Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Chang Chen, Shawn Yue Man Lok, Feng Wenjuan and Korean hunks Ji Jin-Hee and Choi Si-Won two nights ago attended the film HELIOS (CHET DOH)'s charity premiere at the Kowloon Bay International Trade and Exhibition Center to raise fund for the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. Other guests included Media Asia boss Peter Lam Kin Ngok and Elsie Leung Oi Sze. When the two Korean stars appeared, fans shrieked.
Constantly claimed to be "brothers of different parents", Hok Yau and Ka Fai spoke to the press together. Speaking of their "brotherly duel" this time, Hok Yau said, "I haven't seen it yet, there is a little. This time is my first official collaboration with Ka Fai." Dressed like The Hamburglar, Ka Fai fought fiercely in the film. He immediately said, "The directors put quite an effort into the film, they didn't want the audience to be able to guess the scenes so they put a twist into everything. This is also one of the reasons why I like working with the younger generation of directors. (Janice Man Wing Shan said that he did not treat her like a woman?) This is just the character, I respect women very much. (Did you have any bad take?) No. Before the shoot she trained for several weeks, I have been training for over 20 years."
Hok Yau in the film almost had no action film and was relatively more comfortable. He said, "This time was comfortable because fight scenes were done according to age. Mr. Wang (Wang Xueqi) didn't have to fight, then I too didn't have to fight, the next one fights a little, then Chang Chen, Yue Man Lok fight like crazy. The two directors have a plan, they aren't sloppy at all." Was this the first time that he played a villain? Hok Yau said, "No. (Will it have a sequel?) You will have to ask the boss and the audience response about this. (Have you made time for a sequel?) No, I have never thought about a second film."
As for working with Korean stars, did anything interesting happen? Hok Yau said, "Not interesting, the most memorable was when Ji Jin-Hee suddenly fainted during the shoot. He truly fainted."
At the time they worked at the Star Ferry pier early in the morning. Ka Fai recalled, "I don't know if Korean stars have to stay in shape, after working overnight he had a morning shoot the next day. When he delivered his lines he suddenly fainted in front of me, I of course was scared! Luckily he fell onto my shoes, if he hit the ground it would have been a big deal." Ka Fai guessed that Ji Jin-Hee had low blood sugar, because during the shoot he was rarely seen eating. Hok Yau felt fortunate that at the time Ka Fai was able to help him in time, otherwise if his head hit the ground he definitely would have been busted open. Later he very quickly woke up and was sent to the hospital for examination.
Ji Jin-Hee said that he learned a lot from working with the two Best Actors. He once worked with Hok Yau on the film PERHAPS LOVE (YU GOR OI), praised Hok Yau's singing and acting as very talented and very charming, Ka Fai's acting was great.
Speaking of his fainting during the shoot, he said, "yes, luckily Ka Fai lent me a hand so I wasn't injured. (was working on a Hong Kong film too much?) Actually because I have a lot of work in Korea, commuting back and forth was very tough. (Was the Hong Kong film production method tough?) No, Hong Kong is more relaxed. Korean series production is even worse." As for the ending leaving room for a sequel, will he take place? Ji Jin-Hee asked the reporter if he has seen the film already? He also said that he might appear in the sequel, pointed at the giant poster behind him and said, "This time I stood to the side on the poster, next time I hope to stand in the middle."
