Louis Koo Tin Lok (Goo Jai) yesterday at the "Hong Kong Comic Con 2026" finale activities wore a black robe and held a lightsaber like "Palpatine" in the "STAR WARS". With more than 100 role-players he appeared on the same stage, the scene was shocking and brought the three-day event to a perfect end.

When Goo Jai appeared he immediately caused a stir. He even kept wielding the lightsaber and waving. He personally ushered everyone to position for the group photo. As the event ambassador he said that during the three-day event the pavilion was full of a very pure, very strong positive energy and joy. He said that the event was only the beginning, and will continue to create a high-standard animation and comic book stage that belongs to Hong Kong and is facing the international community in the future. He thanked all the teams, collaborators and the audience, and announced the successful conclusion of the first event. "This story is just the beginning, see you next year!"

Goo Jai said in an interview that he has decided to cosplay for his appearance on the spot the night before, but he did not expect that the lightsaber in his hand would suddenly run out of power. He admitted that he had many things to deal with over the past three days, but was glad to see that everyone spontaneously Cosplaying and parading in the venue. The live response was passionate, and he felt very happy. He joked, "My look of course is considered Cosplay, did you think this was pajamas? However the sword is suddenly out of power." He hoped to have the opportunity to cosplay his favorite Darth Vader in the future. Why did he change his plan? Because he had to be interviewed, he could not be sweating all over. He also said that when the audience saw someone dressed like Darth Vader, it might be him. Speaking of the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Rosanna Law Shuk Pui was also very happy to be present, Goo Jai said that he hoped to learn from the experience and do better next year, to be able to hold it in a larger venue, and for the atmosphere to be more like a party. As for the confusion at Korean star Byeon Woo-Seok's meeting, Goo Jai said that he knew and has already arranged for refund. He also said that the staff has already resolved the matter as soon as possible. Some online thought that too little of his collection was on display, he joked, "Why don't I display myself next year? (Did it hurt when others touch your collection?) I would ask them, maybe Spider-Man would respond."

Goo Jai's One Cool Group organized "Hong Kong Comic Con 2026" closed yesterday. In the afternoon he and "BACK TO THE FUTURE"'s mad scientist Christopher Lloyd attended a forum, the topic of which was time travel as they shared the challenges of shooting BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI) and BACK TO THE FUTURE, and the reasons that the characters remain popular for so many years. Host Erica Chui Wing Kwan asked Koo Tin Lok about how he played a modern person in ancient tmes. Koo Tin Lok said that he did not understand the question and hoped that she would ask again. Chui Wing Kwan froze and said that she was only following the script, then she changed the way she asked and said as a modern person, how would he interpret someone from the ancient times. Then Koo Tin Lok finally understood, but perhaps Chui Wing Kwan was frightened and appeared to be slight nervous after. She also turned "Mr. Koo" into "Boss", but overall her performance was decent.

A Cosplay contest also took place after the forum, as 6 contestants dressed up as characters from the two films. A child dressed up as Hong Siu Lung, but when he appeared he ignored Koo Tin Lok and gave Christopher Lloyd a high five instead. Koo Tin Lok laughed as he called to the child, "I am over here!" The contestant who cosplayed Sin Yau (Joyce Tang Lai Ming's role) said to Koo Tin Lok, "You told me you would give me the rainbow, I believed you for 20 years. Where's the rainbow?" Koo Tin Lok replied, "If I pay any attention to you I'd be crazy!" The contestant pouted and Koo Tin Lok joked, "If a financing company is collecting debts, you would be the top choice." During the group photo, Koo Tin Lok picked up the "mini Hong Siu Lung" and touched his hair.

In addition Korean star Byeon Woo-soek left Hong Kong the day before and many fans were on hand to see him off. A fan tossed a letter to the idol past the bodyguards and almost hit him in the head. Although he was surprised, he remained cool and smiled; even waved to fans from time to time.

Known as the "Thousand Faced Tathagata" of the Beijing opera and Cantonese opera, Master Lau Shun passed away on the 29th at age 87. The news of his death was confirmed by his junior colleague Law Kar Ying through social media. Law Kar Ying was sorry for the death of his brother Lau Shun and was also full of nostalgia. He made a long post to pay tribute to this respected Peking Opera master and an important person who has contributed a lot to the development of Cantonese opera.

