"Fat Dragon" in the film JUSTICE MY FOOT, Sze Kai Keung
passed away last night from illness at age 60. Reportedly Sze Kai Keung
had diabetes and was hospitalized on Lunar New Year's Eve (15th).
Yesterday his condition took a turn for the worst as he passed away around
8 PM. Playing "Skinny Tiger" in JUSTICE MY FOOT, Paul Che Bo Law was
saddened to learn the news of Sze Kai Keung's passing. He regretted that
he was unable to see his friend one last time as he sobbed heartbrokenly.
Sze Kai Keung was in movies like THE HAPPY GHOST (HOI SUM GWAI),
ROSA (SUN YUNG SEUNG HEUNG PAU JOOK JAP), ACES GO PLACES (JUI GAI PAK
DONG), ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 97 (97 GA YAU HEI SI), and JUSTICE MY FOOT.
He made quite a pair with the skinny Che Bo Law in film. Sze Kai Keung
was a Radio Hong Kong program host and retired last year.
Sze Ka Keung's family yesterday saw his condition was getting
worse and contacted family and friends to come to the hospital. Che Bo
law due to work was unable to visit his friend. Later when he learned
about his passing he broke down. He lamented few good brothers remained
in life, so they stayed in touch and took care of each other. Pinky
Cheung Man Chi and Eric Wan Tin Chiu went to see Sze Kai Keung one final
time, at the time he was already in a coma.
International film star Donnie Yen Chi Tan was again
invited to be the "BMW Hong Kong Derby Ambassador". Earlier he went to
the Sha Tin Race Course for the promotional poster shoot.
"A minute on the stage takes ten years of effort off stage". Chi
Tan agreed with the saying with much. He said, "Whether in film or
other industries, success requires contributing the greatest effort. A
moment of glory actually spent countless blood, sweat and time behind it."
Chi Tan has been brilliant on the international stage and recognized for
his achievements, he shared the secret of his success behind the glory.
"Firmly believe! Success isn't overnight. You have to take initiative,
work hard and stay at your best at every moment."
How does the "Strongest of the Universe" Yen Chi Tan maintain his
advantage and reach new heights? Chi Tan quoted a saying in Hollywood,
"You are as good as your last movie." He explained, "No matter how many
hit films you have made before, your value is based on the performance of
your last film. So you can't always stay in past performance or be
pleased with your current predicament. Instead you have to keep reminding
yourself that you must look ahead in life. Even when faced with
challenges and difficulties, you need to find a breakthrough. You have
to give your all to reach the best performance. Everyday I tell myself
to be like a student, to keep learning, to keep improving myself, shine
endless in the short time in life, this is how I live and work."
Chi Tan admitted that he was the proudest of his family. He
said, "Family to me is the most important. Wedding and the births of the
children are the most glorious moments of my life, the greatest
achievements."
Chi Tan just finished production on the film DAI SI HING, which
was about the educational system. Chi Tan admitted that being a parent
now is hard, being a child, a student, is not easy either. Both need to
find a balance. "Aside from ENTER THE FAT DRAGON (FAT LUNG GOR GONG),
DAI SI HING is also my own company production and a subject that I want
to explore. Actually I have always wanted to make a movie about
education. I now have the space and the ability to choose, so I want to
make a subject that concerns the community -- about children's education,
examining the educational system in Hong Kong or children around the
world, through the film examining the problem, hoping after the release
everyone could give their opinions."

The Filmko Lunar New Year film THE MONKEY KING 3 (SAI YAU
GEI NUI YI GOK) made 600 million yuan RMB at the Mainland box office.
Gigi Leung Wing Kei yesterday attended a New Year event to promote the
film. Gigi said that spending the holiday in Hong Kong, she was able to
take her daughter Sofia on Lunar New Year visits, expand her life
circle and meet even more new friends.
Gigi said that her daughter was a curious baby as she wanted to
try anything new. When her daughter saw her mean look in THE MONKEY KING
3, she had to explain to her. Even her friends' children asked her
daughter if Mama would yell at her. Her daughter answered that was not
the case. Gigi explained to her daughter that her character was like a
strict mother. She was not a bad person. Gigi said that fans praised
her performance this time as a big breakthrough, but some fans still were
not pleased that she was no pretty enough and her hair line was too high.
Gigi explained, "Actually it's just make up. I have to clarify that my
hair is still very thick and full. The character aside from not being
pretty enough is truly a great challenge."
Gigi said that she gained a few pounds after all the holiday
food. Earlier when she made BAK GOR NUI YUN YUT TOI HEI director Stanley
Kwan Kam Peng asked her to lose five or six pounds. Now her weight was

The Lunar New Year film MONSTER HUNT 2 after the Berlin
Film Festival yesterday received more box office. After five days in
release its Hong Kong box office was HK$ 10,665,607, more than the first
film's HK$ 10 million. The film was also a hit in Southeast Asia as it
topped the Chinese film box office in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand,
Vietnam and Cambodia. To thank the audience for their support, Wuba in
the latest outtake video with the new monster BenBen turned into Korean
stars and danced with sunglasses. In the latest stills Best Actor Tony
Leung Chiu Wai put on a tiger suit to perform in an acrobat troupe. He
and Wuba's friendship was both funny and touching, making he audience
laugh and cry. MONSTER 2 opened on the Lunar New Year's Day in the
Mainland with 554 million RMB, breaking THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS' 487
million RMB record to become the highest single day box office champion
in China's film history. As of yesterday it already exceeded 1.5 billion
RMB after five days in release.
Dayo Wong Tze Wah's AGENT MR. CHAN (DUNG DUK DUT GUNG) accumulated
over HK$ 28.4 million in Hong Kong and Macau and headed toward HK$ 30
million. Tze Wa has always been the "box office poison", from his first
film in 1993 TWO OF A KIND (CHING YUN JI GEI) in 25 years he starred in
11 films with a total box office of HK$ 27.17. He never had a HK$ 10
million box office showing until this time with AGENT MR. CHAN.
The Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed OPERATION RED SEA performed well
in the Mainland. Yesterday it already broke 1.1 billion RMB in the
afternoon and some in the industry believed that i could reach 3 billion
