Gong Li accepted the television program TELLING MARIA 2's interview. She talked about working with Stephen Chow Sing Chi on FLIRTING SCHOLAR (TONG BAK FU DIM CHAU HEUNG) 20 years ago. Because she studied very legitimate performance at the school, she did not understand at the time. She also did not understand Chow Sing Chi's method. Now, the Mainland almost every week would have a television station that aired the film. Everyone had a lot of fun watching it, which made her regret that at the time she did not properly perform; if she had a chance, she would like to be like other actors and "madly" performance.

Gong Li once worked with Andy Lau Tak Wa on the film WHAT WOMEN WANT. She gave Wa Jai very high praise, complimenting him for being able to make a very serious tragedy but also had a lot of fun when making a comedy. He gave her a belly ache from laughing. As for Zhang Yimou, Gong Li felt that Zhang Yimou lived for film, his life was film. Years later they worked together again on RETURN and felt like a family. They did not need to be too cordial with each other.