Law Kar Ying shared a photo with Lau Shun, and revealed in the eulogy how they met. Law Kar Ying posted, "Today at 6PM, my senior colleague Mr. Lau Shun passed away. Born on the Year of the Rabbit, he was 87 this year. In 1980, when his opera troupe came to perform in Hong Kong Ma Yuqi introduced me to him. In 1982 he and his wife Guo Jinhua settled in Hong Kong. Since then Yau Sing Po, Lee Kei Fung, Lee Bo Ying and I trained with him. 20 or 30 people including my students, Siu Ying and Ngai Hin also trained with him. He was very skilled, his method of teaching was very authentic. I learned a lot and was even able to become a director. Many Cantonese opera stars like Chan Ho Kau, Lee Lung, Lung Koon Tin, Wan Fei Yin, Chan Ka Ming also studied with him, all of whom improved a lot. His contribution to Cantonese Opera was enormous. When his master Li Wanchun came to Hong Kong, he recommended me, Brother Po, Brother Kei to become Li Wanchun's disciples, thus we called him elder brother instead. He directed Liza Wang Ming Chuen's MU GUIYING, the river crossing fight scene was very cheerful. For the operas I constantly performed, he grasped the art, plot, movement for us and raised the entire opera's style, from which I also learned a lot. The artistic achievement transformation of the latter half of my life was all due to Mr. Liu's effort. He also once taught at the Academy of Performing Arts, Hung Mui, Cheng Wing Mui, Sung Hung Bo, Wong Hei Wing all have learned from him. Yet Performing Arts personnel matter became complicated and he left his post. In the past decade his health has not been well and gradually showed signs of aging. He still wholeheartedly instructed Hong Wah, Chan Ka Ming, Kim Lun, Kim Ying, Ng Kwok Wah and others. With his passing, another Beijing Opera master of the older generation is gone. The Hong Kong Cantonese Opera scene has benefitted heavily and would always remember him. Mr. Lau, I am very saddened. I am still thinking about having tea and dining with you. Unfortunately, Heaven didn't give me the opportunity to. May you have a safe journey."

Lau Shun was a senior Beijing opera actor and opera director. Born in Beijing in 1939, since childhood he studied Beijing Opera, learning from Li Wanchun, Li Shaochun, and other famous Beijing opera masters. In 1958 he graduated from the Chinese opera school, once was an actor in the Chinese Beijing Opera Theatre. In the 1980s he accompanied the Beijing Opera Company to perform in Hong Kong and later settled in Hong Kong, where he taught at the Hong Kong Dance Company and served as the coordinator of the Chinese Opera Curriculum and artistic guidance for the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. He cultivated opera and performance talents. In April 2021, Lau Shun was awarded the honorary fellowship by the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts as his achievement was recognized again.

Lau Shun was invited by director Tsui Hark in 1986 to serve as an opera director in the film PEKING OPERA BLUES (DOH MA DAN) and then entered the film industry. Lau Shun performed in a number of classic film works, including THE SWORDSMAN (SIU NGO GONG WU) as the feminine and fierce Eastern Depot eunuch "Gu Jinfu" in 1990. He was nominated for the 10th Hong Kong Film Awards Best Supporting Actor. In addition in "GOD OF GAMBLERS III BACK TO SHANGHAI", "NEW DRAGON INN", "ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA 3" (WONG FEI HUNG 3: SI WONG JUNG BA), and " A CHINESE GHOST STORY 3" (SIN NUI YAU WAN III: DOH DOH DOH), his interpretations of roles that could be both good and evil have already reached mastery skills and earned him the title of "Thousand Faced Tathagata" and "the Best Golden Support Actor". The audience relished the most was Lau Shun as the grand eunuch Lee Nin Ying in the Stephen Chow Sing Chi classic film HAIL THE JUDGE (GAU BUN SI MA GUOON). Their war of words became the climax of the film that was unforgettable to the audience. In 2013 he participated in the film THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG I) and took part in almost 100 films.

