Having brought life to countless "villain" characters, veteran artist William Ho Ka Kui earlier passed away in Hong Kong at the age of 66. His long time friend Charlie Cho Cha Lei is handling his affairs. Because Cho Cha Lei was not a blood relative of Ho Ka Kui, he ran into a lot of inconveniences while taking care of business for his late friend. Cho Cha Lei once heard Ho Ka Kui mentioned that Ka Kui and his sister had some unpleasantness over their other's assets and had little contact in recent years. Yet Cho Cha Lei still hoped to be able to contact her for help. Yesterday Ho Ka Kui's sister finally contacted Cho Cha Lei and will meet with him to discuss Ho Ka Kui's final arrangements. Cho Cha Lei said, "His sister has contacted me. Because I am not in Hong Kong right now, when I get back I will meet with her to discuss how to handle Ho Ka Kui's affairs."

When Cho Cha Lei was packing up Ho Ka Kui's Dongguan home, he discovered that Ho Ka Kui only had a little over 100 yuan in his saving account passbook. The matter has caught the attention of many in the industry. The investor of Ho Ka Kui's final film IMPRISONED: SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR RICH AND PRODIGAL (YUT YUK YUT SAI GAI) Stephen Shiu Jr. and Ho Ka Kui's friend and veteran filmmaker Cheung Kwok Chung yesterday both said that they will contact Cho Cha Lei and try to help as much as possible if needed. Cho Cha Lei also admitted that after Ho Ka Kui's passing, Ho Ka Kui's Mainland friends said that they wanted to send him some money for Ho Ka Kui's funeral. Cho Cha Lei for now have turned down all of them. He said, "If they send me the money it's a lot of responsibility, I want to meet with Ho Ka Kui's sister first before deciding on what to do with the funeral."

Cheung Kwok Chung yesterday expressed pain and sorrow over the passing of his friend. He recalled the days when he, Ho Ka Kui and Chow Yun Fat labored together, which added to his lament.

Cheung Kwok Chung said, "Back then our company took a North American concert, we didn't have anything as convenient as a mobile phone. The three of us brought clothing and underwear to camp out at the company. Early in the morning we contacted the North American colleague. We spent three or four days a week at the company. When I was a film producer, Si Hing (Ho Ka Kui) taught me a lot. I remember when I produced the film COPS AND ROBBERS (DIM JI BING BING), I was getting chew out. As soon as Si Hing got there, he took care of everything in 15 minutes. He really was sharp."

Alien Huang feels a connection to Hong Kong, so money is not important when he makes a Hong Kong film

Taiwan artist Alien Huang (Wong Hung Sing/Siu Gwai), Lam Suet and new comer Vanessa Tuan Lung Chun yesterday attended the new film LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE (1 NGUK 2 HEI, tentative title)'s production start worship ceremony. Earlier Lam Suet was rumored to be on the lam in the Mainland after owing a large sum and thus did not appear in public; yesterday he was naturally asked the debt question.

Lam Suet at first appeared relaxed, but when mentioned about the debt he could not help but curse. He stated that it was made up and did not need to mind such matter. He said, "X! Don't X pay it any mind! I get mad just talking about it again. It's written about once a year for three years, aren't you tired of it?" Was someone playing a prank on him? He said that the matter instead made him more famous. Lam Suset said, "Don't help me, what are you helping me for? From the beginning to the end I rely on myself." He said that in the past year he has been working in the Mainland and the workload has been decent.

Speaking of William Ho Ka Kui's passing, Lam Suet said that earlier they just worked together on the film IMPRISONED: SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR RICH AND PRODIGAL (YUT YUK YUT SAI GAI: GO DUNG WOOT SIU MAU GAM YUT GEI). He had quite a heartache because there was one less "villain". He also felt that life was like drama, it would be the best to be nice and simple.

In addition, Show Luo and Jay Chou's fans recently erupted into a war of words. A friend of Piggy, Siu Gwai believed it was a misunderstanding. He said that nothing was between the two of them, they were both his friends and he did not know what to say.

Siu Gwai in the film played a couple with new comer Tuan Lung Chun and had intimate scenes. Was working with so many new actors difficult for Siu Gwai? He said, "I feel everyone can perform very well. We are learning together and making a movie. If we aren't nervous we can give a great performance. The most important for new comers is to relax, not to make yourself too tense!"

