Taiwan director Wei Te-Sheng yesterday attended his new film SEEDIQ BALE cultural seminar in Hong Kong and said that he was more and more confident that the new film will be able to make back its NT$700 million production cost. The film will be released in Hong Kong in September and October. Some of the bloodier scenes had to be edited for the Mainland version. Although the film will compete at the Venice Film Festival, he said that he already felt honored to be able to share the stage with various masters. He was not confident about winning an award.