Ali Lee Kai Sum and Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun yesterday attended the "Comic Con 2026" for the Hong Kong animation production ODIUM ZERO (MO NGAI JI YEUK) press conference. Absent due to work, Simon Yam Tat Wah and Amy Lo Wai Man sent videos to show their support. Lee Kai Sum received the invitation from MY FIRST OF MAY (MO MING JI)'s director James Hung Ling Ching and would provide her voice to the only 16-year- old heroine. She admitted that the performance would be quite difficult because she was accustomed to performing with expression. Now she could only rely on the her voice and could not use the original sound. She would have to both withdraw from and invest in the role, which would not be easy. Did she find her 16 year old voice? "Using the 16 year old voice is easy, but this is an imaginary character. Her world is very pure world with monsters and viruses. It really requires a lot of imagination."

Providing her voice to the animation for the first time, Ali said that the last time she voiced a live-action film was an old movie before she joined TVB. At the time she voiced the role of Lynn Xiong Dilin. When asked if she was scared off the voice acting work so she never contacted it again, Ali said, "Because I didn't know how to use my voice back then, my voice was all hoarse in the end. However I want to challenge again if I would have the chance." Has the dubbing process been smooth? Ali said that she has done it twice. Because there was no complete work at that time, she was providing her voice while discussing with the director and making adjustments.

Having provided his voice to INSIDE OUT 2, Ngai Chun Sun was happy to be able to play a righteous soldier. He said that he deliberately used weathered and husky voice to play the role completely satisfying his "chunibyo" fantasy. "After dubbing I totally lost my voice, but it was a lot of fun. The director asked me to use a weathered and hoarse voice. Since I am very mature myself, I am very happy that the character can use my most sincere voice." He said that this time felt different. Sometimes his voice was too manly and the director would yell cut.

Ali has been rumored to star in the Hong Kong version of "LONG VACATION". She expected to start production in August and September, but still had no official script yet. She said, "Because changes were being made to the script all the time, I want a little more local elements. Of course the role would still follow the original version, but because there was no script yet I didn't prepare for the role." As for whether she would watch at the original version or not to avoid affecting her performance, Ali said that she would still watch this classic again and not worry about the original character would affect her. Ngai Chun Sun also said that he also watched this classic series, and was happy for his friend Edan Lui Cheuk On after learning that he had a role. Referring to his recent driver's test again, Ngai Chun Sun explained, "Before I only had automatic shift license, this time I took the stick shift test twice before passing. It was probably because I was too nervous, and had nothing to do with driving skill." He took the test again purely because he wanted to be "manlier", because his friends all drove manual transmission car. Would he buy a stick shift car? He said," I would. I would communicate with my other half first. I have to have a car first to be able to practice the skills."

Stephen Fung Tak Lu went to "Comic Con 2026" yesterday to promote his original animation and comic book intellectual property "BUCKET MAN". The 6-meter-high giant blow up doll on the scene was quite eye-catching. He also invited in the "French God of Gamblers" who battled Stephen Chow Sing Chi in "GOD OF GAMBLERS III: BACK TO SHANGHAI", Michael Wong Man Tak's older brother Declan Wong as the guest performer. They reprised one of the gambling scenes from the film. Declan even recited his classic line "I want to check the card" on the spot and cracked up the entire audience. Fung Tak Lun intended to make another gambling film, would release the comic version of the God of Gambler to test the water and wait for a boss to be willing to invest in the production.

Fung Tak Lun sincerely asked Declan Wong to come to Hong Kong from New Zealand to promote. Declan Wong also performed multiple magic tricks on the spot, and his sister-in-law, Janet Ma Sze Wai and niece Irisa Wong Lai Ka also came to support him. Fung Tak Lun said that he has known Declan for more than 30 years. "I knew him before I entered the profession in my teens, because when I was in school the art teacher asked him to come to school to perform. Since then I have liked magic, he is also my magic teacher but I haven't finished my lessons, not even 10%. I can only use it as entertainment."

