The Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed, Leon Lai Ming and Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) starred FIRE OF CONSCIENCE (FOR LUNG) will be in competition at the Udine Film Festival.
Currently working in Hengdian, Siu Chai received many congratulations. At first he was so tired that he thought that he and Lai Ming both won the Udine Best Actor awards. Later he realized that they was for the FIRE OF CONSCIENCE competition qualification, which automatically qualified him and Lai Ming to compete for Best Actor.
Siu Chai was happy about being able to compete for the honor but felt that the biggest credit should go to the director Lam Chiu Yin for making such a good film. Instead he would like Lam Chiu Yin to win a major award overseas. Lai Ming was happy that everyone liked this film.
Lam Chiu Yin expressed that the Udine Film Festival personnel came to see this film long ago and liked it very much. They pointed out that there has not been a Hong Kong film that was so full of Hong Kong specialties in such a long time. The most memorable was the Fire Dragon Dance scene. He was the happiest about Siu Chai and Lai Ming's transformations have been recognized. He would like to be able to attend with both Siu Chai and Lai Ming.
