The 11th Asian Film Award will take place on March 21st at the Hong Kong Cultural Center. The event yesterday announced that this year's Lifetime Achievement Award recipient will be famous Hong Kong director, producer, screen writer and actor Tsui Hark.
The 67 year old Tsui Hark is a respected director in the Chinese film industry and has won countless awards, including the Hong Kong Film Awards, the Golden Horse Awards and Venice Film Festival award. In his 40 years of film career, he has directed 38 and produced 16 films. Tsui Hark and Shi Nansun in 1984 founded the Film Workshop and served as producers, with classic films like ZU WARRIORS FROM THE MAGIC MOUNTAIN, A BETTER TOMORROW, the CHINESE GHOST STORY film series, THE KILLER, and ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA film series.
