Ronald Cheng Chung Kei two nights ago on the Lantern
Festival attended his film CONCERTO OF THE BULLY (DAI LOK SI WAI OI PUI
LOK)'s audience appreciation. He interacted with the audience as he
invited two female viewers to sing the film theme song with him. He
also fed female viewers tangyuen per the Lantern Festival tradition.
Later when Cheng Chung Kei posed for a group photo with the audience,
everyone cheered for him to win the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor.
He said that he had to thank the viewers while he had the time, because
next week he will head to Thailand to work on the film IN TURMOIL (GAU
SHOOK) for a month. The film was already half shot and waited for over a
year before resuming he production. Because he had to play a shipyard
worker in the second half of the movie, he needed time to gain 20 pounds
to look the part. "However a friend said that the workers he saw at the
shipyard weren't too big. They even sat there and cracked peanuts, so I
would carry a bag of peanuts."
Cheng Chung Kei went to the hospital before the movie because his
three year old was injured while playing with their puppy and had to be
rushed to the emergency room. He said, "At the time I wasn't home, my
wife had to take our daughter to the tutor. When I heard about the
accident, my wife already was rushing back to check up on our son. Our
maid called me to say that my son was playing the puppy. It didn't bite
him because it was mad, my son just had too much fun with it and was
scratched near the corner of his right eye. When I got home I immediately
treated my son's wound then rushed him to the hospital. Now he is already
fine, but he will have to see the doctor again on Sunday." Cheng Chung
Kei said that his son was fine, only had his right eye bandaged. When he
got home he even told the puppy, "I am not hurt, we can keep playing!"
However his wife of course wanted to play it safe and would keep the
puppy from their son for awhile.

The Lunar New Year film AGENT MR. CHAN (DUNG DUK DUT GUNG)
passed the HK$ 40 million mark. Two nights ago a celebration was held on
the Lantern Festival. Dayo Wong Tze Wah, Charmaine Sheh Sze Man, Larine
Tang Yueping, Cheung Tat Ming and Lam Suet attended and celebrated with
tangyuan. Wong Tze Wah made up for his past failures as he happily
said, "Earlier I didn't dare to predict, I only thought that after HK$ 10
million I am no longer poisonous. With HK$ 20 million I am completely
off it!"
Now with HK$ 40 million at the box office, Tze Wah admitted that
he felt like he got a ticket and was confident to make movies again. Did
he make up for his past failures? Tze Wah stated that he did not feel
FIGHTING TO SURVIVE (YUT MUN GAI BO BIU) was nothing shameful. Some said
that AGENT will be edited for a Mainland release. Tze Wah said that he
did not ask his boss and was uncertain if the boss would make a sequel.
Everyday he was busy like he was at a taxi dispatch center, as he kept
updating he latest box office rend everyday in group chat. Ah Sheh
happily said that she has never thought the box office number would be so
high. This time was also the highest grossing film of hers in Hong Kong.
Tze Wah said, "If we make a sequel, we definitely will save a spot for
Ah Sheh. She can't miss out!"
After the film's success he immediately launched 17 show stand up
comedy Hong Kong Coliseum concert series in July. Tze Wah clarified that
the concerts were already conceived a year ago and the Hong Kong Coliseum
took a year to book. Stand up comedy was another type of stage play and
had another market. Did he already owe tickets to many? Tze Wah said
that he did not dare to ask his manager. Ah Sheh also told Tze Wah that
a friend who has been out of touch for 20 years texted her to ask for 60
tickets. Tze Wah said, "Now ordering two digit tickets is no longer an
exaggeration, everyone wants 3 digits. However in 2014 we held 11 shows,
this time with 17 shows there will be a lot of tickets." He also said
that this time would be limited to Hong Kong. Mainly the content would
be about life in Hong Kong. He was afraid that talking about Hong Kong
overseas would be very dull. As for more shows, he said that it would
depend on the reaction and he could add a few more.
As for rumors that Tze Wah wanted to get married and start a
family, he said, "Thank you everyone for your concern. Only time would
tell! That wouldn't be good news. I wish the most for good
health for Mama. Earlier when Mama was ill and I took her to the
emergency room people caught the whole thing!"
Tang Yueping was very happy about her film's HK$ 40 million take,
which was also the highest box office for her films. She was even
happier about being able to see her idol Tze Wah again. Would she take
the chance to ask Tze Wah for tickets? She said that she would not use
business tool for personal use. If she could not get them she would
watch the previous shows online or ask for a concert work pass. Tang
Yueping praised her idol "Tze Wah God" was well learned, asking him about
something serious on the script of nonsensical questions he would know
the answers.

