The Andy Lau Tak Wa produced, Herman Yau Lai To directed, two Best Actors Sean Lau Ching Wan and Francis Ng Chun Yu starred film CRISIS NEGOTIATOR (TAM POON JUEN GA) has performed well at the box office. After 6 days in release its Hong Kong box office has surpassed HK$ 8.5 million. Rarely attending audience appreciation events, Ching Wan would make an appearance this weekend with director Yau Lai To, the "hostage trio" of the film Michael Chow Man Kin, Alan Yeung Wai Lun and Cherry Ngan Cheuk Ling.
Michael in the film played internal investigation department officer. As Ching Wan's hostage they traded barbs and left a deep impression with the audience. Michael before the production put in an effort into studying the character with Director Yau and was glad that everyone was pleased with his performance. "The most memorable line for me was screaming 'Mommy', because the audience laughed very happily!" Michael and Ching Wan set off spark in the film, actually they have known each other for years. Ching Wan earlier in an interview mentioned that he was very happy to run into Michel again this time. Michael agreed and revealed that he came up with Ching Wan's English name Sean when they worked together on a movie over thirty years ago. "31 years old we worked together on THOU SHALT NOT SWEAR (CHUT YUET SUP SEI), then we even worked on the Mr. (Kent) Cheng Juk Si produced BEGINNER'S LUCK (WON CHOI TUNG JI)! I came up with his English name t that time, Sean! So after many years it's like seeing an old friend again. Despite not working together over the years, we still have the chemistry from acting together before. It's very comfortable! The movies we worked together on before had comedy elements, so very naturally this part would more or less be there. Ching Wan once said to me, 'Michael, don't think you are funny; I only laugh because I see how you look when you are not trying to laugh!'"
Keung Ho Man in the film yelled at Chun Yu and said that it was a lot of fun. "Brother Chun Yu has always been very cool; even when filming on the set he rarely chatted. However this time I can directly yell and scream at him in the film, not only did my acting bug got its fill, I also had a lot of fun."
