[2023.11.01] PLAYING A STRICT FATHER GIVES RONALD CHENG A HEARTACHE

Ronald Cheng praises "son' Sean Wong as smart and a good actor
courtesy of mingpao.com

Ronald Cheng Chung Kei and Sean Wong Tsz Lok in TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES (NIN SIU YUT GEI) played father and son. Earlier they promoted the film together. Ronald this time held back his funny nature to play a strict father who even physically punished Tsz Lok. With two children of his own, he admitted that he could not bring himself to hit a child. After the rehearsal on the set, he did not feel well inside. "I have made action films and would accidentally hit people, so I was afraid of hitting him. Before hand I had to check everything, ensured that Tsz Lok had protective padding. I would hit myself with the props to see how much they hurt. Then during the shoot I would know how much force to use. Tsz Lok instead told me to hit hard, which would be more realistic and no bad take. In the end we still shot it twice. I was chasing him to hit, and he was able to coordinate. The result was great."

Ronald has asked director Nick Cheuk Yik Him, Papa in the film was highly educated and a lawyer. How could he treat his own children like this? The director said that the strict father character had bipolar disorder, could not control his own emotions. When he was little he too was abused by his father, with beatings and cigarette burns on his arm. Ronald said, "The story didn't talk about my relationship with my father, but if you watched in detail you would see my arms had scars. That tantrum scene in the bathroom was all because I couldn't control my emotions."

In real life, Ronald could not use physical punishment on his children and has not been strict. He has been the exact opposite of his character in the film. "I wouldn't force them to learn to play the piano or anything. If they are interested they would naturally learn. Children would definitely be mischievous, there is no need for physical punishment. I would explain, each time I have told them to do their homework they would pretend not to hear. They wouldn't move until the 10th time. I would do the same, they would ask me 10 times and I still would say wait. Let them see how it feels. Then they would be obedient."

Changing from his genre, Ronald denied that he wanted to transition. He joked, "Very few people ask me to play a drama role, and I haven't played a father at different eras. Since the director dared to use me, of course I have to make it. However the production made my heart ache, for now I wouldn't let the children watch it so they don't know Papa can be so mean." TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES was a "First Feature Film Initiative" project, so its production budget was limited. Ronald supported new director Cheuk Yik Him and only took the symbolic transportation allowance.

Tsz Lok although took scolding and beating from "Papa", he did not feel rough because his co-star took care of him like a son. Tsz Lok said, "In one scene 'Papa' hit me until I cried and I couldn't leave the character. The director and my Mama said let's call it for the day, but I insisted on continuing the shoot. Because we still had several scenes we haven't shot yet, I didn't want to hinder the production progress. My eyes were swollen from crying. The staff gave me ice, but the director in the end didn't use this scene."

Ronald praised Tsz Lok as smart and a genius. "When I was at Tsz Lok's age I was still a doofus." Tsz Lok with TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES was nominated for this year's Golden Horse Award Best Supporting Actor. Ronald was happy for his "son" and hoped that he would win; Tsz Lok treated the nomination like an award already and did not dare to think about winning. Winning the 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards and the 49th Golden Horse Awards Best Supporting Actor with VULGARIA (DAI JOOK HEI KET), Ronald joked, "Back then I also won after thinking like that."

[2023.11.01] BOWIE LAM SUPPORTS RACHEL LEUNG TO WIN THE GOLDEN HORSE AWARD

Jennifer Yu, Bowie Lam, Rachel Leung attend the IN BROAD DAYLIGHT premiere
courtesy of mingpao.com

The film IN BROAD DAYLIGHT (BAK YUN JI HA) two nights ago held a celebrity screening, producer Derek Yee Tung Sing, director Lawrence Kan Kwan Chun, actors Jennifer Yu Heung Ying, Bowie Lam Bo Yi, Rachel Leung Yung Ting and Leung Chung Hang attended, Peter Chan Charm Man, Henick Chou Hon Ning, Siuyea Lo Chun Yip and his girlfriend Fish Liew Chi Yu, girl group Super Girls, Ng Siu Hin and Ben Yuen Fu Wa also showed their support. Producer Yee Tung Sing said that IN under a wave of difficult conditions was made after contacting the fifth film company, like his film ONE NITE IN MONGKOK (WONG GOK HAK YEH). He knew that the director suffered a lot to raise fund for the film, so all the credit of the film should go to the director because he was able to persist to the end.

