Jackie Chan spent over 40 million yuan to construct a personal film museum in Shanghai. After 5 years of planning it has been completed finally and will open at the end of the year. Jackie Chan yesterday posted many museum photos. Inside are many antique lanterns, a Battle of Harmony Jackie Chan sculpture. He even discussed the earlier "antique lantern" lighting ceremony and sculpture unveiling. "The antique lanterns were from a Shanghai French Concession mansion that I accidentally discovered while making RUSH HOUR 3 in 1997. I bought all 17 lanterns and placed them in my Hong Kong home. They have been there for 15 years." For the museum he moved them to Shanghai to be restored.

As for the Battle of Harmony sculpture, a pair of U.S. artists spent over 10 years to complete it. In the sculpture Jackie Chan was practicing drunken fists. Actually the entire work was completed with his various gestures like the five shaped fist, peace and love. The museum will display collections from Jackie Chan's years in film.
