The actors of the movie BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI) including Louis Koo Tin Lok, Jessica Hester Hsuan (Suen Huen), Raymond Lam Fung, Kevin Chu Kam Yin, etc., went to the shopping center yesterday to attend the "BACK TO THE PAST's New Spring Chapter "Celebrate Hap Pei Nau Yi (Happy New Year) Together Meeting", playing games with fans and giving away Fai Chun. The film has exceeded HK$85 million at the box office in Hong Kong and Macau, which all the leading actors were happy about. Koo Tin Lok revealed that the final box office results would decided whether to start filming a sequel; The extended version has also completed the dubbing work, and is now waiting for the right time for release. Would the extended version be released for the Lunar New Year if the film would exceed HK$ 100 million? He said that he would keep it a secret for now. "When we want to release it, it will be released. Ultimately I look forward to it very much." He was also unwilling to say what was extended, only revealing that he, Lam Fung, and Suen Huen have all completed their dubbing and that it is in post production. He said that he has noticed that his film VITAL SIGNS (SUNG YUEN TOH JUNG) was not on the Hong Kong Film Awards ballot, but he did not comment.

When Koo Tin Lok appeared, Suen Huen saw that he was sleep- deprived and in poor spirits, so she took the initiative to twist his ears to massage and refresh him. At first Koo Tin Lok resisted but finally submitted to Suen Huen, cracking up the crowd. Koo Tin Lok and Suen Huen went to Malaysia a few days ago to promote the movie. They mistakenly won the "jackpot" (hit in the head) when they experienced "Lo Hei", Suen Huen smiled and said, "We all won together. Later some fans said that if we don't step back, we would've been fine. I was scared out of my wits because the clothes were sponsored. I was afraid of getting the clothes dirty." Suen Huen successfully grabbed Koo Tin Lok by the ear. She explained, "The Chinese medicine practitioner said that rubbing the ears more will be good for the body. Since I saw that his mental state seems to be a bit ...... I just rub it for him a bit and see if he will be a little more normal. Actually he has been in a normal state for a long time, I want him to be even more normal."

The reporter asked Koo Tin Lok if he would consider filming the sequel to BACK TO THE PAST. He said that would depends on the global box office. His son in the film Chu Kam Yin also wanted to make the sequel, hoping that the box office would soar to fulfill his wish. He joked that even if he would only have one scene in the sequel he would still make it. As for Raymond Wong Pak Ming's cover of the movie theme song "Destiny Is The Highest" that caused a lot of buzz, Koo Tin Lok said that he has heard it and Suen Huen also liked Brother Pak Ming's rap version performance.

Koo Tin Lok celebrated his mother's birthday a few days ago, showing a rare smile. Suen Huen rushed to say, "He would only show no expression for his own birthday, but for Auntie's birthday he wouldn't. I saw how happy he was smiling." Koo Tin Lok could not help but admire Suen Huen for being able to answer in his place for even his mother's birthday, and hoped that she would answer for him in future interviews. When Suen Huen heard this, she extended her "dragon claw hand" to grab the top of Koo Tin Lok's head. Fans all around made an uproar when they saw the interaction between the two.

Lam Fung's concert in Japan would be postponed. He said that he would depend on the organizers' arrangements before deciding on when the show would resume. He will go to Australia to perform before the Lunar New Year, and after returning to Hong Kong he will have a week to celebrate the New Year and spend time with his family. Then he will start training for the sequel to TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN (GAU LUNG SING JAI JI WAI SING).

The "Next Shot" Youth Short Film Competition 2025 Award Ceremony and the Hong Kong Youth Short Film Competition 2026 Launching Ceremony were held yesterday, with the Film and Television Artistic Director of Bauhinia Culture Group Deng Mougui, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Kenneth Fok Kai Kong, as well as Jennifer Yu Heung Ying, John Chong Ching, Angus Chan Law Chiu, Mabel Cheung Yuen Ting, Stanley Kwan Kam Peng, Jacob Cheung Chi Leung, Tin Kai Man, etc. as award presenters. This year 418 short films in the competition unit and 213 scripts in the venture capital unit were collected, and 8 awards in the competition unit and 7 funding projects in the venture capital unit were selected.

