Vincent Kok Tak Chiu's older sister, experienced film producer Linda Lam Kuk Mei Lai earlier passed away in her sleep at age 72. Two nights ago services began at the Hong Kong Funeral Parlor, and the coffin was transported yesterday morning to the St. Joseph's Church at Central for the funeral then to the Cape Collinson Crematorium. Lam Kuk Mei Lai's son Sai Hei carried his mother's photo as daughter Sai Wing tightly followed. Lam Kuk Mei Lai's husband, the Golden Resources Group chairman Laurent Lam Kwing Chee was saddened as he stared at his wife's coffin, shook hands with and embraced friends and family as they consoled each other.

Kok Tak Chiu's girlfriend Kiki Lam Tsz Huen, niece Jo Koo (Kuk Cho Lam) and her daughter were solemn and declined an interview. Kok Tak Chiu thanked the media for their thoughts. Kuk Cho Lam also said, "Thank you everyone." Cherie Chung Chor Hung, Claudie Chung Chun, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Fruit Chan Gor, Lok Pooi, Yee Chung Man, Amy Chin Siu Wai, Anson Chan Fong, Andrew Leung Kwan Yuen, Frederick Ma Si Hung all bid farewell. Attending services two days in a row, Chung Chor Sun wore sunglasses but still could not hide her pain. When she stepped out of the church tears filled her tear. Andy Lau Tak Wa also sent floral arrangement in condolences.

Best Actress Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi Kung) was also a friend of Kuk Mei Lai but was unable to come to Hong Kong to attend her funeral. Yesterday she posted many photos with her online. "My dearest Linda, my dearest mentor, you left too soon...You will be forever missed. Rest in Peace."
