The Hong Kong Film Awards Association yesterday announced the recipients of the "Lifetime Achievement Award" and "Professional Spirit Award", the highest honor of the "43rd Hong Kong Film Awards". The "Lifetime Achievement Award" recipients would be the legendary director Tsui Hark and the well-known film producer Shi Nansun. The "Professional Spirit Award" recipients would be veteran voice actors Jiang Xiaoliang and Han Dongqing, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Hong Kong film industry over the years, and their efforts and achievements that inspire fellow filmmakers.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Awards Association Derek Yee Tung Sing congratulated Tsui Hark, Shi Nansun, Jiang Xiaoliang and Han Dongqing. Yee Tung Sing praised Tsui Hark's unremitting efforts, pursuit of excellence, and courage to break through in film creation, creating countless classic works; with his international vision and excellent marketing capabilities, Shi Nansun has spared no effort to promote Hong Kong-made films to the international film industry over the years. At the same time, Yee Tung Sing praised Jiang Xiaoliang and Han Dongqing for their decades of dedication to the Mandarin dubbing work of Hong Kong films, allowing Chinese people around the world to watch Hong Kong films through their wonderful dubbing performances, and they are the behind-the-scenes contributors to promoting Hong Kong films to the Chinese and foreign markets.
