The December 3D film release THE GUILLOTINES (HUET DIK JI) earlier promoted in Hong Kong and the Mainland. Boss Dr. Peter Lam Kin Ngok held a celebration for the team. Attendees included producer Peter Chan Ho Sun, director Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Huang Xiaoming, Shawn Yue Man Lok, Chris Lee Yuchun and Jing Boran. Xiaoming and Ah Lok's birthdays will both be on the 13th. The team secretly prepared birthday cakes for them and arranged for dishes like longevity noodles and birthday buns, much to the surprise of them both.

Lau Wai Keung and Jing Boran when the birthday boys were not paying attention suddenly brought out two birthday cakes and surprised them both. Everyone sang birthday songs to celebrate. The director asked Xiaoming how old he would be after the birthday. He joked, "18." Ah Lok said that he never thought about celebrating his birthday. He also took advantage of the chaos and kissed Xiaoming when he was busy with the cake. Later he joked, "Hahaha, great!" Xiaoming awkwardly said, "This was the first time I kissed a man in my life, my first kiss went to him." Aside from birthday cakes, the boss also prepared birthday gifts for them. Lok Jai received a bottle of 1981 vintage wine while Xiaoming received a bottle of 1977 whiskey. Both were made on their birth years. Later the birthday boys asked the boss for a photo together but surprised him with a kiss instead. The boss of course was no match for their coordinated attack.

Later Ah Lok and Xiaoming shared the birthday bun and birthday cake with other workers. Ah Lok said, "I wish for THE GUILLOTINES to be a big hit, 700 or 800 million at the box office would be enough. Save the rest for the sequel." As for birthday wish, he said, "When one person makes a wish it may not be completely successful, but when we both make a wish, it should be successful." Xiaoming said, "Right, 700 or 800 million!" Speaking of Ah Lok's kiss, he joked, "Ah Lok robbed me of the first kiss of my life with a man. Originally we wanted to kiss each other's face, I didn't expect to turn around and get one on the lips."