Working on his first Hong Kong film, Siu Gwai stressed that it had nothing to do with salary as money was not important. He took this film because he felt he had quite a connection with Hong Kong. He said, "Hong Kong to me is a huge turning point. Hong Kong fans have given me a lot of encouragement, its media also took great care of me. From Hong Kong I got a lot of confidence! The first film in Hong Kong to me is very important, the director is also a good friend of mine. I said to him that whatever he would ask me to make, I would toil away with him."

[2015.01.30] JEANA HO AND DOMINIC HO SHARE A WET KITCHEN MAKE OUT SESSION

courtesy of on.cc

The Dominic Ho Ho Man, Jeana Ho Pui Yu, Candy Yuen Ka Man starred film THE GIGOLO (NGAP WONG) yesterday opened in Hong Kong and made over HK$ 500,000, which was rather ideal for a non holiday as it became yesterday's top Hong Kong film.

Dominic and Jeana earlier at the premiere kissed three time in front of the public and stole the spotlight. In the film they played a couple, their wet kitchen kiss scene was rather passionate and stimulating!

Dominic said that the passionate performance in front of the camera actually was painful beyond words. "For this scene we worked for two full hours. I only wore a tank top, being all wet I was very cold. Even when we got a shot we had to dry up and get wet all over again, it really was hard to take!" However he joked that Jeana was a "pretty good kisser" and they both were focused in character. "We have been with the same management company for years, but we haven't communicated much so we were too close. With this film we finally truly communicated, on the first day we even had to work on an emotional scene. The feeling was rather interesting. (Would you become a real couple?) I don't know, no one knows what will happen in the future. Let it happen naturally."

Was Dominic as great kisser? Jeana said, "You have to ask him about that, the toughest part about the scene was being wet and the shoot took a long time. (You pressed you chest into him, it was rather passionate.) I wasn't taking the initiative, he held me tight with his Kirin arms. For these kinds of scenes you have to be into int, should we have been miles apart instead?"

[2015.01.29] WORK KEEPS ALIEN HUANG BUSY IN HONG KONG

Alien Huang has loved film since he was little and hopes to be able to become an actor
courtesy of mingpao.com

Alien Huang (Wong Hung Sing) yesterday promoted his current film production YUT OAK LEUNG HEI (ONE HOME TWO CHEATS). He said that this time he came to Hong Kong for two days of location shoot, after which he had to rush back to Taiwan to continue work. He did not have time to look around or meet fans. He could only wait until the film promotion and other performance to come to Hong Kong again. He revealed that in the film he played a public relations manager who was careful with his thoughts and full of passionate for work, a little like his real self. This film was Siu Gwai's first Hong Kong film. He said that he has loved film since he was little and hoped to be able to be a film actor. "Hong Kong film and not Hollywood film gave me the greatest inspiration, because when I was little I didn't understand Hollywood films. However at that time Taiwan television would play Hong Kong films, I grew up watching Hong Kong films."

Among the Hong Kong film stars, he said that his favorite in comedy was Stephen Chow Sing Chi. His KING OF COMEDY (HEI KET JI WONG) was his favorite; the character actor he admired the most was Chow Yun Fat. Siu Gwai said, "His AN AUTUMN'S TALE (CHAU TIN DIK TUNG WA) and other romantic films, Cheng Yi Kin's YOUNG AND DANGEROUS (GOO WAT JAI) they all feel very cool." He also praised Chow Yun Fat and Tony Leung Ka Fai for being friendly, which was worth younger generations to learn from.

Sandra Ng Kwan Yu yesterday led her new film 12 GOLDEN DUCKS (12 GUM NGAP)'s actors Wilfred Lau Ho Lung, Philip Keung Ho Man and BabyJohn Choi Hong Yik to the taping of Johnson Lee Si Jit's new program in TVB City. Other guests included Alex To Tak Wai, Edwin Siu Jing Nam and Pal Sinn Lap Man.

Since hosting CLUB SPARKLE, Kwan Yu has not been to TVB City for four or five years. Keung Ho Man stepped into TVB for the first time in his 28 year career. Will she work on another TVB program? Kwan Yu admitted that Yu Wing Shan occasionally would talk with her but for now she did not want to. A talk show was not simple to do, she had to find guests on her own and come up with conversation topics. It would be very tiring. Will she focus on film? She said, "No, but one a year like this is pretty good. I can give my all." In the future she will promote the film with the new film's actors. Will she bring her fake muscles to help with the promotion? She said, "No, because they are very expensive! They cost several hundred thousand every time, and they took 7 hours every time. Once I rushed the special effect artists so much that their hands were shaking. " She also said that when she put on the fake chest for the shoot, many forgot that she was a woman. When they put them on her chest they would pat them down, and she had to remind them that she was a woman and had feelings too. She also hoped that this time the film would make money, then she could take everyone on a holiday.