Speaking at the ceremony, the General Manager of the organizer Sil-Metropole Organization Limited Ding Kai said, "When the Sil- Metropole Organization started, the new wave of Hong Kong cinema was booming and we were honored to have participated in and supported the creative journey of many young directors. Sil-Metropole Organization continues to pay attention to and find a new generation of filmmakers with cinematic awareness and creative consciousness, encouraging them to use their cameras to ask questions about the world. We have turned past experiences and legacy ideas into action. Since 2016, we have supported more than 20 young directors, of which more than 7 have completed or are in the process of making their feature film debuts. We look forward to seeing these works at this stage as they continue to develop, transform, and move to a wider screen in the future."

Yu Heung Ying said that she will go to Taiwan for 5 days to meet and communicate with local audiences of her Lunar New Year film DOUBLE HAPPINESS (SEUNG HEI), and would be able to return to Hong Kong to celebrate the New Year with her family before the Lunar New Year. Speaking of her trip to Taiwan, she said frankly, "I am very nervous because this is my first time participating in a Taiwan film. It is also the first time that my work has been released in the Lunar New Year and meeting the audiences there. This is a family-friendly light comedy. Warm and a little touching, I like it very much. In addition this is the first time I have worked with Tin Kai Man to play father and daughter, which is very rare." She laughed and said that Tin Kai Man was completely "in charge of the comedy" in the film, and the audience who watched the preview shows laughed as soon as they saw him appear. Yu Heung Ying even revealed an interesting story during the filming, "Tin Kai Man is really very funny. In one scene everyone was less than professional, the actors present couldn't help but laugh out loud many times. After ten bad takes, even the director couldn't help but speak up to remind everyone." Referring to future plans, she said that she will start filming a new Hong Kong film between April and May. She is currently trying different acting paths, details of which will be announced later; she also expressed her eagerness to act in comedy again and hoped to participate in the filming of Hong Kong-made Lunar New Year films. Meanwhile DOUBLE HAPPINESS will open on the Lunar New Year's Day in Taiwan and on the Lunar 10th in Hong Kong. Jennifer even revealed that her daughter has been looking forward to the film.

Regarding her providing her voice for mainland actress Bai Baihe in the film BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI), Jennifer revealed that she suddenly received the invitation and felt a little surprised. Because she knew that this film has been highly regarded and the hard work of her boss Louis Koo Tin Lok, she was very grateful to provide her voice for the important character.

Dayo Wong suggests for Sammi Cheng to dance if the film would be a box office hit. She agrees that her NIGHT KING co-star Alan Yeung resembles her husband Andy Hui

Dayo Wong Tze Wah, Sammi Cheng Sau Man, Louise Wong Dan Mei, Fish Liew Chi Yu and her boyfriend Lo Chun Yip (Siuyea), Renci Yeung Sze Wing, Mandy Tam Man Huen, girl group COLLAR member Sumling Li, etc., attended the promotional event of the Lunar New Year film "NIGHT KING" (YEH WONG) yesterday and played rock, paper, scissors with fans on the spot.

Tze Wah and Sammi said in an interview that the Lunar New Year is approaching and they will work harder to promote. They will also participate in the audience appreciation activities during the New Year. Sammi laughed and said that although she was struggling between "holiday" and "work", as Tze Wah said, she was very grateful for the opportunity to thank the audience. The slender duo said that they will still enjoy the New Year's food during the Chinese New Year, but they will be moderate and will not eat too much; so as not to look bad when thanking the audience. They also empathized with the fact that maintaining their body shape is actually very tough, and even joked that they could collaborate in filming "The Bitter Blood and Tears History of the Stage" next time. Tze Wah laughed and said that keeping fit has been a major topic, and suggested that everyone should exercise more at all times. Everything could go smoothly with good physical strength, and the New Year will be smoother. Since he has stayed in such good shape, would he consider giving the "shirt removal benefit"? Tze Wah said humorously, "This would be a punishment for the audience! I trained so hard in the film in order to give the audience's eyes a little less punishment. (Will you consider dancing and singing with Sammi as a benefit?) That's an even bigger punishment, I'm worried that the audience will leave halfway through it. Maybe I will watch Sammi dance, and I'll do a 'stand up dance'!" Regarding the group dance scene in the film, some online mistakenly identified Alan Yeung Wai Lun for Sammi's husband Andy Hui Chi On. Sammi said that he has shown the photos to On Jai, and both of them felt that the similarity was at least 80% if not 100%. They were difficult to distinguish.

