Joey Wang Cho Yin earlier returned to Hong Kong and last month the media caught her on camera. Earlier she filed suit with the superior court against Next Media and its publications for defamation. Wang Cho Yin stated in the suit that Next Media's Apple Daily, Face and Next Magazine on August 23 to 29 in print and online published articles that defamed Wang Cho Yin, causing damage to her reputation and career. She asked the court to issue an injunction against Next Media and the aforementioned publications from further defamation articles online and in print and demanded compensation from them.
Wang Cho Yin has already returned to Canada. Lately no one online was able to find any trace of her. At the time in order to prove that her face did not change, had a friend take photos of her and post them online. However after returning to Canada she remained quiet, thus her intention for a comeback remained unknown.