Yu Heung Ying also just returned from the Tokyo International Film Festival for IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. During the festival she attended the premiere and audience appreciation event. She joked that lately she has seen Director Kan more than her own daughter. Before going to Japan, she also went to Canada and attended the Montreal International Film Festival. Although so far she still has yet to adjust to the time differences, she was very happy to be able to go overseas for the film. In particular she was able to see the positive audience reaction, on her trip she also had the chance to meet some Chinese directors. This was her gain; she hoped that one day she would be able to make a non Hong Kong movie. "In Canada and Japan I ran many filmmakers who emigrated there. Although we didn't discuss collaboration, as long as there is a good script and a good character I wouldn't mind making a movie anywhere." She has been nominated for the Golden Horse Award Best Actress with the film. "I have begun choosing what to wear, but now is the clothing choosing me. Because earlier I had a cesarean birth, I couldn't exercise or wear anything tight. So I could only eat less. My husband wouldn't come along, he has to stay home to be the wet nurse." She said that she has not been to Taiwan in 6 years, and she looked forward to attending the Golden Horse Awards on the 25th and meeting the audience there.

Lam Bo Yi and Leung Yung Ting have been nominated for the Golden Horse Awards Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress. Would he celebrate? Lam Bo Yi said, "Now I am quite a homebody, at the moment of the announcement I was doing chores at home. Instead friends, colleagues were more nervous than I was." He instead was confident about Leung Yung Ting's chances of winning.

Bo Yi pointed out that in IN he played a "devil" like character. Based on a real story, the director asked him to gain weight to be closer to the original home director character. He also in a short period gained 6 kilograms to 80 kilograms, but during the shoot he added a fake belly to add to the effect.

Leung Yung Ting's performance has received praises. She said that most of the credit should go to Lam Bo Yi, because only due to co-star interaction would the relationship be created. Bo Yi stated that the screenplay only had words, on the set it would depend on them to come up with ideas. For example for how the director lured the intellectually challenged resident into his room, they thought of using a cup of ice cream. Leung Yung Ting had no confidence in winning the award. Bo Yi heard and loudly said, "Yes you do!". Leung Yung Ting then changed her mind and said that she had confidence, and that she still has not prepare what she would wear to attend the Golden Horse Awards.

Angela Yuen Lai Lam, Jay Fung Won Him and Ashley Lam Hoi Ling yesterday attended the event. Earlier the film IT REMAINS (YEUNG WON)'s producer Charlie Wong Wing Fung hinted that Angela Yuen Lai Lam did not coordinate with the film promotion and put her on blast. Yuen Lai Lam admitted, "I think he was talking about me. It's a little misunderstanding."

Yuen Lai Lam continued that at the time someone claimed that she was absent from the promotion because she was playing sports, but she clarified that she was attending a film festival in Taiwan that day and the media also covered it. She said, "My posts are all out of schedule, making people think I went to play. Someone said that I didn't go to the worship (production start ceremony), I didn't join the team until after the production began. It wasn't a very big deal, everything is fine now. Everyone have reposted the story. (The producer said that no matter how famous you would get he would not respect you?) I think it was just the heat of the moment, whether we would work together in the future it would depend on fate. If we would I would do better. I have to take responsibility too, as I really did miss certain important events. The producer and I have story interaction, no one needs to blow up the matter out of proportion." Yuen Lai Lam also mentioned that earlier she went to Taiwan to shoot the Golden Horse Award promotional film. She happily said, "It was very rare to share the frame with some master class figures. With a cup of bubble tea in my hand, I was so moved I really wanted to cry."