In the film Siuyea and Wong Dan Nei play a couple, and his girlfriend Liew Chi Yu said that she was not envious. Because her romance in the film was also wonderful and gorgeous, she had so much fun at the shoot that she almost forgot to go home. She and Siuyea joked about waiting for the premiere to see whose intimate scene was more intense, because neither have not seen the completed version. They would not visit the set during filming, so as not to put pressure on their co-stars. However Liew Chi Yu also mentioned that she has not performed in the same film with her boyfriend in a long time, so this time she felt particularly enjoyable. The funny thing was that when the reporter asked Siuyea who he thought was sexier and more beautiful between his girlfriend and Wong Dan Nei in the play, he did not dare to answer, avoided the question and light said everyone was pretty.

Speaking of memorable parts of the shoot, Wong Dan Nei revealed, "At the center of the dance floor, everyone listen to hit songs and dance; which can express our night club's cheerful atmosphere." Liew Chi Yu also agreed, "I also thought of that dance scene, which was very happy and very hot; so hot that even the bra (slipped)......because it wasn't on too tight, I had to keep holding on to it." Wong Dan Nei, "There wasn't any wardrobe malfunction, because everyone is holding on. We were afraid that if something fell out it wouldn't be so good." Liew Chi Yu said that both she and Wong Dan Nei were sexy, but Wong Dan Nei had more to look at. Wong Dan Nei said, "This time is probably my sexiest performance."

Yeung Sze Wing pointed out that every night someone would "treat". Although they had endless sources of good food in front of them, they had to maintain their figures to play escorts. So they only got to look and not to eat; Tam Man Huen apologized to the crew, which limited her to ruining 5 pairs of black stockings at most. Yet she ruined 20 pairs, which showed that the shoot was not easy at all.

Sonija Kwok Sin Nei and Yanny (Lau Yi Ting) @Lolly Talk attended a New Spring event yesterday. Kwok Sin Nei said that this Lunar New Year she will take her daughter back to her husband's hometown in Henan with him, gather with relatives and friends for a reunion dinner, and set off fireworks. She has also bought gifts for her mother in law and sisters in law in advance. Would she bring BACK TO THE PAST flash cards for family and friends as a souvenir? She laughed and said that she has been saving them herself. "Kam Ching's are relatively fewer, my daughter has taken the one I saved one. Maybe I would bring some BACK TO THE PAST souvenirs to everyone." She revealed that she has completed the dubbing of the extended version of BACK TO THEPAST, and this time a family scene was extended. She believed that the chance of its release would be very high. As for the top-secret clip, She smiled and said: "Since it has been shot it's not top-secret, it is presentable."

Yanny has been very supportive and revealed that she has watched BACK TO THE PAST five times. She even wore a costume to promote the movie as "Kam Ching", and cooked a heart-shaped steak for Louis Koo Tin Lok (Goo Jai) to eat. Kwok Sin Nei laughed and said that she has watched the short video, praising that she felt something from her portrayal. She also joked that there was "Hong Siu Lung" fed her steak with his own hands in the video, "He usually refuses to even give a heart." Was she envious? Kwok Sin Nei replied with a smile, "I am not envious; I have a husband to feed me." Yanny said that she was too nervous at the time and did not expect Goo Jai to cut and feed it to her himself. She said that she liked the role of "Kam Ching" the most, as she was very smart in everything.

Lolly Talk's contract with its old company has ended, would she sign with Koo Tin Lok? Yanny said no, revealing that the eight members have been discussing the whereabouts together but the decision has not yet been finalized. Although different companies have beckoned to them, they emphasized that they would make decisions based on consensus and have set no specific time limit. At this stage she would first earn extra money independently.

