The Heavenly King Aaron Kwok Fu Sing and Francis Ng Chun Yu starred new film would open soon. With strong completion in the mainland, the promotion of course had to have an extra "push". Recently the film company has released a lot of filming footage, Sing Sing and Chun Yu have personally performed in many dangerous scenes. The two have always fought hard to play their roles well, and their professionalism has been commendable.
The 3 Best Actors Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Francis Ng Chun Yu, Simon Yam Tat Wa starred Emperor Motion Picture UNDER CURRENT (NOI MOK) would open in the mainland and Hong Kong on the 6th of this month. As the year neared its end, the mainland market has become rather cheerful and the competition fierce. Released on the same day as UNDER was the top mainland star Sean Xiao Zhan starred GEZHI TOWN, the advanced box office sale has already exceeded 50 million RMB. In addition, at the end of December would come the Huang Xiaoming and Ning Chang starred THE FIRE RAVEN and yet to be officially announced BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI) starring Louis Koo Tin Lok and Raymond Lam Fung. Even the Stephen Chow Sing Chi classic DUKE OF MOUNT DEER's 4K restored version has been officially scheduled to debut on the mainland big screen on December 5th in a return after 33 years. Fans are ready to flock to the theater to relive their memories.
In the face of fierce rivals, of course the promotion of UNDER could not be lax. A lot of filming footage have been released recently, among which Sing Sing and Chun Yu have life risking performance. One of the scenes Sing Sing was strangled and pulled up on metal chains, his face was distorted and looked rather distressed. The danger of the action was also very high. Many of the staff at the scene advised him not to go into perform the stunt himself, but he immediately declined and insisted on doing it. Even his co-star Chun Yu was worried with a solemn face, but because he understood that being the actor was to use actions to achieve the role; so he only stood aside and silently watched Sing Sing's performance. When Sing Sing finally completed the performance after all the difficulties, Chun Yu breathed a sigh of relief and everyone finally was able to smile.
In addition to Sing Sing, Chun Yu actually had a lot of thrilling performances; one of which is hanging on wires 13 stories above. His whole person was outside the building. Before filming Chun Yu and the team were waving their arms and legs while studying the movements and working hard on the deployment. During the official shoot, because he was 13 stories above his body inevitably trembled a little. However Chun Yu insisted on shooting until the end. When the filming was completed, he was pale and his fright could not calm down immediately. He truly was risking his life!
Sing Sing and Chun Yu worked together again after 25 years after the movie "2000 AD" and the two were very happy. Sing Sing also said, "During the filming of the movie everyone also experienced a lot of difficult moments of continuous action; especially working with Chun Yu after 25 years again, the chemistry of that interaction still exists and everyone enjoyed filming."
Although the movie UNDER was a major male driven film and the actresses did not have much screen time. Earlier when participants in the film, Niki Chow Lai Kei, Gladys Li Ching Kwan and Kathy Yuen (Tong Yee) were interviewed, they admitted that they did not mind how much screen time they had. In the film they played a lawyer, a volunteer and a reporter respectively, and the three roles had their own functions. They were in no way like flower vases. Chow Lai Kei said, "In recent years few women subject films have been made. I understand that a movie is a little over a hour, with so many people how would you fight for the time? The number of scenes are not important, the most important thing is to take advantage of them. Sometimes the audience would remember one or two scenes. Getting a good role in hand is up to fate. With a chance in your hands, playing it well is also very important." Before the shoot she caught up on professional lingo with lawyer friends, so the performance would be more nature. The last time she collaborated with Kwok Fu Sing was when he invited her and Julian Cheung Chi Lam to shoot a music special. Years later, she admitted that Sing Sing felt a little different, much more mature. Everyone very quickly got into the production, which went very smoothly.
Tong Yee said that this was the second time she has collaborated with Sing Sing, and she remembered that the first was on "COLD WAR 2". At the time she was worried that she would say the wrong thing. This time she and Sing Sing had more to talk about, because they both had daughters. She also pointed out that Yam Tat Wah was usually humorous. When they went to the Peak to shoot a running scene, he even revealed himself to have a property at the Peak. She said, "He told me that this house was his, and I said that was amazing. He really has property in every district." Li Ching Kwan bluntly said that she was really nervous about acting in front of the Best Actors, and she had to be aggressive in the film; so she could not help but be timid. Who was she the most scared of? She thought for a moment and said, "That's so hard to answer...... I was the most afraid of Ng Chun Yu. He would leave after filming, and I was afraid that I did not do well." She explained that she was familiar with Yam Tat Wah and Alex Fong Chung Shun because they were in the same company, but it was her first time working with Ng Chun Yu; so she was inevitably nervous.
