The late Heavenly Queen Anita Mui Yim Fong's bronze statue "Daughter of Hong Kong Anita Mui" was erected on the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui. Yesterday an unveiling ceremony took place. The two meter two Mui Yim Fong bronze statue was the work of famous sculptor Professor Cao Chang'en. At the bottom of the statue was the calligraphy that said "Daughter of Hong Kong Mui Yim Fong" by Andy Lau Tak Wa. The ceremony attracted several hundred onlookers. Guests included Mother Mui, Peter Lam Kin Ngok, Remus Choy Yat Kit, Edmond So Chi Wai, Anthony Chan Yau, Lee Lik Chi and Chan Hoi Kei. The event arranged for Mui Yim Fong's official saxophone player Lai Hok Bun to play EMBRACE before the ceremony. Unfortunately as the event began, Mui Yim Fong's brother Mui Kai Ming who originally sat next to Mother Mui suddenly acted up. He claimed that the event did not invite him to the stage and disrespected him. Four workers had to subdue him to prevent Mui Kai Ming from storming the stage. His calls for help alerted the police.

Mother Mui said that the statue comforted her. Lately many friends called to say that Mui Yim Fong was not only her daughter but the daughter of Hong Kong. Mother Mui was touched. Currently 91, Mother Mui said that she was almost blind and deaf. Thus she wrote a speech and asked host Che Suk Mui to read. It said that although sh was 91, she still insisted on attending to thank friends who have helped Mui Yim Fong. She said that Mui's status being able to stand on the Avenue of Stars was a great honor. Mother Mui said, "I don't dare to imagine my daughter is next to me, does everyone think it resembles her?"

Choy Yat Kit said that the statue was extremely convincing. As for his friend Roy Cheung Yiu Yeung being held in the Mainland for drug use suspicion, Choy Yat Kit replied, "I have tried to contact him but I couldn't. As his friend I would worry. I believe his family is the most worried." Did he know about Cheung Yiu Yeung's girlfriend? Choy Yat Kit said, "I have always known that he has a girlfriend, I don't know why the media would be this way (claiming that they were gay). No matter what we remains friends, the media can continue to write what the media writes. However I don't want to make something out of nothing, I don't know if he has any bad habit either."