In addition viewers who have watched BACK TO THE PAST praised Kwok Sin Nei for taking good care of herself and being beautiful for so many years. Kwok Sin Nei thanked everyone for their appreciation, and said with a smile that she has always kept going to beauty salons, doing exercise and body management. She would also go and look around, cultivate culture so that she can give the audience more. Speaking of her 13-year-old daughter, she laughed and said that her daughter could be more beautiful and hoped that she would be more beautiful as she got older.

The world of Kabuki, the elaborately stylised, male Japanese theatrical tradition, is the setting for director Lee Sang-il's epic melodrama of artistic ambition, rivalry and betrayal. It is an adaptation of a bestseller by Shuichi Yoshida, and weaves in stunning stagings of classic Kabuki tales that wowed audiences at Cannes Directors' Fortnight. In 1960s Nagasaki, after the death of his yakuza father, gifted teenager Kikuo is taken under the wing of famed Kabuki actor Hanjiro Hanai, even though the great performer already has a son, Shunsuke, who has dedicated his life to the art. [ BROADWAY CIRCUIT ]
In the often overlooked, aging neighborhoods of Scarborough, Ontario, four Hong Kong immigrants who arrived in the 1990s quietly unravel in middle age. Once a rising star in Hong Kong, a devoted carer for her elderly mother, a single mother struggling to make ends meet, and a widower yearning for connection – they each clutch fading fragments of dignity, community, and hope in a place as worn and forgotten as they are. The film portrays these fragile souls reaching out for connection – and discovering how far loneliness can stretch. Growing up within this immigrant community, the director witnessed firsthand the resilience of immigrants, creating a poignant meditation on displacement, aging, and the delicate threads that bind us all.

    Vancouver International Film Festival

[ VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2025 ]
Timothy Yeung's film is a story of big losses, small triumphs, and moments of grace amid the grind of capitalism — in other words, life itself. Four Hong Kong immigrants are living lives of desperation in Scarborough, Ontario: Dan was a pop singer on the rise before his move to Canada, now he's barely scraping by; Eva is a lonely woman whose commitment to her aging mother has held her back in life; Fan is a part-time sex worker struggling to break into real estate; Tony is an aging widower whose factory job is at risk.

Through these characters, Yeung explores diasporic alienation, economic hardship, and social isolation. His film is rich in cultural specificity, but that never obstructs his wider view. Building outwards from private hopes and personal pain, he creates a rich social document that cradles within it four precious human portraits. Tam, Yeung, Lee, and Wong are superb — their performances ring with commitment and authenticity.

The famous martial arts movie star Bruce Leung Siu Lung passed away on the 14th of this month at the age of 75. His disciple Danny Chu Chun Yin posted on behalf of him, revealing that Leung Siu Lung bid farewell peacefully at 4 p.m. on January 14th after a 6 hours effort to save his life due to heart failure. Leung Siu Lung's funeral was held in Longgang, Shenzhen yesterday. Inside and outside the funeral home was crowded with relatives, friends and fans who went to see him off. The mourning hall was simply decorated, Leung Siu Lung in the posthumous photo gave a thumbs up.

According to those who went to see him off, in order to take care of the fans, the family opened two mourning halls; one for family members and relatives and the other for fans to mourn. Chan Wai Man, Pai Piao, Lam Wai and Wong Ha Wai waited in Shenzhen to bid farewell to Leung Siu Lung. With some mobility difficulty, Chan Wai Man arrived with a cane and looked sad. After Leung Siu Lung's death Chan Wai Man posted a mourning video on social platforms, choking up and saying that he only learned the bad news 3 days after the death of his sworn brother Leung Siu Lung. He felt very upset and could not believe it at all. Pai Piao has worked with Leung Siu Lung many times before and were as close as brothers. They would often meet. When he learned of Leung Siu Lung's death, he felt very upset because they had only had dinner with each other two weeks ago; it felt very sudden.