[2023.10.31] ROB N ROLL CONFIRMS LUNAR NEW YEAR RELEASE

Aaron Kwok's costume is full of fun, aside from the buck teeth even his ears have special effect make up

Armed robber Aaron Kwok wants Gordon Lam and Richie Jen to say thank you
courtesy of mingpao.com

The 2024 Lunar New Year film ROB N ROLL (LUM SI GIP ONG) starred Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai), Gordon Lam Ka Tung and Maggie Cheung Ho Yee, with Lam Suet, Lo Hoi Pang, Nina Paw (Bau Hei Jing), Michael Wong Man Tak, Paulyn Sun Kai Kwan, Mike Tsang Pei Tat, and special performers John Chiang Dai Wai and Nancy Wu Ting Yan. ROB N ROLL would trigger an intriguing and oddball comedy armed robbery that hired temps as part time robbers. Kwok Fu Sing, Yam Yin Chai and Lam Ka Tung in the film were down on their luck middle aged men, who went from dead broke to running into pennies from Heaven. Head robber Kwok Fu Sing made a big offer to hire part time robbers, committing armed robbery to get rich quick. The film would have brain burning plot, action gun fight scenes, funny and timely lines so viewers would be able to get back the long missed richly entertaining yet sincere Hong Kong Lunar New Year big production.

ROB N ROLL unveiled its first poster, as the head robber Kwok Fu Sing had outstanding buck teeth and ears to match with his special effect make up, a face full of stubbles and all back hairstyle, outdated clothing to break through his past hunky image. A quick glimpse at his appearance anyone would already sense Sing Sing's extraordinary comedic sense. Kwok Fu Sing with mahjong tiles and toy cars on a table explained to the part time robbers he hired, Yam Yin Chai and Lam Ka Tung, on how to pull off the job. Yam Yin Chai in the film played a nursing home social worker who was excessively straight laced, almost cowardly, with simple look of mostly grey hair. Lam Ka Tung in the film played a sly, gutless but greedy waste of a middle aged taxi driver. With the convincing costume, Ka Tung brought this realistic yet snarky character to life. His humorous lines set off the comedy in the film, telling the full story of the difficulties in the lives of the poor today.

In the teaser, a fully armed Kwok Fu Sing performed seriously with his buck teeth look and funny expressions to break through the impression of his past performances. Hired robbers Siu Chai and Ka Tung not only had to win the trust of their leader Sing Sing, but also had to have guts. From the start they already had to know how to shoot a gun and toss hand grenades. Siu Chai toughed it out, threw a hand grenade in a panic, and even had to follow the "professional armed robbery" guide. Thoroughly displaying the character's humor, Sing Sing ordered his employees to be polite even as robbers. Sing Sing said, "I hired you to rob, say thank you!" Although they were only robbers, they still had to kiss up to their robber superior. Two hired robbers more or less had to "sing the praises" of their boss. The trio cooked up an intriguing and oddball robbery.

[2023.10.31] TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES' SEAN WONG GETS VIEWERS FREE HUGS

courtesy of mingpao.com

The film TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES (NIN SIU YUT GEI) would open on November 16th. Rosa Maria Velasco (Wai Law Sa) in the film played Ronald Cheng Chung Kei's wife and mother of two sons (Sean Wong Tsz Lok, Curtis Ho Pak Lim). The mother of two year old daughter Mia in real life, she had an extra motherly love for the two child actors. Rosa said that love did not exist in the family in the film, playing his mother gave her a heartache. She has never scolded or hit a child, but during the shoot she had to do both and thought that she was very cruel.

Wong Tsz Lok and Ho Pak Lim's performance left a deep impression on the audience and they were praised for their acting. Ho Pak Lim's crying scene was a challenge. He said, "Because the role was a cooler child, the opposite of my personality. When I wanted to cry I couldn't cry out loud. I wanted to appear very heartbroken but the expression couldn't be too obvious. For one of the scenes I had to cry as soon as the cameras rolled, which to me was very hard to forget." Recently the team has been attending audience appreciation preview shows. After the show, Wong Tsz Lok saw that the film moved the audience and took the initiative to give "free hugs" to viewers and made them smile.

