Mainland star Li Bingbing in 2000 with the Mainland film SEVENTEEN YEARS won the Golden Lion prize in Venice. Ten years later, this year she returned to the Venice Film Festival and compete for Best Actress with DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME (DIK YUN KIT ji TUNG TIN DAI GOK), but she did not care much about winning because being able to attend a film festival was already a recognition. She instead would like director Tsui Hark to return with an award because he has put a lot of effort into this film.

Currently promoting in Venice, Bingbing might not know the result yet but as early as 2000 she has already won the Venice Film Festival Golden Lion prize and the 13th Singapore International Film Festival Best Actress award with SEVENTEEN YEARS. Thus whether she wins or not this year it did not matter much to her. Being able to go to Venice was already a recognition. She instead would like Director Tsui Hark to win because he put a lot of effort into the film. Many actors after years in front of the camera would like to work behind the scene. Has Bingbing thought about directing? She honestly said that would depend on destiny. Because the director had a lot to take care of, it would be a very tough job. However she and Jackie Chan recently became the joint executive producer of the new film XINHAI REVOLUTION. She thought this new attempt was good.

Many artists would like to work with Andy Lau Tak Wa but have never been able to. Bingbing after CAT AND MOUSE (LO SHU OI SEUNG MAU) and A WORLD WITHOUT THIEVES (TIN HA MO CAK) worked with him for the third time, which was truly to the envy of many. Bingbing said that working with Wa Jai seven years later, she has grown up but Wa Jai has not changed. He remained very young. Bingbing who has been very supportive of environmental protection promotion earlier created the community brand L.O.V.E, which not only was for charity and environmental protection but also love.