Stephen Chow Sing Chi invited Leung Siu Lung to play the villain in the movie KUNG FU HUSTLE (GONG FU), and Leung Siu Lung's popularity rose again. However later they were rumored to be at odds. After Leung Siu Lung passed away, Chow Sing Chi posted a message of condolences on social platforms, "Mr. Leung Siu Lung will be forever missed." Yesterday Chow Sing Chi sent a wreath to express his condolences, writing: "Forever missed Mr. Leung Siu Lung, Chow Sing Chi respectfully".

[2026.01.26] HONG KONG FILM CRITIC SOCIETY PROVIDES REASONS BEHIND ITS AWARDS

The Hong Kong Film Critic Society members say Best Actor Louis Koo gives an outstanding performance and Best Actress Fish Liew wins with her acting. Both victories have a lot of votes

SONS OF THE NEON NIGHT almost becomes a recommended film

Film critics Yip Chak Sing, Tsang Siu Wan, Cheuk Nam, and Cheung Wai Hung discuss the reasons behind this year's Hong Kong Film Critic Society Award winners.
courtesy of mingpao.com

The 32nd Hong Kong Film Critic Society Awards earlier announced its winners. Louis Koo Tin Lok and Fish Liew Chi Yu won Best Actor and Best Actress. Best Film went to the so-called "urban legend" CIAO UFO (JOI GEIN UFO). Yesterday the Film Critic Society held a public forum at Causeway Bay to give the public an understanding behind the awards and the recommended films, discuss the reasons and key points. Member film critics Yip Chak Sing, Tsang Siu Wan, Cheuk Nam and Cheung Wai Hung were the speakers.

The speakers revealed that there were questions about the film critic society having 10 recommended films in the past but only 6 this year. They explained that every year the recommended film quantity was different. Award winning films would not need special recommendations. They felt that last year's film quality was weak in comparison. Several "urban legend" movies aside from CIAO UFO were truly iffy, among them SONS OF THE NEON NIGHT (FUNG LUM FOR SHAN) was one vote short of becoming a recommended film. They said that with the entire film market has been weak and poor, the critic society did not want to go too easy and hence only recommended 6 films. Members once discussed leaving certain categories vacant this year, in the end they voted to keep all the awards. Best Actor and Actress Koo Tin Lok and Liew Chi Yu won with many votes. Liew Chi Yu in SOMEONE LIKE ME (JEUNG NGOR JEH YEUNG DIK OI CHING) played a cerebral palsy patient, a difficult role that she has obviously put in the hard work to play. Hence she won with her acting; Koo Tin Lok in BEHIND THE SHADOWS (SI GA JING TAM) gave an outstanding performance. They stressed that he did not receive the award out of "respect", but from fair voting after individual testimonies and discussions.

Raymond Lam Fung visited Taiwan again after many years to thank the audience for his movie BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI), which attracted a large number of media interviews when he attended a press conference there yesterday. Regarding playing the same role again after 25 years and reuniting with his co-stars, he joked, "It's nice to see a lot of actors back then, it feels like a dream." He played the role of "Emperor Qin" in the film and was domineering. He revealed that in reality he had encountered fans who asked him to say "presumptuous" to them, which made Lam Fung smile bitterly and said, "Everyone is masochistic, and I finally said 'drag them out for beheading'." The audience burst into laughter!

Lam Fung claimed that no "ordinary subject" recognized him. He said frankly that he would like to thank the management company, the boss and co-star Louis Koo Tin Lok (Goo Jai), saying that he has been like a teacher and a friend for many years. He would even carefully help him choose the script. "He is really my master. I rehearsed with him a lot back then. I was stupid and didn't know what I was acting, and he taught me a lot of things." Sepaking of Goo Jai's strong aura, he explained on his behalf, "That's not called scary, it's called respectable. Of course when I first entered the industry, I was afraid of him and trembled; but later he became my great boss and big brother, and I had more respect when I saw his enthusiasm."

Lam Fung pointed out that the last time he visited Taiwan was before he got married, when he and his wife Carina Zhang Xinyue went on vacation to Kaohsiung and Kenting. They once encountered a typhoon and the hotel also advised them to cancel the reservation, but Lam Fung felt that "since they were already here" they continued the trip. The two had a romantic and thrilling journey. Due to the tight schedule this time, he could not go shopping and try the food. He could only enjoy beef noodles at the hotel for fun. After returning to Hong Kong today he will continue to shoot new films, and after the Lunar New Year he will start preparing for the sequel to TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN (GAU LUNG SING JAI JI WAI SING).

