[2023.11.18] MICHELLE WAI REFUSES TO SACRIFICE FOR LOVE

In real life Michelle Wai and Carlos Chan have very different views on marriage from their characters'

The Emperor Motion Picture READY O/R ROT (BUT YUT SING FUN 2) would open on November 30th. After two years, director Anselm Chan Mu Sing led the original team of Carlos Chan Ka Lok, Michelle Wai Sze Nga, Chu Pak Hong, Hedwig Tam Sin Yin, Kaki Sham, Renci Yeung Sze Wing and Rachel Leung Yung in the return; and even invited the 4 time Hong Kong Film Awards Best Supporting Actress Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling) to join the cast.

In the film, the actors also considered the drastic differences on marriage between their characters and themselves. Just wed this year, Chan Ka Lok admitted that he would pursue stability. "Ah Kai (his character in the film) and I are very different. Ah Kai doesn't really know what he wants, hasn't thought of how to evolve his relationship with his girlfriend. I myself would hope to wed earlier, to be more stable, give more confidence to myself and those around me." Silently contributing in the film, Wai Sze Nga humbly said that her character's nonstop sacrifices would be difficult for her to imagine. "Ho Yi is the giving type, in reality I am not so noble. I may not be able to really do that."

Loving to question each other in the film, Chu Pak Hong and Tam Sin Yin however agreed that their real life ideas are very different. Chu Pak Hong joked, "I am very different from Grizzly, this time the character has already transformed into a family man. I don't dare to say whether I have been able to or not. Instead when the suspicion would focus on this, the value of self existence would start to decline. In this area we would be a little alike." Tam Sin Yin revealed that she would not desire too much control in her relationship. "Jenny is the control type, trying everything in order to control this marriage. I believe if I would get married, I might not want to handle so much."

with a intricate relationship in the film, Kaki Sham, Yeung Sze Wing and Leung Yung Ting had even more drastically different fantasies about marriage. Kaki has longed to wed long ago. "Ah Kin never thought about becoming Papa, starting a family, but I myself have longed to very much." Marriage to Yeung Sze wing and Leung Yung Ting is still too soon to discuss.