[2023.10.30] TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES DIRECTOR LACKS CONFIDENCE IN WINNING THE GOLDEN HORSE AWARD

Siuyea Lo and Cheuk Yik Him were in the same City University class year, this time for TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES one acts and the other directs
courtesy of mingpao.com

TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES (NIN SIU YUT GEI) was new director Nick Cheuk Yik Him directed, Siuyea Lo Chun Yip, Ronald Cheng Chung Kei, Rosa Maria Velasco (Wai Law Sa) and child star Sean Wong Tsz Lok starred. It would be released on November 16th and has recently been selected for the 36th Tokyo International Film Festival "World Focus" section. Cheuk Yik Him and Lo Chun Yip earlier went to Tokyo to attend the Creative Hong Kong and the Film Development Fund, Asian Film Awards Academy and the Tokyo Film Festival organized "Asian Cinerama" event.

TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES was about secondary school teacher Cheng Sir (Lo Chun Yip), who in order to find a student who was attempting to commit suicide in his class had to face his violence and regret filled childhood anew. After TIME's screening in Japan, Cheuk Yik Him and Lo Chun Yip had exchanges with the audience and discovered that their reviews of TIME was similar to those of Hong Kong viewers. Director Cheuk said that he did not stay at the cinema to observe responses. "I don't dare to watch my own work. During editing I have already watched it 10,000 times. After the Shanghai premiere in June I haven't watched it again; because the plot tug at the heart too much, I was afraid that I would be too upset for the post screening share." Director Cheuk admitted that he really liked Japan, all of his clothes were Japanese labels. When he arrived he wanted to immediately go to the convenience store for a beef cake. Siuyea has watched many Japanese films since childhood, participated in the Osaka Film Festival and worked on the Japanese film THE MURDERS OF OISO, so he felt Japan was very familiar.

TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES would open in Hong Kong on November 16th. Earlier it was screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival, the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival and received audience praises; at the Golden Horse Awards next month, it would even vie for Best Narrative Feature, New Director, Supporting Actor (Wong Tsz Lok), Original Screenplay (Cheuk Yik Him) and Editing. As his directing debut receiving instant raves, Cheuk Yik Him said that it did not feel real to him. He said that growing up no one has ever praised him. "I can't digest (good reviews) at all, and I have absolutely no confidence in winning the Golden Horse Award. I only look forward to going to Taiwan and have exchanges with filmmakers."

Cheuk Yik Him stated that his parents were very strict. In school the pressure was enormous. "From the beginning of elementary to the end of secondary school I had the feeling of wanting to die"; he only got 8 points from the HKCEE, only until he got into an university to study film was he able to find his own self worth again. Siuyea said that the environment he grew up in was decent, but his school grades were very poor. He only got 10 points from the HKCEE. He had to return to school again to be able to get into the university.

Speaking of more small budget and realistic films among Hong Kong films in recent years and less films of past expertise genres like crime and mob action films, Cheuk Yik Him said that new directors like them had no experience at all to make them. For example TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES focused on story and plot, the execution was not hard. Of course the production budget was also limited. He only hoped that in the future he would have the opportunity to make films of different genres. Currently in his mind he already had over 10 ideas that were waiting to be realized.

[2023.10.30] NICK CHEUNG IS BUSTED OPEN IN THE RING

William Chan has many scenes in the new film with Nick Cheung

courtesy of on.cc

Best Actor Nick Cheung Ka Fai never holds back. He teamed up with William Chan Wai Ting on the Emperor Motion Picture BURSTING POINT (BAU LIT DIM), for which the film company recently released the trailer. In it they had close combat, a busted open Ka Fai even witnessed a hostage being dragged.