Emperor Motion Pictures' OPERATION RED SEA two nights ago
held a screening at Causeway Bay. Director Dante Lam Chiu Yin and stars
Jiang Luxia, Du Jiang, Wang Yutian and Henry Mak attended.
Playing the "communication soldier" in the film, Emperor new
comer Henry Mak left the deepest impression with the audience. He
turned a childlike pretty boy into a masculine sailor and played an
unique heroic image. Two nights ago Du Jiang humbly said that his
Cantonese was not so fluent, Dante Lam Chiu Yin and Henry Lam immediately
lent a hand. Actually Henry Mak's grandfather was from Hong Kong, so he
knew Cantonese since he was little. When he returned to Hong Kong he
felt very familiar. He tried to answer in Cantonese in promotions and
interviews. That night Lam Chiu Yin taught Du Jiang to introduce himself
in Cantonese, Henry Mak hilariously taught him to say Du Jiang as "soy
milk", which cracked up the entire audience.
Jiang Luxia revealed that the production caused endocrine
dyscrasia, which she had Chinese medicine for half a treatment. She has
not had a period in ten months. WHERE ARE YOU GOING DAD 5's Du Jiang
was asked if he contacted his reality show friend Jordan Chan Siu Chun
and his son Jasper? He said, "I have been busy with the promotion, in
addition Chan Siu Chun might be on vacation. Before the Lunar New Year
we talked over video chat."
OPERATION RED SEA opened in the Mainland on the Lunar New Year's
Day and remained on top into the month of March. So far its box office
was already over 2.5 billion yuan.
Justin Cheung would not avoid giving opportunities to girlfriend Kelly Chen

Justin Cheung Kin Sing, Jeana Ho Pui Yu, Linah Matsuoka,
Kelly Chen Ka Lei, Hugo Goh (Ng Toi Yung) and Fama yesterday attended
the film JOK GA DIK FONG YIN (LIE OF THE WRITER) production start
ceremony. Producer and star Cheung Kin Sing said that after reading the
script two years ago he found it unforgettable and thus went to finance
the project. He was grateful that the production finally came to
fruition. As a first time producer he had to take care of everything
great and small. He also had to rehearse. He has been so stressed that
his hair started to fall out. He said, "I hope my hair can last until
age 40." His girlfriend Kelly said that she would not mind him being
bald.
Cheung Kin Sing said that he has made many category III films
since he started. The audience felt that he was very lucky but actually
there was a lot to keep in mind on the set. They were not enjoyable at
all. Kelly did not mind her boyfriend working with actresses on
intimate scenes and would not supervise on the set, which she thought
would only add to his stress. In the film she played a cop with a crush
on writer Cheung Kin Sing. She joked that in real life it was the same.
Was Cheung Kin Sing propping up his girlfriend? He felt that new comers
should have even more opportunities. His film in the middle of the year
would also have a part for Kelly.
Jeana and Linah Matsuoka in the film played Cheung Kin Sing's
wife and mistress. Linah Matsuoka revealed that she and Cheung Kin Sing
would have bed and kiss scenes that would be rather sexy. She would not
mind sexy performance because the film was a mystery and not selling sex.
Would Jeana have similar sexy performance? She said that her figure was
no match for Matsuoka's so she would not need to. She also would not
have any intimate scene with Cheung Kin Sing as she would only
psychologically torture him. She revealed that after half a year of
breakup with director Philip Yung Tsz Kwong she was already used to the
single life. She also adopted a puppy to keep her company; she also said
that she had no suitor but joked that she might suddenly have a baby.
Jennifer Yu Heung Yi, Hedwig Tam Sin Yin and eight new
directors who participated in the First Feature Film Initiative yesterday
attended the the First Feature Film Initiative annual gathering and the
4th award presentation. The even announced winning films including the
Higher Education Institution Group's MY PRINCE EDWARD (GUM DOH) directed
by Norris Wong Yi Lam, HAND-ROLLED CIGARETTE (SAU GUEN YN) by director
Chan Kin-long and the Professional Group ELISA'S DAY (CHONG HOI WAI OI)
by director Alan Fung Chi Hung. Ten new directors will work with a new
generation designer to create a fashionable look for their red carpet
walk at this year's Hong Kong Film Awards on April 15th.
Yu Heung Yi last year was nominated for Best New Performer and
walked the Hong Kong Film Awards red carpet. At first she thought this
year she would not be on it again, but she did not expect to be invited
and even received a tailored design from a designer. However today she
will head to Japan for half a month for a web film. Thus she would have
to communicate with the designer over the phone and hope the results
would not make her look completely different.
Tam Sin Yin was happy to be on the Hong Kong Film Awards red
carpet again. She said, "The designer wanted me to display my physical
features and asked if I would mind being a little sexier. I didn't mind
as I wanted to change my image too. The previous impression I gave
people was very tomboyish, I hope to be able to be feminine."