Declan praised Fung Tak Lun as a good student and had a talent for magic, while he admitted that he was still surprised that the he has not performed on screen for the Hong Kong audience for a long time, Declan said that he was still interested in making movies and has participated in television series in New Zealand. As for his sister-in-law Ma Sze Wai niece Wong Lai Ka, Declan said that Ma Sze Wai was the first to watch his magic performance. His niece Wong Lai Ka also has watched him since she was a child. He said that he now lives in New Zealand, has performed magic and even taught people to fish there. He also said that he knew this classic line of "I want to check the cards" have gone viral in the mainland. Would he participate in Hong Kong films again? He said that he could at anytime.

When asked whether Fung Tak Lun would make another gambling film, although he was interested he understood that the market is now sluggish. He looked forward to finding a boss who would be willing to invest in the film. Now he would consider the launch of the God of Gamblers comic version. If the reaction would be good then he would have a live-action version of the performance. When asked whether he would invite his wife Shu Qi to perform, Fung Tak Lun said that he would worry about that when the time would come, talking about that now was too far away.

Film superstar Chow Yun Fat recently an the event reunited with his former co-star, the "genius child star" Xie Miao after not seeing each other for a long time. The opening ceremony of "Comic Con 2026 in Hong Kong" was held yesterday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The famous international animation and comic book exhibition brand was officially launched in Hong Kong for the first time. In addition to being invited to be an ambassador, Louis Koo Tin Lok also took part in preparing for the Hong Kong Comic-Con and exhibited his private toy collection. He hoped that the event would continue to take place in the future and become of one of the major events in Hong Kong. He also revealed that he would concoct a comic book based on the ghost-catching of Zhongwei and make it into an animated and live-action version.

Guests attending the opening ceremony yesterday included "Hong Kong Comic Con 2026" ambassador Koo Tin Lok (Goo Jai), Korean star Byeon Woo-seok who became famous for the TV series "LOVELY RUNNER", Christopher Lloyd who played the crazy scientist in "BACK TO THE FUTURE", and Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, American actors Norman Reedus and Giancarlo Esposito, and New Zealand actor Daniel Logan who starred in "STAR WARS EPISODE II: ATACK OF THE CLONES". Guests greeted the audience, followed by a eye-dotting ceremony for the lion dance and a toast with battle bowls.

As the first guest to appear, Goo Jai said that he was very happy to be invited as an ambassador. He originally wanted to take this opportunity to cosplay with everyone as Darth Vader or Spider-Man, but his colleagues said that he already looked like Dr. Doom; if he appeared with a dark look everyone would be upset. For the first time Comic Con was held in Hong Kong, everyone also worked hard to absorb and learn. He believed that this event would continue to be held and become a event in Hong Kong. Subsequently, a number of international film and television stars appeared. Daniel Logan said that he was very happy to witness this event and also excited; Giancarlo Esposito said that he came to Hong Kong and saw that everyone was full of love; Mads Mikkelsen said hello to the audience, and was happy to hear everyone's applause; Norman Reedus was excited to come to Hong Kong for the first time; Byeon Woo-seok greeted everyone in Korean, said that this was his first trip to Hong Kong and he was honored to be invited to attend; finally the 87 year old Christopher Lloyd came to the stage with Goo Jai. Goo Jai and others stars dotted the eyes for the lion dance and toasted.

Goo Jai said that actually this "Hong Kong Comic Con 2026" took 7 months to prepare since last year. Everything started from scratch. How to contact different units, Hollywood companies, hotels for international movie stars to the product booth arrangements, he has all taken part. Speaking of figures from Goo Jai's collection being on display, was his dream realized? Goo Jai joked, "My dream is to move everything to my warehouse and not move them out."

Goo Jai immediately appeared at the "MIBOCOOL comics project". He revealed that he would concoct the comic book ZK THE NEKRO-BLADE modeled on Zhong Kui the ghost catcher, which would also go from costume to modern. Zhong Kui would combine modern technology when hunting ghosts, the characters must also adapt to the new world. The comic book would be made into animation and live version, he pointed out that now the production of comics is more and more broader freedom than the film. He was one of the representatives of popular culture, when talking about the development of the IP industry's vision he believed, "Only creating an IP success is called IP, and now technology can use AI to cooperate. This time Zhong Kui's idea would be applied to AI creation." He believed that there is now an AI technology to reduce the time to make comics and create more stories to be animated. Referring to the live-action version of the comic book he would personally perform in, but it was said that Zhong Kui was full of facial hair. He smiled and said, "I will wait three or four years to grew a full beard full for the shoot!"