The Ka Fai and William starred BURSTING since its production began last year has already became a hot topic. First Ka Fai while on location at Central injured his leg while jumping off an overpass, but still toughed out the shoot. Later the entire team headed to Malaysia for location shoot and ran into a flood. They were trapped in the cavern for 3 hours before being rescued as they landed on international news headline.

The team has given their all to the film, so naturally they looked forward to the harvest. A year after their production wrapped up, the film finally announced that it would be released in the mainland on December 8th. Since Ka Fai guest starred in WARRIORS OF FUTURE (MING YUT JIN GEI) last year, he has not appeared on the big screen for a long time. Thus as soon as the news came out, many viewers have expressed that they were looking forward to the film. Although the film has not confirmed its Hong Kong release date, if all would go well the film would plan for a December release as well.

The film company released its trailer with its share of explosive and bloody scenes. Ka Fai and William both were on a mad dash on the street, and fought in the ring. As William pointed a gun at the back of Ka Fai's neck, their relationship in the film would be complicated. Playing the villain in the film, Shaun Tam Chun Yn held Ken Low Wai Kwong hostage and faced off with a bloodies Ka Fai. Later a hostage was dragged by a car. The Malaysian cavern scene was also unveiled, as the male leads played "mud wrestling" and all fell from above. The several minute video has already shown many bright spots of the film.

Famous action actor Mang Hoi (originally named Mang King Hoi) passed away on the 9th from esophageal cancer at age 65. Yesterday morning the funeral took place, then the remains were transported to the Tai Wai Fu Shan Crematorium for cremation. Mang Hoi once was a member of the Sammo Hung stunt team, founder Hung Kam Bo, former colleague Eric Tsang Chi Wai and Mang Hoi's pallbearers Chin Kar Lok, Mat Yeung Ming, Ken Low Wai Kwong, Chin Yuet Sun, Stephen Tung Wai, Daniel Lee Yan Kong, Chan Chi Leung, Ching Tung and others attended to bid farewell to their friend and see him off on his final journey. Everyone were solemn and had difficulty hiding their sorrow. As the junior when Yeung Ming spoke of this mentor and friend, he could not help but break up. He regretted that he has not visited more.

Yeung Ming talked about his connection to Mang Hoi. He said that he has liked him since he was little; because in comparison to action stars, each with their own presence, his appearance was more friendly and cute. Children would feel that they could get close to him. Among his work he particularly liked the MR. VAMPIRE (GEUNG SI SIN SUN) film series. After he grew up, he never thought that he would be able to run into him at the company, not to mention be fortunate enough to get a photo and become friends. Yeung Ming said, "He really spoiled me, often giving me encouragement and even advice to me on production and action skills. He also paid attention to my new work, at dinner he would sit next to me to converse and study. He was a great elder. He even taught me not to say the lines too fast, to be clear and concise; but he actually spoke very fast. Although we didn't have any chance to work together, I am already very happy that I was able to become his junior colleague and friend."

Speaking of often visiting the ailing Mang Hoi, Yeung Ming could no longer control his tears as he said, "In the middle of last month when I visited him, he was very lively. Although he was thinner he still liked to talk and joked with us, he was a happy and optimistic person. He even pointed out that he as prepared to accept Chinese medical treatment, held an optimistic and positive attitude toward his condition. However the illness finally developed......I regret very much that I didn't visit him a few more times! I believe he is now very happy, in another world running into many old friends."

After the funeral this morning, the remains would be transported to the Fu Shan crematorium for cremation. The service was Buddhist and the hall decorations were simple and clean. Mang Hoi's friends including Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Chin Kar Lok, Chin Siu Ho, Ken Low Wai Kwong, Au Shui Wai, Mat Yeung Ming, and Ching Tung came to pay their respect. Sammo Hung Kam Bo, Jacke Chan, Yuen Biao, Ken Low Wai Kwong, Chiu Wing Hung, Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Chun Chau Chinese Opera School and the Hong Kong Stuntman Association all sent floral arrangements. The pallbearers would be Chin Yuet Sun, Stephen Tung Wai Wai, Daniel Lee Yan Kong, Ken Low Wai Kwong, Chin Kar Lok, Chan Chi Leung, Ching Tung, Mat Yeung Ming.

