The Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF 25th anniversary concert took place two nights ago. Performers included Leon Lai Ming, Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Charlie Yeung Choi Nei, Huang Xiaoming and Fiona Sit Hoi Kei.
Yeung Choi Nei just returned from Shanghai and talked about the cause on stage. Once a singer, why did she not perform? She pointed out that her singer days were a long time ago, now she had no singing bug. She would only sing in the shower. Recently she worked with Aaron Kwok Fu Sing on a film and sang FOLK SONG OF PEOPLE ON WATER. She honestly said that earlier someone approached her about releasing a record, but she did not wanted to be too deliberate. Now singing the film theme song was also decent. Yeung Choi Nei recently was also busy writing a book about the soul. She hoped that everyone after reading this book would be happy. Yeung Choi Nei's buddy Gigi also appeared two nights ago. She expressed that recently she has been working with Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) on a movie, in which she had to play the violin. She found an instructor to take lessons with and thought the most important was the violin playing posture. She said, "After learning I really know for one minute on stage, ten years of work off stage. After four lessons I only learned posture." She bought a violin to practice at home.
Did she disturb her neighbors? She said that she would not. She was the happiest about the teacher's compliment that she had talent. Did she fall for violin playing? She honestly said that she did, but learning at 30 was somewhat late. She also said that she formed a company and recently was looking for people to write scripts. Because lately many unpleasant events took place, she would like to make a movie that could release positive energy.