Gordon Lam Ka Tung was a guest at the Central Harbourfront yesterday for a charity run. Regarding this year's new plan, Ka Tung revealed that he is preparing scripts for new directors, hoping that everyone would have the opportunity to start filming. Earlier he has performed on the stage, after which he has received many stage work offers. He also felt that performing on the stage was very pleasant, but because it took a very long time his film work had to be suspended. He would like to spend the time back on film from now on.

Regarding Louis Koo Tin Lok's earlier "Hong Kong Film Critics Society" Best Actor Award, Ka Tung said that he has watched the award- winning film BEHIND THE SHADOWS (SI GA JING TAM) and congratulated him on making an outstanding work. As for a number of films that were said to be eligible to participate in the Hong Kong Film Awards earlier but were still "disqualified", Ka Tung said that he was busy working in the mainland recently and has not paid attention.

[2026.01.25] DAYO WONG STARVES TO KEEP FROM MAKING THE AUDIENCE SICK

Dayo Wong Tze Wah, Sammi Cheng Sau Man, Renci Yeung Sze Wing, Mandy Tam Man Huen and others attended the promotional event of their Lunar New Year film "NIGHT KING" (YEH WONG) yesterday. The movie has launched a special limited set of 50 ticket packs worth HK$888. Director Jack Ng Wai Lun was happy that fans were lining up over night to buy then, which made him more confident in the box office of the movie. In the film Tze Wah needed to appear half-naked, he got into good shape to go into battle, saying that he did not want the audience to feel disgusted. Even Sammi praised Tze Wah's figure as eye-opening.

Playing a night club manager, Wong Tze Wah had many smoking scenes. He advised everyone not to smoke, because smoking a cigarette in front of the camera was actually smoking a lot behind the camera. He said with a smile, "I don't smoke. Although I smoked when I was younger, I haven't smoked for many years. This time it's really a sacrifice for art." Earlier in the trailer he said, "The word is tough, we still keep going." Last night's event took place at 11 AM and he joked, "Today getting up that early was also very tough, but I still kept going. I trained for a week to be able to get up so early."

Boasting of being responsible for her appearance in the film, Sammi funnily said that the bed scene with Wong Tze Wah was too short and fleeting. "I want to ask it to be a little longer, now it's a little short, faded in a flash. I also think that his underwear is a little long, but I can see that he has put a lot of effort into this scene. He is in great shape, when I saw his body my eyes blinked. I had a little impulse and my eyes were opened." Wong Tze Wah heard and immediately said that she finally found his weak spot and felt very embarrassed. He only minded that the blanket was too short. "I thought the blanket was a little short, I hope it would be a little longer. It's just the difference between paying attention and making people sick. If I don't pay attention I would make the audience sick. I didn't deliberately train, I just don't want everyone to feel sick, so two months before the shoot I just watched my diet. However the director arranged for this scene to shoot last, making me starve through the entire shoot. Now I can eat normally, having gained back a dozen or so pounds and am very happy."

As for his confidence in the box office, Tze Wah has already participated in Lunar New Year films for many years. He believed that the audience will be happy, but no one knows the results for now. As a film professional he would feel that the film is pretty funny and full of twists and turns. No longer remember how many years she has not participated in a Lunar New Year movie, Sammi thought that the most important thing was to be able to work happily with a good team. She was able to play the role she liked, and the script was also interesting. It was not simply funny, everyone would understand when they enter the theaters to watch it.