Lau Ho Lung (Si Hing)'s girlfriend Joey Yung Cho Yi earlier was a guest at Miriam Yeung Chin Wa's concert, where Chin Wa revealed that they will soon wed. Si Hing yesterday reiterated that they truly had no wedding plan. Currently work still comes first. As for whether they broke the ice between them, he said, "Of course not! Guys talk with guys, girls talk with girls, they took care of it themselves. I am Ho Lung, not middle man. (Has your girlfriend hinted that she wanted to wed?) She really hasn't, we talk about everything, just not that." Siu Jing Nam's girlfriend Priscilla Wong Chui Yui and Natalie Tong Sze Wing are friends. Speaking of Tony Hung Wing Sing admitting that he and Sze Wing were in development, he said that if it was true he of course would be happy for them. He learned from his girlfriend that Hung Wing Sing is a sunny type of guy, very nice and takes great care of his family. He even said, "If it's true I would wish them well, and I can relax because people online are always saying how much more compatible Chui Yu is with Hung Wing Sing. (Are you jealous?) No, no, if you feel I am then I am!" He also said that he would not gossip about other people's romance. Did he not want to hear the name Hung Wing Hung and get upset? He said, "No, very seriously they (Hung Wing Sing and Chui Yu) are like brothers, just like (Raymond) Cho Wing Lim and I are like brothers."

Taiwan otaku goddess Fried Chicken Girl (Ili Cheng Chia-Chen), Kelvin Kwan Chor Yiu, 6 Wing, Barbie Liu (Ha Wai Yu) and director Wilson Chin Kwok Wai yesterday attended their new film ONE NIGHT IN TAIPEI (TOI BUT YEH PO TUEN TUEN JUEN) in Kowloon Bay. A fan rushed into the venue to get a photo with Fried Chicken Girl, although he left at the urging of security her jaws dropped already from being so scared. She admitted that she had a kiss scene with 6 Wing. "This is basic!" In the trailer 6 Wing kissed her chest.

Barbie said that in the film she used every trick she had and said that she and Kwan Chor Yiu had intimate scenes. "I really want several more bad takes! (Then do it right away!) I don't dare, after getting into character you have to have actor ethics. I personally really wanted bad take, bad take, bad take and more bad take!"

Kwan Chor Yiu said that working at Taipei night spots was like entertainment, has he been embarrassed from getting drunk? He said, "When I had too much to drink I would walk people home!" Soon to wed his girlfriend Calinda Chan Yuen Wai, Chin Kwok Wai said that he wanted to skip a wedding ceremony. He was not afraid of his girlfriend acting up. "Maybe there would be no groomsmen then." Chan Yuen Wai showed off the diamond ring that her boyfriend gave her.

One night by the seaside, tiny creatures or "Parasytes" arrive on Earth to take over human bodies and prey on human kind. One Parasyte latches on to a regular high schooler, Shinichi but he prevents it from completely taking over his mind and body and instead it has to start a reluctant existence in his right arm. Shinichi cannot reveal his terrible secret to those around him, and during this time of stalemate, a feeling almost of friendship develops between him and the creature he calls "Migi" ("Righty"). Before long, they begin to encounter other Parasytes which launch savage attacks against them and put the life of his childhood friend, Satomi in danger...

Then things take a sudden turn for the worse. Shinichi's beloved mother is killed and taken over by a Parasyte. When the creature launches an attack on him, he has no choice but to kill her. It becomes all-out war. Parasytes kill humans and humans kill Parasytes in return. But nothing is black and white in this struggle. Among the Parasytes themselves, various factions and different points of view, develop. Shinichi's new teacher, Ryoko Tamiya, although infected with a Parasyte, tolerates Shinichi. On the other hand, the character Goto, a composite "person" made up of a number of cooperating Parasytes is bent on human destruction. Collectively the Parasytes begin to ask themselves the question, "Why were we created?"

In a world that humanity has continued to despoil and destroy, is it that the Parasytes are here to cull our numbers? Of course the humans continue to kill Parasytes in order to survive.

Which is it that ought to win? The planet needs to be preserved yet it is in our nature to protect our loved ones. Amidst this conflict of values, Shinichi and Migi have no choice but to hurl themselves into the fight against the ever more complex attack of the Parasytes.