In addition, when asked whether the film WARRIORS OF FUTURE (MING YUT JIN GEI) would continue to make a prequel and a sequel? Goo Jai said that because the prequel story was more complex and have greater span, it will only be made into animation. The sequel would be a live-action movie and use the latest technology to combine the production, hoping to create another new scene.

Also talking about his recent role as a concert guest for other singers, he was said to be paving the way for a solo concert? Goo Jai said, "I'm invited, not doing it myself. I have a lot of work, making movies, plays and comic books. My head has already exploded, so I am not a liberty to reveal what hasn't happened yet."

He would work on the film TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: THE FINAL CHAPTER (GAU LUNG SING JAI JI JUNG JEUNG) within days. George Au Chun Ho was rumored to be playing his son? Goo Jai declined to spoil anything. Recently Charles Heung Wah Keung's wife, Tiffany Chan Lan said that he has changed from a "bad hand to a good hand". Goo Jai said without hearing the question, "No comment!"

Yuen Wah and Philip Ng Wan Lung were guests at a forum, sharing their memories on the movie sets. Yuen Wah revealed that film productions before used real kung fu and every punch landed. Even with the full safety precaution measures getting injuries all over was inevitable. He described being an action actor required toughness to take a beating and tolerance for pain.

Ng Wan Lung said that when he got a script for a movie, he would rely on his imagination to set the character's personality. He also discussed with the action director and then design the fight choreography. "Playing Wong Gau in TWILIGHT OF THE WARRIORS: WALLED IN (GAU LUNG SING JAI JI WAI SING), a very self pitying character who only turned vicious after being bullied. He designed the character to love being outrageous. A villain could be played very madly, with little restrictions than playing the hero. Playing the bad guy is more fun."

Law Kar Ying witnessed his film character the Venerable Monk Tang's 30th anniversary figure. His program YUM CHA co-hosts Crystal Fung Ying Ying and Fabienne Kwan Fung Hing showed their support. Law Kar Ying said that for decades in the business, he found connections with Cantonese Opera and film. His collections were almost Erhu instruments, opera costumes and fashion. He was very happy to receive his first figure due to the role of the Venerable Monk Tang, which also helped him make a lot of money and still has a path to "money" for him today. Turning 80 this year, he was preparing to release an autobiography at the Book Fair. The book would chronicle his family background, highs and lows in life and love. He said that he had no secret but would have a bottom line.

The Derek Yee Tung Sing produced, Hong Kong’s emerging director Keane Wong Tak Kin directed and written, Stephen Fung Tak Lun, Angela Yuen Lai Lam, Myolie Wu Hung Yi, and Chrissie Chau Sau Na starred film AFTERPIECE (DAI SEI MOK) was selected as the opening film of the 28th Shanghai International Film Festival (referred to as the SIFF). The SIFF said that AFTERPIECE was selected as the opening film, in addition to the film displaying the artistic courage of a newcomer's first feature film, but also the significance of the film's intergenerational inheritance and creative activation. The tea would head to Shanghai to attend the opening ceremony and the world premiere.

The film AFTERPIECE was one of the works under the "Directors' Succession Scheme" launched by the Hong Kong Film Development Council and the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency. It is funded by Infinity Multimedia unlimited film production, Hong Kong Film Development Fund, and fully supported by the Cultural and Creative Industry Development Agency and the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. AFTERPIECE's creative team will personally attend the grand opening ceremony and the world premiere of the film in Shanghai on June 13.

His first work was selected as the opening film of the festival, director Wong Tak Kin admitted that he was very excited, "This time I am the director and the screenwriter, everyone can finally meet the work. I am so nervous. To be able to become the opening film of the Shanghai Film Festival, as a new director I am more encouraged." As for the first work of his protege becoming the opening film, producer Yee Tung Sing after learning only said, "That's OK!"