Chin Kar Lok said that he knew Mang Hoi for over 40 years. He truly watched him grow up. "The most unforgettable was following a group of elder colleagues like Lam Ching Ying, Yuen Biao, Yuen Wah and others, leading me so I wouldn't go down the wrong path. When I transitioned from stuntman to actor, thanks to Mang Hoi's help whenever he has a job he would save me a spot. When he was making a movie in Taiwan he asked me to play the lead." Chin Kar Lok remembered the most when Bruce Lee's son Brandon Lee Kwok Ho starred in the film THE LEGACY OF RAGE, Mang Hoi asked him to take part as well. Although he never had the chance to meet Bruce Lee, he was very honored to have worked with Bruce Lee's son. Kar Lok also said that after learning about Mang Hoi's cancer, the brothers who went through life and death with him often visited him, talked about their past production experience. Mang Hoi also became spirited, always confident that he would be able to recover and keep making action films that he liked.

In addition, Mang Hoi's niece Mang Hei Lui revealed that her aunt's tears have yet to stop. Her cousin has been very independent. She herself missed him too, and gave special thanks to Tsang Chi Wai and Chin Kar Lok for their help. As soon as they knew about Uncle's issue, they immediately put up the money and effort to find doctors and experts to help. While at the hospital they often visited with other brothers. She deeply believed that Mang Hoi in the final stage of life was happy, a group of good friends kept him company and reduced his pain.

MC Cheung Tin Fu, Ling Man Lung, Eric Kot Man Fai, Ashina Kwok Yik Sum, Heidi Lee Ching Yee, Candy Wong Hei Yee and Eelyn Chan Yi Lam yesterday along with director Sunny Lau Yung attended the ONE NIGHT IN SCHOOL (YEH HAU) premiere. The film was MC's first, and he said that he had no box office pressure. "The hardest is the production process, but it has already passed. I feel I have already done all I could so I have no problem. For a comedy, the most important is the audience reaction. It is also the key. I believe everyone after watching would feel the spark between me and Ling Man Lung was decent. I would go to see the audience reaction, whether they would laugh or not."

MC revealed that in one scene Ling Man Lung and his girlfriend argued while he had instant noodles next to them. He had three bowls in a row and could not eat anymore. Lau Yung said, "MC had no experience, the first bowl he took big bites and even said it was delicious. By the third bowl he could no longer take anymore and change to eating strand by strand. He asked me when would he be done?" Would there be more audience appreciation shows later? MC said that he would do all he could to make time and thank the audience for their support. Ling Man Lung said that it would depend on the film company's arrangement. Recent Hong Kong film releases performed average at the box office. Would they be concerned? Ling Man Lung said, "I perform with the effort that I want to give to the audience, it still needs to depend on timing, location and people." MC said that he was not familiar with film and was not too certain, but he has already all he could. He hoped that everyone would support the film more. Would he attend more audience appreciation shows to pump up the box office? He felt that company would make arrangements. As for going live online to promote, it would depend on the situation. Lately he has been working on a film and has been busier. "I rushed over right after work to attend the premiere." He knew that many fans have booked shows and thanked the Fu Second Generation. Speaking of Hong Kong films' planned Taiwan releases, Ling Man Lung also hoped that ONE NIGHT IN SCHOOL would be released in Taiwan and go to even more places, or air on streaming platforms so even more people would get to see the movie and know them.

Kwok Yik Sum was said to look a little different. She explained that perhaps she got thinner due to weight loss. Lately she has been busy with exercising and eating healthy. As for her rumored breakup, was she thinner due to heartbreak? She said, "We haven't broken up, only turned the relationship low key. I hope everyone would pay attention to my work." She pointed out that she and Lee Ching Yee in ONE NIGHT IN SCHOOL had to wear heels and keep running, after which both her toes and heels had scratches and bruises.

