Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Carina Lau Ka Ling last night attended a trendy lifestyle brand "Tang Tang Tang Tang" event. Wai Jai earlier went skiing. He looked much thinner than before but much more energized. He even humorously responded to reporters' questions. Wai Jai revealed that he has already went skiing overseas twice and had a lot of fun on his holiday. He had no date set for his return to work. Wai Jai said that he did not feel like working yet. "I really like this sport, not that I want to compete. Later I will ski in Southeast Asia because I am afraid of long flights." Reportedly director Dante Lam Chiu Yin wanted him and Nick Cheung Ka Fai for his film at the end of the film. Wai Jai admitted that they were in early negotiations, but so far nothing has been confirmed. He would consider it when it had a complete story and script.
Wai Jai felt that after acting nonstop for years an actor had to rest and absorb new things in order to bring a different freshness to the audience. In addition currently he has not run into a script that he really liked. He also felt that he was older, years of acting have taken their toll and he would rather continue to rest. Wai Jai revealed that he had many vacation plans. "I want to live an orderly life, I also want to study vocal training, form movement control, dance, and kung fu. I have to take the initiative to study, I wouldn't ask Lau Ka Ling to keep me company."
Wai Jai with THE GRANDMASTER (YUT DOI JUNG SI) would compete for the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor. He felt that after receiving a nomination he would have a chance to win, but he humbly said that the award did not belong to him alone. The credit should go to the entire team's hard work, after all the film took 5 years to make. The process was difficult. He also longed to win an award to encourage the team. Some pointed out that Cheung Ka Fai was his biggest rival. Wai Jai said, "Different awards have different standards." Speaking of his earlier turn on a Berlin Film Festival jury, he said that the process was exhausting but very pleasant and beneficial.
Claiming to know how to dance, Ka Ling might not follow her husband to study dance. She relied on running everyday and yoga to stay in shape. Speaking of Vicki Zhao Wei trying to bring together friends Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung in France, Ka Ling said, "I didn't read the report and I don't know what to say. Anything can happen in the world, a plane can be missing for days, as long as you are alive you have news to read! Faye Wong lives pretty well on her own, she rather enjoys her life now. As long as a person is happy he or she is fine. Sometimes two people together can be happy but they can be unhappy as well."
Was she interested in directing the Alex Wong Hoi Fung film company's new film SUMMER'S DESIRE? Ka Ling said that she might not necessarily make a romance. She might make a road movie, or sex and violence; her dream was to produce because directing required her to be even more professional.