Renci Yeung Sze Wing, Mandy Tam Man Suen, Hazel Lam Hei Tung, Sumling Li and LaiYing Tang played escorts. Tam Man Suen laughed and said that she was in charge of drinking games in the film, but she did not know how to at all beforehand. She needed to find a master to learn the arts, saying, "The master even taught me the skills of con artists. I feel that in order to be the king of games, even if I lose I still have to have the presence. So this Lunar New Year please don't look for me." Sumling felt that the entire film was very colorful. "There are different attractive figures, each is attractive in its own way. Because no expense was spared on costumes, every one was great. However some of the stories were very touching, and some spots made me want to cry." She revealed that in the film her "oral skill was the strongest"; she could tie the cherry stem into a knot in her mouth and amaze many. She smiled and said, "Of course it is impossible to do in reality. (Do you have any intimate scene?) I got intimate with the cherry." Yeung Sze Wing joked that in the previous film (A GUILTY CONSCIENCE (DUK SIT DAI JONG)) she played a professional lawyer, this time she turned into a professional dance escort. She believed that everyone would enjoy this contrast. She laughed and said that her secret weapon was her eyes and even previewed that she would dance and sway. Although the dance costume was not very sexy, the attitude was sultry. When asked if she had any intimate scenes, Yeung Sze Wing smiled bitterly and said that the actor she worked with the most was Dee Ho Kai Wah. She worried that her acting career only had him and Kaki Sham. Was neither actor any match for her real boyfriend Owen Cheung Chun Long? She said, "Ho Kai Wah is a good co-star, aside from eating garlic and fried cabbage before filming intimate scenes. (Will you let your boyfriend enter the theater and watch the movie?) All of Hong Kong must go and watch." Young Hazel was responsible for cosplay, dressed up as a nurse to "give shots" to clients. The costumes this time were absolutely her personal breakthrough. "I have many different costumes, with little cloth and short dresses. Even in secondary school my dresses were down to the knees." The funny Lai Ying said that her character was the night club's secret weapon, showing off her fluent Japanese like mad in the film to please the clients' Japanese girl fantasies.

Director Ng Wai Lun was surprised as many viewers lined up overnight to buy the 50 limited edition golden diamond class ticket packages, which were sold out in 20 minutes. He thanked all the bosses for their support, which gave him much more confidence in the box office. He stressed that he did not feel that being able invite Wong Tze Wah and Cheng Sau Man to smoke and use foul language in the film was very sharp. "None of my business. They are very professional, after reading the script they have no taboo at all."

After leaving TVB last year Ali Lee Kai Sum set up his own studio to develop independently, and went to Malaysia for the drama THE EXILED with Chris Lai Lok Yi. She also opened the online platform "H3O" with Kaki Leung and Yeung Chiu Hoi. Yesterday Lai Kai Sum reportedly has signed a contract with Kenny Wee (Wong Ho), the husband of former TVB artist Suki Chui Ching Yiu (formerly known as Chui Suk Man), and would perform in 3 movies to become Wong Ho's first key project of his HK$ 800 million movie kingdom.

Wong Ho started in food industry. Years ago he invested in a media company. Last year he reportedly led the establishment of film funds in the United States, Hong Kong and Singapore, which allegedly involved an investment of more than US$100 million (nearly HK$800 million). At that time he said that he wanted to contribute to the Hong Kong film industry, and believed that someone would watch the good content that he invested in. This time he signed a contract with Lee Kai Sum and told the media that his wife Suki Chui Ching Yiu recommended her. He has already paid attention to Lee Kai Sum's performance during her TVB period, and praised her acting skills. After his wife's suggestion, he contacted Lee Kai Sum through Andrew Yue Ming Hong and arranged for her to meet with three directors of the movies he would invest in. All three really liked Lee Kai Sum, so he signed her to a 3 movie deal. Wong Ho pointed out that he has met Lee Kai Sum with director Jingle Ma Chor Sing in Malaysia in July last year, the two sides talked for a long time, and the intention to cooperate was gradually established. He invested in the Wing Shya (Ha Wing Hong) directed film that would shoot on location in South Korea and Singapore, and also confirmed that Lee Kai Sum had a role.

Lee Kai Sum went to Taichung the day before yesterday to attend the production start ceremony of her new film, one of the production companies of which was the Wong Ho invested film company. Lee Kai Sum and French Taiwanese actor Fabio Grangeon would play husband and wife in the film, which is expected to complete production before the Lunar New Year and open at the end of this year.