Lee Ching Yee reportedly looked like Korean girl group Blackpink's Jisoo. She said, "Who is playing such a big prank, comparing me with a Korean star. I am worried that Jisoo's fans would be upset and attack. I really like Jisoo too, but I don't feel we look alike. She is too perfect." With a romance with MC in ONE NIGHT IN SCHOOL, Wong Hei Yi said that the relationship in the film was very light. She looked forward to the chance of making a sequel. She was not worried that MC's fans would be jealous, because it was just work. Playing a corpse, Kot Man Fai joked that he could vie for Best Actor.

Chow Yun Fat and Tang Wei yesterday were the ribbon cutting guests at a watch and jewelry brand flagship store anniversary. Other guests included Juno Mak Chun Lung, Chung Suet Ying, Cecilia Choi Sze Wan, Renci Yeung Si Wing and Keung To. Tang Wei joked that her husband has "taken her away" with agarwood. She said that if a script would move her she would not mind the character, and she wanted to work with Fat Gor; Fat Gor wanted to drag Dayo Wong Tze Wa and Carol Cheng Yui Ling into making THE MOD SQUAD (JI FU SEUNG HUNG).

When would she have another new film? Tang Wei said that she has been waiting for a script that would touch her heart. If she would run into a script like that, and the director also felt that she would be suitable, she would not have any problem with playing any character. What if the role would be more daring than LUST, CAUTION (SIK GAI)? She went "wow". "The script still comes first, but a good script is hard to find." Who would she like to work with? She said that she would like to work with Fat Gor, and that actors were very passive. She too has been waiting for others to choose her. Speaking of when she would work overseas, her husband would take care of their daughter who is studying in Beijing. She was in a hurry to go back and take care of her daughter's education, but she said that she really missed Hong Kong. She was reluctant to leave because Hong Kong cuisine was very attractive. "In awhile I would like to take a walk by the Central Harborfront. I want to have wonton noodle the most, I am drooling just from thinking about it!"

Host Carol Cheng Yui Ling interviewed Fat Gor. As soon as they saw each other, Fat Gor took a selfie. Then Sister Do asked him what has 50 years in the film industry brought him? Fat Gor said, "Fortune, fame, knowledge, and prospective on life. After playing each character I have lived a lifetime, 50 years equal to 50 lifetimes. After 50 cycles I have experienced a lot." Later Fat Gor joked that yesterday he has already left the credit card to buy jewelry to cheer up Fat Soh. Would he get a matching set? He joked, "No, just hers alone is already a big deal. I am bankrupted, I would get less for family expenses!"

When would he be seen in a movie again? Fat Gor joked, "I can always been seen on the over the set top box, I have read new scripts for now for I haven't had any suitable ones." Fat Gor said that Tang Wei showed him her daughter's photos, and he thought she was very pretty and looked just like Mommy. He also felt that Tang Wei after marriage got prettier and happier. As for whether they would work together, he said that would depend whether her husband would ask him to make a move in Korea. He really would need to have a proper talk with Tang Wei. Would he like to work with former colleague Sister Do? Fat Gor actually has had this idea long ago. "Make two kings and a queen, add Wong Tze Wa, we would see who dies first. With Tze wa we can probably motivate DoDo. We can call it THE MOD SQUAD. I would play Hayes, with an afro and all. It should be very entertaining, but for DoDo to hit me I am afraid she wouldn't have the strength. Now a strong wind could blow her away. If we would shoot it we probably could next year."

Speaking of Fat Gor receiving the 28th Busan International Film Festival Asian Filmmaker Award, he admitted that being in the business for 50 years has been very hard to come by. He was very happy to receive the award and wanted to thank the audience for liking him. How would he celebrate? He joked that he has already gone to Sham Shui Po for Cheung Fun. He was very familiar with the store owner and the patrons, afterward he even took selfies. Fat Gor has always paid attention to Hong Kong film and television industry development. He admitted that he would not mind working with new actors, like TVB has many new actors with potential; only for now he might not be able to say their names yet. He felt their acting has been decent.