As for the four leads, they are all excited about being fortunate enough to participate in the festival. Fung Tak Lun said, "Of course I am very happy and honored, and I am very happy to be able to shoot a film with a subject matter different from the past with the producer and director. It is a relatively new subject matter, and I look forward to seeing the audience as soon as possible."

Yuen Lai Lam said, "I am very grateful and proud to be selected for the Shanghai International Film Festival. I hope that in the future the film will continue to be screened around the world and communicate with audiences of different cultures."

Wu Hung Yi said, "I am so happy and honored to participate in the movie AFTERPIECE, thank you producer Yee Tung Sing for the appreciation. I am also very happy to collaborate with director K Jai (Wong Tak Kin). This time my role is an actress; it is a bit of a natural performance, but her character is much stronger than mine so this time the performance is very fun! I'm also very happy to work with Angela, Chrissie, and Stephen. This film is a very special film."

Chau Sau Na said, "Congratulations to the director, his first work is already able to participate in a festival. It is a shot of confidence for us before the film's release and absolutely is good news! This film's subject is novel, and I have never tried to play this type of role before. I look forward to seeing this work as soon as possible!"

The SIFF said that the reason why AFTERPIECE was selected as the opening film, in addition to the artistic courage of a newcomer's first feature it displayed, but also because the significance of the intergenerational inheritance and creative activation that the film was experiencing behind it. Passing the torch from the hands of a film's golden age elder to young person standing at a new starting point has become the most moving "premiere" at the opening ceremony of this festival. AFTERPIECE was not a film about the stage, but a film about "why people push themselves on the stage." The main character Owen in the gaze of the four women played the "director", "husband", "old love" and "creator". When the rehearsal evolved into a rehearsal for real life, the theater was finally no longer a refuge but a mirror -- what Wong Tak Kin's script was trying to approach was the crack illuminated by the spotlight: is a person creating a role, or running away from themselves?

With the announcement of the exhibition, the first batch of stills, teaser trailer and posters were also unveiled. Fung Tak Lun appeared with a beard. In recent years he focused on developing in the director's position. After many years he returned to Hong Kong to perform in the film AFTERPIECE. The role of a stage director could not be more familiar for him. This time he partnered with the new generation of actress Yuen Lai Lam, as well as the powerful actresses Chau Sau Na and Wu Hung Yi, a combination of a man and three women set off a lot of sparks out with each other.

Meanwhile Fung Tak Lun's animation intellectual property "BUCKET MAN" would land in "Hong Kong Comic Con 2026" tomorrow, as he would face Michael Wong Man Tak's brother Declan Wong, who played the "French God of Gamblers" in GOD OF GAMBLERS III BACK TO SHANGHAI. They would recreate a classic movie scene and interact with the live audience. The display area would have a six meter tall giant blow up version of the character, with many linked and interactive content.

In addition, Louis Koo Tin Lok's One Cool Group would participate in "Comic Con" and display many new intellectual properties and related projects. The song THE HOAX's music video star "Little alien black cat Kooloo" would have a blind box and limited edition "Hawaiian shirt alien" figurines. The Hong Kong science fiction film WARRIORS OF FUTURE (MING YUT JIN GEI)'s prequel animation project would be promoted for the first first. In it the new female lead "Koran" would make the best partner for the Koo Tin Lok played "Taylor".

Philip Keung Ho Man last night attended his Malaysian film KONG TAO's premiere. Karen Tong Bo Yu, Deep Ng Ho Hong and Michael Tong Man Lung were among the supporters. Keung Ho Man in the film played a Chinese Thai sorcerer and had to speak Thai dialogues, which he thought were harder than playing the sorcerer. Because he was mostly unsure about the meaning, the pronunciation was very tricky. He revealed that his wife was afraid of the taboo of the subject and once objected to his participation; but because the production team was former colleague's, he agreed as they asked him to work together again. "For my wife's peace of mind, before taking the role I deliberately went to worship in Thailand. Fortunately the production was considered smooth." Was he confident about the box office? Keung Ho Man said, "Everyone have their own tastes. I am already very happy that the film is able to be released in Hong Kong." He revealed that later aside from working on a Hong Kong drama, he was also preparing for a movie in Malaysia in September. He denied that due to the sluggish Hong kong market he moved to develop overseas. He let work take its natural course, as long as it was suitable he would work anywhere. "Malaysia has always liked Hong Kong artists very much, perhaps because the two cultures are similar."

