The Nick Cheung Ka Fai, William Chan Wai Ting, Isabella Leong Lok Si starred film BURSTING POINT (BAU LIT DIM) not only had attractive action scenes but Cheung Ka Fai also had his moment of acting peak. His character "Bong Sir" kept traversing between everyone in an intermediary role. Whether his colleagues, informants, family, they all needed his help to be able to resolve their problems. His on scree son Adrien Yau Tsz Him was one of them. In the film the father and son relationship has been rather poor. Thought of as abandoning his family, he tried his best to save his relationship with his son. Thus whenever his son was in trouble, he would drop everything to save him without any regard for anything else.
As for the scene of Ka Fai's great acting eruption, in the story his phone received a video about his son. He needed to express the full range of emotions on his face to be able to depict the feeling of collapse. In 30 seconds, Ka Fai performed a variety of different emotions in layers. From receiving the video of unknown origin, he looked extremely confused, then shocked, then had difficulty with believing as panic set in his eyes. He proceeded to get upset and frightened. Aside from frowning, Ka Fai also had difficulty with breathing; then extreme heartbreak and heartache followed as tears began to well up in his eyes. He followed with a scream of sorrow, completely unable to accept what he has just seen. Everything could be seen from just his facial expressions.
After finishing this scene, Ka Fai needed time to settle his emotions. On the set he sat, stunned. Even when the crew handed him tissue he refused. This type of collapse lingered for a long time. Lam Chiu Yin of course was rather pleased with the result, praising Ka Fai's "Seven Best Actor Cheung" title was well deserved.
