[2023.10.09] JOHN WOO SAYS A FILM REUNION WITH CHOW YUN FAT WOULD BE DIFFICULT

John Woo (Ng Yu Sum) recently spoke to the American media and about his final Hong Kong film before heading to Hollywood, HARD BOILED (LAT SAU SUN TAM), as well as the star of the film Chow Yun Fat. They have worked together on two A BETTER TOMORROW (YING HUNG BOON SIK) films, THE KILLER (DIP HUET SEUNG HUNG), ONCE A THIEF (JUNG WAN SEI HOI) and HARD BOILED. Would they work together again? Ng Yu Sum said, "It would be very difficult; the hardest is being unable to find the right script, and we both are getting old." He revealed that the last time they worked together, HARD was originally a story about a baby serial killer and Tony Leung Chiu Wai would have played that killer. In the end he was changed to play an undercover cop instead.
