The film IP MAN 3 two nights ago held its press conference in Shanghai, which brought together the boxing king of a generation Mike Tyson and the "Strongest in the Universe" Donnie Yen Chi Tan. They exchanged gifts and even admitted that they were each other's fans, as they unveiled their on screen due in a wave of harmony.
Attending the press conference were the film's producer Raymond Wong Pak Ming, director Wilson Yip Wai Shun, action director Yuen Woo Ping, screen writer Edmond Wong Chi Wun, actors Max Zhang Jin, Patrick Tam Yiu Man, Karena Ng Chin Yu. Everyone shared their production experience on the stage. Zhang Jin said that he had many action scenes in IP MAN 3. He said that Yuen Woo Ping's action designs were not only exciting but also very difficult. They were a lot of fun to perform. Ng Chin Yu said that earlier they shot a fight scene between Chi Tan, Louis Cheung Kai Chung and others and it truly was very exciting.
Chi Tan was a fan of Tyson. The chance was both exciting and rare for him to perform and have exchanges with him. Tyson said that before taking IP MAN 3, he has already seen the first two films in the U.S. and became a Yen Chi Tan fan. He also became very interested in Wing Chun. Chi Tan said that Tyson's boxing influenced him and inspired him to design some action scenes. In the end Tyson gave Chi Tan a pair of sparring gloves as an official challenge to him. Chi Tan gave Tyson the mini wooden man that was the most able to represent Ip Man Wing Chun. They also made a fighting pose, with Chi Tan welcome Tyson's boxing with his Wing Chun style to bring the press conference to its climax.
Chi Tan said that Tyson was one of big spotlight for IP MAN 3. He would like the most to be able to create the mightiest martial art fight scene in history with Tyson. He even believed that after this collaboration they would become good friends.
