The screenwriter of the movies COOLIE KILLER, AN AMOROUS WOMAN OF TANG DYNASTY and THE WARLORDS, Chun Tin Nam (originally named Lee Kun Yik) passed away at the age of 76.
Veteran TV producer Gary Yeung Siu Hung confirmed the news of Chun Tin Nam's death, revealing that Chun Tin Nam was his secondary school teacher. Yeung Siu Hung posted a message of condolences on social platforms. "He was a newspaper editor, he was a column novel author, he was a film screenwriter, he was also one of my most respected secondary school teachers: Mr. Lee Kun Yik, pen name Chun Tin Nam! Teacher, I will always remember your teachings. Have a safe journey!"
According to information, after graduating from the Baptist University, Chun Tin Nam once studied in Paris. After returning to Hong Kong he worked as a secondary school teacher for several years before becoming a film screenwriter. His works included the 1982 Charlie Chin Hsiang-Lin and Elliot Yueh Hua (Ngok Wah) starred COOLIE KILLER (SAT CHOOK SAI YING POON), AN AMOUROUS WOMAN OF TANG DYNASTY (TONG CHIU HO FONG NUI), as well as participating in the screenplays of THE SHINJUKU INCIDENT (SUN SHOOK SI GEIN), 2 YOUNG (JO SHOOK), SEVEN SWORDS and THE WARLORDS (TAU MING JONG).
