ka Fai still expressed that if he had the chance again he would still be willing to be a cop. However he did not want to be on the front line or be a high ranking officer. He definitely would not be a CIB inspector. Instead he hoped for planning work behind the scene like a Crime Unit chief. Cheung Ka Fai joked that he was already "sixty", but he still was not very old and still liked excitement.

Five years of police experience made Cheung Ka Fai while playing a cop very able to grasp the mentality. He also stated that in the past he felt he had to play a mental patient or some special character because that would challenge himself very much. Now he understood that a

character required many people's joint coordination to be able to be played well, because filmmaking was a group activity. Now he hoped even more to be able to work on an even more enjoyable movie with his co-stars. THE STOOL PIGEON has already applied for the Golden Horse Award. Cheung Ka Fai said that he hoped for the director to win the most.

Playing Cheung Ka Fai's wife in the film, Xian actress Miao Pu this time returned to her hometown and deliberately took Cheung Ka Fai and director Dante Lam Chiu Yin to Xian snacks. Cheung Ka Fai was learning the Xian dialect and praised "Lau Ka Leung!" (It meant delicious or great.) and made everyone laughed. At the urging of fans, Cheung Ka Fai danced with Miao Pu, as a fan sang the film's song MOON REPRESENTS MY HEART (YUET LEUNG DOI BIU NGOR DIK SUM). Lam Chiu Yin said that THE STOOL PIGEON was a movie with both love and honor, he hoped that everyone after seeing it would be able to properly cherish those around them.
