Nick Cheung Ka Fai in the Universe new film THE WHITE STORM (SO DUK) played a couple with former Thailand transgender contest winner Poy. In the film Ka Fai ignored conventional wisdom to be in love with Poy. With Director Benny Chan Muk Sing's arrangement, Ka Fai at first had to overcome his own mental obstacles. "It's the first time I am in contact with this type of friends. Although the story is reasonable, I feel a little strange. However after working together I feel Poy is very serious at work and able to get along with the cast and the crew."

Because the intimate scenes were to be shot with "positioning", Ka Fai joked that he had to thank Director Chan for permitting him to complete the "greatest challenge of his film career". Did he tell his wife before hand? Ka Fai joked, "Of course I acted first and asked questions later." The three lead actors Ka Fai, Louis Koo Tin Lok and Sean Lau Ching Wan later will head to Rome for a film festival.
