The Nick Cheung Ka Fai and Chung Suet Ying starred new film GOOD TRIP (NGOR AH DEH SEUNG LUI HUNG) will open next month. Director Norris Wong Yi Lam and Wong Hoi two nights ago appeared at the press screening to share their production experience. Wong Yi Lam said that the script came from the passing of her own Papa, but back then she has yet to think of from what angle. No matter how much she wrote she was not pleased, so she once dropped it to write THE LYRICIST WANNABE (TIN CHI L) first. "My directing debut MY PRINCE EDWARD (GUM DOH) couldn't be made in time for Papa to watch. In the second, THE LYRICIST WANNABE, (Eric) Kot Man Fai's character had shades of Papa. As long as I continue to create and make movies, I can put valuable memories into them."
Wong Hoi spoke about many Hong Kong film memories in the film. He wanted to take this opportunity to make subjects that this generation of filmmaker would not have a chance to make. "The costume scene was very funny. Because (Stanley) Yau Sze Chun and Chung Suet Ying have never worn costumes before, they were very excited. Yet Cheung Ka Fai and (Yoyo) Mung Ka Wai said costumes again, we would die from the heat." Wong Yi Lam said that Mung Ka Wai ws very sharp, bringing a folding chair and tea to wait for her turn. Wong Hoi revealed that Cheung Ka Fai came up with his look in the film himself. "The first time when we talked about the script, he already said that he wanted to create a 'Mediterranean Sea' (bald spot) look. He would first shave his head then put on a wig. Actually he was very happy once it was finished, but he always thought that he and Chung Suet Ying would play couple. He didn't expect that they would play father and daughter." Wong Yi Lam said that she was timid about working with Cheung Ka Fai because he was a great elder. "I was afraid that he would be very opinionated, but I realized that he was very friendly. He even said that he was a director too, and knew what kind of actor was the most troublesome and despised. They wouldn't listen to the director's opinion, so he wouldn't do this."
