The film SISTERHOOD (GWUT MUI) two nights ago held a premiere. Lead actress Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Stephanie Che Yuen Yuen, Teresa Mak Ka Kei attended. the two Hong Kong Film Award Best Supporting Actress and Best New Actor nominee Fish Liew Chi Yu and Jennifer Yu Heung Yi demonstrated the four hand massage on co-star Kevin Chu Kam Yin. Friend Miriam Yeung Chin Wa showed her support but quietly went inside without being interviewed, as she did not want to steal Gigi's thunder.

Leung Wing Kei took the role right after she gave birth and before she could get back into shape. She joked that now "the ugly truth" finally came out. Gigi admitted that she really liked this film, especially when it was shot in Macau with all its local color. Although her husband Sergio was with their daughter at home, she will go to the movie with him again when it will be released. She believed that he would be very interested.

The film was invited to the Osaka Asian Film Festival, but Gigi would have to work on a movie in the Mainland and would be unable to attend. Two new actors Liew Chi Yu and Yu Heung Yi were nominated for Hong Kong Film Award Best Supporting Actress and Best New Actor. Gigi was very happy for them, she praised Fish for her acting potential and picked her to win. Unfortunately director Tracy Choi was not nominated for the New Director award. This time the team was all female, and they were still able to make a quality film.

Liew Chi Yu said about co-star Gigi picking her to win Best Supporting Actress, "I also really like Gigi's aura. When I first came to Hong Kong people said I looked like her. This time I played the 90's Gigi, I hope some of her luck would rub off on me." Yu Heung Yi pointed out that Gigi in the film brought out the message of regret, thus she cried all three times that she saw it. Her boyfriend Carlos Chan Ka Lok already saw her unedited foul language version at the Macau premiere and praised her performance. However he said that Fish played even better. They also said that they would team up to walk the Hong Kong Film Award red carpet, they could only set aside their boyfriend Chan Ka Lok and Aaron Chow Chi Kwan.

Che Yuen Yuen two nights ago attended the premiere with her husband. She touched her pregnant belly and said that after this night her promotion would come to an end as she waited to deliver.

Gordon Lam Ka Tung with the film TRIVISA (SHU DAI CHIU FUNG) was nominated for the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor. Yesterday he said on the radio that every Best Actor nominee was evenly strong. Each character was hard to play, which was also a good thing. Richie Jen (Yam Yin Jai) was also nominated. Ka Tung admitted regret that their co-star Jordan Chan Siu Chun was not. If all three were nominated he could not be happier. Who was the strongest competition? He said, "I can't tell, I haven't seen all the movies so it's very hard to evaluate. Instead I feel after years of hard work, I would get a lot of people's applause that night. It will be a huge encouragement."

Ka Tung mentioned that when he left television, some made fun of him for not knowing how to act. Did he feel like he has avenged himself today? Ka Tung said, "Many people want to project how they think onto others. I only felt very alone, as no one understood what I did. I was too lazy to explain. (Did they look down on you?) No, a good friend thought that my decision then was very silly. We ran into each other recently, he said, "I never expected that from you". I too had my own dream."

After his nomination his injured mentor Andy Lau Tak Wa encouraged him. Originally Wa Jai promised to attend the Hong Kong Film Critic Society Award presentation next month to personally witness Ka Tung's Best Actor award acceptance, but Wa Jai will not be able to due to his injury. Ka Tung admitted that he was not too happy but hoped that Wa Jai would get well soon.

[2017.02.23] DEREK TSANG HAS NO RESPONSE TO VENUS WONG'S SCHOOL GIRL LOOK

courtesy of on.cc

Venus Wong Man Yik starred in the film TO LOVE OR NOT TO LOVE (CHOR LUEN YUT GEI: JIN NAM MUK YAU), which will officially open on March 2nd. Venus in the film again donned a school uniform and gave her first kiss to the "jerk" in the film Edward Ma Chi Wai. Although she said that she had a "memorable bed scene with nothing held back", in the end he unfortunately broke her heart thoroughly.

Venus' school uniform also included gym class shorts. Some online had nothing but praised for her uniform look. However Venue revealed that when her boyfriend Derek Tsang Kwok Cheung visited the set, he had no reaction to this school girl look. She said, "Earlier he visited the set with late night snacks, but when he saw my costume he didn't have any comment. In the film I had a business woman relationship guide look that was drastically different. He had quite a reaction to that and sad that he couldn't accept that costume. Haha, I think guys want their girlfriend to be innocent and simple."

Venue admitted that playing a school girl again was still fresh to her. She said, "My previous work had a memorable student uniform look too, each time it gave people a different impression. This time the school uniform felt particularly fresh, quite a difference from the story development in the second half as I went from a super innocent school girl to an independent woman, a love guru, I hope everyone would be reminded of this character when they think of first love from now on."

BabyJohn Choi Hong Yik yesterday promoted his film VAMPIRE CLEAN UP DEPARTMENT (GAU GEUNG CHING DOH FU) on the radio. He was very happy that the film will participate in film festivals in Belgium and Canada. Unfortunately he will be too busy with the promotion to attend them.

BabyJohn in the film had scenes in the water. He revealed, "I had to be under water for a minute, I already had a scuba diving license but I wasn't at my best that day. I didn't use an oxygen tank either so I ended up getting sick. I really was quite shameful."

Charmaine Sheh Sze Man, Tavia Yeung Yi, Ron Ng Cheuk Hei and Fama two nights ago attended a beauty product award ceremony. In March Ah Sheh will first work on a movie with Dayo Wong Tze Wah. Working together again after seven years, she looked forward to it very much. In the film she will play a character in the police department, different from her previous characters. She also revealed that she would occasionally meet with Wong Tze Wah to discuss the script. "Tze Wah and I both participated in the script creation, but he participated more. This film will be light and funny, with little action. I won't have to jump off any building. (Would you have any pressure from making a movie?) Definitely, actually I would have pressure from each and every job. I would do my best and do my homework."