Mainland actor Li Xian, Korean girl group MEOVV member GAWON, Korean guy group SEVENTEEN member JOSHUA, as well as local music diva Sammi Cheng Sau Man and the newly crowded Best Actress Fish Li Chi Yu, together with Will Or Wai Lam, Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun, Kary Ng Yu Fei, etc., went to Central yesterday to attend the opening event of the brand's new store. They attracted a large number of fans to come and show their support. Li Xian, GAWON and JOSHUA introduced themselves in Cantonese and drew endless screams from fans. Cheng Sau Man has been busy recording a new album and promoting the Lunar New Year film "NIGHT KING" (YEH WONG), saying that through the collaboration she really got to know Dayo Wong Tze Wah and created chemistry for the performance. She even described him as "responsible for the flesh" in the film. Liew Chi Yu was happy to win the award with her boss Louis Koo Tin Lok, and hoped that they would have the opportunity to play a couple.

Cheng Sau Man revealed that her work schedule before the concert in April has been jam packed, including the completion of a new EP album. "I want to record at least 6 new songs. I originally wanted to release an album, but I couldn't find so many songs. I didn't want to force it." She co-starred with Dayo Wong Tze Wah in the Lunar New Year film "NIGHT KING" (YEH WONG), which would be promoted later. "I would describe working with him as joyous and happy, it seems too simple. I am very happy to really get to know Tze Wah as a person, as from being polite we always talk to get to know each other. We very quickly found the chemistry in the performance, and I am very happy since I haven't made a Lunar New Year film in many years; although this is a comedy, I am the happiest about not in charge of being funny. Because I have made a lot of comedies before, I hope to have a different weight in my acting skills. In the film I am responsible for love, and the funny part has nothing to do with me. The bed scene was not difficult to handle either, because Tze Wah showed more than me; he took on the physical responsibility, and the most difficult part of my role was to use a lot of foul language and smoke a lot." Was she also responsible for being sexy? She could not help but laugh at herself, "There are some low-cut clothes, some pads for me to add. Yet at most I added a double layer. My starting point is too low, I wouldn't look too exaggerated no matter how many pads I add. The result would not be strong, but still better than nothing."

Cheng Sau Man said that if she would have time off during the Lunar New Year, she would like to travel abroad. Her husband Andy Hui Chi On (On Jai) may not be able to accompany her because he would have to work. How has Hui Chi On's return to work been? She said, "He has arranged all that himself, this year he still has some plans in progress. As a fan, of course I think having a new song would be a new song. I am looking forward to On Jai's new work, but I have no plans to sing with him for the time being."

Liew Chi Yu won the Best Actress Award at the 2025 Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards for "SOMEONE LIKE ME" (JEUNG NGOR JEH YEUNG DIK OI CHING). She was the happiest to win the award with her boss Louis Koo Tin Lok, who won the Best Actor with "BEHIND THE SHADOWS" (SI GA JING TAM). She felt that this matter was very dreamy, and hoped to have the opportunity to make a movie with her boss. "Except for "BACK TO THE PAST" (CHUM CHUN GEI), we have never worked together on the film set. I hope to be able to play a couple with Boss, I have loved watching him since I was little. Yet I can't imagine that there would be an intimate scene." She caught the bridal bouquet at Yanny Chan Wing Yan's wedding ceremony earlier, and said that it was the second time she got it. She was afraid that she would not be able to get married after catching it twice. Would she like to be a bride in the Year of the Horse? She said, "We have talked about it, and everyone are seriously thinking about getting married. Yet it is probably too late in the Year of the Horse."

Will Or Wai Lam suddenly posted on social platforms a few days ago: "Yes, I really have been well accepted. Thank you, let's go." It truly worried many. On his 34th birthday the day before yesterday, he carried a bouquet of flowers from fans and said that he was very happy to receive different flowers. His birthday wish was to wish everyone who has wished him good health to be healthy. He explained that the message he left a few days ago was actually dialogue from the Taiwanese film "A FOGGY TALE". "What do people being frightened have to do with me? Now I am scared. Health problems have been talked about for half a year and I have been nagged all day long. Everyone cares about my health, and I am starting to feel a little annoyed."