"Friend of ATV" Elena Kong Mei Yan rushed to support Keung Ho Man after work. She joked that the current Hong Kong market has been poor and she hoped to drum up some business. If KONG TAO would make a sequel it could save a spot for her.

Tong Bo Yu had a contractual dispute with a mainland entertainment company and the court ordered the plaintiff to pay the 6 figure performance fee and advance in 10 days. She said that she still has not received any money and needed to find lawyers to handle it for her. "This is the first time I ran into this type of contract dispute, which hasn't affected my confidence in mainland performances." She revealed that she was touring in the mainland and the mainland production company she has been working with had reputation and was very stable. Once in the same record company with her, Shirley Kwan Suk E earlier was in the intensive care unit at the hospital and recently has been released and recovering at home. Tong Bo Yu said that she has only read the reporters and could not contact Kwan Suk E's family. Their friends also had no news so she hoped that the news was true. She wished her an early recovery and missed her singing. "I really want her to sing for everyone. Many online commented that they miss her singing."

Based on the 2010 Manila hostage incident, the film BEYOND THE HOSTAGE CRISIS (JAU CHOOK YUN JI SI GEIN) would open next month and held the premiere the night before. Yet Fish Liew Chi Yu, Mimi Kung Chi Yan, Don Li Yat Long and other major actors were absent, only Helena Law Lan, Luvin Ho (Ching Wai), Crystal Chow Yuen Ting, Terence Lam (Hon Yeung), and director Tony Leung Hung Wah, and the hostage incident survivor and consultant Yik Siu Ling.

The film has been criticized online for causing "second harm" to Hong Kong people. Director Leung Hung Wah disagreed, feeling that facing the issue and sharing were more important than avoiding it. He also stressed that the film has been carefully handled, the characters and settings were fictional. Only the background was borrowed for creation. The film has also discussed with Tse Chi Kin, the brother of the late tour guide victim leader Tse Ting Chun, many times. Regrettable he wold be unable to watch the film release.

For the absence of all the main actors at the premiere, Leung Hung Wah denied that it was related to the film controversy. He explained that it was the actor's schedule issue. He admitted that if the actor would ultimately unable to participate in any promotion, he would be "definitely disappointed", but understood the scheduling issue. He revealed that the film has been under preparation for many years and has been completed after turmoil such as epidemic closure, flooded equipment, and trapped in Phuket for four months. The incident survivor Yik Siu Ling as a consultant for the film was accompanied by her son and the film's photographer Chiu Tsz Yeung. She said that her son took the initiative to propose the shoot, after many years she has already put down the trauma of the past.

The 91-year-old Sister Law Lan fell at home earlier and still needed to see a doctor. She attended the premiere with a cane and was refreshed. Although she spoke softly, she answered freely and gave hearts to the media. She played the role of the family of a tourist, and all her scenes were filmed in Hong Kong. She joked that she hoped to have the opportunity to work and travel in the future. She revealed that she did not extend her TVB contract, not because of health but because of TVB's age policy and low pay. "After I looked it over I thought it was really 'thin', so it didn't matter whether I signed or not." Law Lan stated that her health has been 'iffy', but she had no intention of retiring and wanted to continue filming after recovering. Speaking of her friend Bowie Wu Fung's Hong Kong Coliseum concert in early June, Sister Law Lan smiled and said that Wu Fung would focus on work and has not invited her to watch.

Yuri Chan Yui Yui came to support the director Leung Hung Wah. She said that she knew the subject matter was more sensitive and thought the pain would not disappear because of avoidance. She thanked Leung Hung Wah for his help, and admitted that recently her film work has been reduced. Instead she made shop visit videos in Hong Kong and the mainland. She revealed that she gained five to six pounds early in the shoot, she threw up and even got gastroenteritis from eating too much. Now she has learned to control her diet to maintain her figure.
