The film THE EMPTY HANDS (HUNG SAU DOH) earlier was invited to be screened at the 16th New York Asian Film Festival. Star Stephy Tang Lai Yun represented the team to meet with the audience in New Year. On July 6th, the event held an award ceremony and presented the Screen International Rising Star Asia Award to Tang Lai Yun. She became the first Hong Kong film star to receive the honor.
Tang Lai Yun said that she was very honored to receive the award and thanked each film festival judge. Tang Lai Yun said that in her 17 years in the business, she gradually turned from singer to professional actor and was more and more passionate about her performing art career. "Each character is a new life." She continued, "Although I am no longer considered a new comer, I would always remember not to forget my start. I would be curious about everything and face my challenges like a first timer."