Over 200 "Keung Candies" (Keung To fans) were on hand. When Chow Yun Fat and his wife Jasmine Tan appeared the "Keung Candies" screamed out of excitement. After his interview he went to them for a selfie. He joked that everyone was holding up "Keung" light signs but no "Chow" light sign. "Keung Candies" screamed for him too. He joked, "They were paid long ago!" He said that he has never seen Keung To. When he learned that he would be there he joked, "I have to avoid him, his face is even on the tram. I can't get away fast enough! (Maybe Keung To wants to see you?) Seeing him I would feel ashamed!"

Keung To admitted that he was nervous because he wanted to see his idol too much. "My whole family really likes to watch Fat Gor's work. Pa always impersonates him, when he pretends to be Fat Gor getting mad his presence is very close." Speaking of his other idol Show Lo (Law Chi Cheung) not making him his Hong Kong concert guest, he explained that it would clash with MIRROR's concert rehearsal schedule and he admitted it was a little regrettable. The ticket sales for the MIRROR 5th anniversary event has been rumored to be less than ideal, Keung To admitted, "Some things are beyond our control. We would work hard and answer to the fans in attendance. (Are the tickets too expensive?) It's the company's decision." In addition, his "real girlfriend" was rumored to be Taiwan artist Tammy Lin. He said, "I expected rumors. (Is she the type you like?) I am not answer these questions." He also said that he has no girlfriend right now.

Kelly Chen Wai Lam, Myolie Wu Hung Yi, Anson Lo Hon Tong, Tong Kwan Yiu and others two nights ago attended a fashion specialty shop opening; two pretty mamas Kelly and Hung Yi dressed up for the occasion, not only looking pretty and cool but also shared something else in common -- not intention to try to have a daughter. Hung Yi even joked that she might shared her secret to have a son with newlywed Mandy Wong Chi Man, but speaking of having a daughter there is no need to ask her.

Kelly two nights ago appeared at the event without her husband and two sons, but she actually has already prepared Christmas presents for her family. Speaking of her North American concert tour in December, she said that her husband and two sons would tag along and spend Christmas there together. Because the family has not been on a vacation for several years, traveling with the whole family would be the most able to create beautiful memories. Speaking of the policy address announcing a HK$ 20,000 allowance for child birth, would she try for a daughter? Kelly said, "I probably wouldn't be able to, leave the HK$ 20,000 for other people. (Would you take advantage of the property market and buy a home each for your two sons?) This idea is very good, but my investment has been OK. If I invest more it would be too much. I am pleased with the current condition." She was happy was the government financial assistance to the film industry and praised how great it was. She hoped it would help the industry make even more different subject movies and bring impact. In particular some fantastic subjects would require a lot of funding to support them, they would also be able to help young directors' and new comers' developmen3t; she revealed that her new song's music video later would invite a new generation creative singer to collaborate with.

Anson Lo had over 500 Disciples (fan nickname) on hand. Anson Lo recently caught the flu and got a little dizzy after taking medication. Two days ago after finishing his radio interview he returned to the company to rest, ate a little in order to recover his energy. Currently working on the post production for his ViuTV series BUSINESS PROPOSAL, he stated that his film IT REMAINS (YEUNG WON) already accumulating over HK$ 9.5 million at the box office was beyond his expectation. "Early in the production I didn't dare to think about the box office." The film would soon open in Taiwan, he said that it was a good thing. He had no expectation for the box office and thanked the audience for their support. He had plans to make more movies and was in negotiation. "However the schedule hasn't been confirmed because we have a concert and the group 5th anniversary event coming up. I would be rather busy." Speaking of Keung To earlier suddenly admitting that he had a girlfriend on social media, Anson Lo said that as soon as he saw it he knew it was a joke.
