The film ZOMBIE FIGHT CLUB's actors Jessica C. Andy Tien (On Chi Kit) and Philip Ng Won Lung yesterday promoted on the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, where the Run for your lives events was taking place. JC took the chance to participate, but she said that she was very afraid of zombies. Seeing yesterday's event, she was reminded of non stop zombie chase scenes last year. She said, "The film was very terrifying, I had to run like crazy. For the movie I went to run in the gym." JC also said that she did not mind giving up her pretty looks to play a zombie, because she could not only neglect her looks but also chase people.

On Chi Kit said that he wanted to be the fast zombie. The zombies in the film were more horrifying than at the event. As for his friend Nicholas Tse Ting Fung getting back together with Faye Wong, Andy said that Ting Fung was so busy that they have not been in contact for a long time. "I only found this out lately. (Have you congratulated him?) I have, I congratulated him inside but I didn't send a text message." In addition ZOMBIE FIGHT CLUB's action director and actor Ng Won Lung stated that another job meant another salary. He would also ask rumored girlfriend Linda Chung Ka Yun to show her support. If she wanted he would watch it with him.

The Chapman To Man Chak, DaDa Chan Jing starred Hong Kong comedy FLIRTING IN THE AIR (TONG BAK FU CHUNG SEUNG WON SIU) two days ago opened and accumulated over 1 million at the box office to become the top opening Chinese film. They hoped to be able to balance the Hong Kong audience' heavy emotions under the current community tension.

The actors will attend film promotion activities this weekend, continue to promote the film and radiate positive energy.

DaDa in the film put away her sexiness and worked with Ah Jat to present the most authentic comedy and salute Stephen Chow Sing Chi's classic film FLIRTING SCHOLAR.

"Jing Girl" Hazel Tong Chi Yui played "Ha Heung" in the film. Her performance was not too sexy. She said that this time was just a small test. She was already mentally prepared for sexy performance as a Jing Girl, but sh would not compare herself with Connie Man Hoi Ling because their presence and range were different. She said, "Brother Jing said that I had a (Pauline) Wong Siu Fung flavor, that I can be her successor."

Playing a pilot in the film, Dominic Ho Ho Man thanked Wong Jing for giving him a chance. "Earlier I made FROM VEGAS TO MACAU 2, the next one I would even have a chance at the lead. Brother Jing says that he senses my potential. Maybe I prefer me being clean and clear, mild mannered looking. I hope to be able to work toward a film career like (Nicholas) Tse Ting Fung's."

The 60 year old Sammo Hung is still energetic and enthusiastic about work, giving him the admiration of a well known hard worker like Andy Lau
courtesy of mingpao.com

Andy Lau Tak Wa and Sammo Hung Kam Bo worked together again on the film LO WAI BING (OLD GUARD). This time Big Brother Big even directed and starred. Wa Jai revealed, actually he read this script first. He said, "After I asked boss (Bill) Kong Chi Keung if he was interested, I asked Big Brother Big if he was interested in directing. Then I asked him to perform too, actually I beg him to perform first. Later he felt that a character was suitable for me and asked me to play it."

This is Big Brother Big directed and starred, was it tough on him? He said, "Absolutely no problem, it's my specialty -- just a simple dish." What kind of character would he play? He again displayed his humorous nature and said, "I play a person." Wa Jai laughed and said, "I am the animal." Big Brother Big said that this time he played a retired bodyguard, telling a post retirement story. Wa Jai was his neighbor, someone who did not know how to take care of his family, woman and daughter. He gambled and drank. Has Wa Jai rarely played this type of characters? He admitted, "It was a huge challenge, I really am not (like that)."

Wa Jai once said that years ago he worked with Big Brother Big, who built a foundation for his action films. Hung Kam Bo said, "He was young then, and handsome too. I really liked him. At the time I hoped that I wouldn't make a mistake with him. If I did, the road that followed would be very difficult for him." He also said that at the time he did not want to make Wa Jai handsome. Instead he wanted him to make his action convincing and cool. Did Wa Jai meet his requirement? Big Brother Big laughed and said, "He did. If not, he would have a lot longer to suffer." He remembered that one scene back then took a very long time to shoot, because he wanted to hone Wa Jai.

They talked about their changes over the years. Big Brother Big pointed out that Wa Jai now has more urgency about shaping the character. Wa Jai pointed out that Big Brother Big's personality and all of his attitude never changed, but he would continue to keep up with the times. Many veteran directors nowadays would not follow special effects exactly, Big Brother Big now is still studying. Thus his work would never lose touch with the times. Was Big Brother Big very humorous when directing? Big Brother Big suddenly got serious and said, "I am very solemn. I don't know humor. I am an ancient antique, I don't know how to tell jokes. I only know that I am very different from before. I used to 20, today I am 60, hahahaha."

Wa Jai once said that Big Brother Hung Kam Bo was willing to admit defeat. Big Brother Big said, "I can't say I don't admit defeat, but I can't say I admit defeat either. The society is moving, you can't stop. I have to follow along." He admitted that back then when he went to the U.S. for awhile, it was very tough after coming back because he had to catch up with film equipment and technique. He said, "I never told anyone, actually I had a very hard time with the chase. When I made DETECTIVE DEE I chased, when I made THREE KINGDOMS I also had to chase." Wa Jai pointed out that Big Brother Big actually was not afraid of losing. He was willing to make new attempts. Some things he might not be able to grasp but he would still try them. Was Wa Jai afraid of losing? He joked, "No, you can tell from my investments. Many films have to be a little daring, sometimes if I don't take my own way, I may feel very uneasy inside. I have lost before, so I lost."

Wa Jai and Big Brother Big had a lot to talk about before. They would talk about food, exercises and health. Hung Kam Bo joked, "We talked about whether to use the back teeth or the front teeth to chew, haah." Wa Jai said that Big Brother Big and Sister in Law Joyce Godenzi (Go Lai Hung) knew that he was vegetarian. During the shoot they would make vegetarian soup for him. Speaking of Sister in Law's revelation of Big Brother Big's love for corn, Big Brother Big clarified, "Because during the shoot, corn was just planted nearby. Several months later they matured, I thought I definitely had to have my fill. Actually I didn't particularly like to have it. When you pick them to eat yourself it is quite a pleasure, it is particularly delicious." Did Wa Jai also remind Big Brother Big to have more healthy food? Big Brother Big chimed in, "How do you know I am not healthy, my principle is to eat anything that I can digest and has nutrition. The exceptions would be metal and wood." Wa Jai pointed out that Big Brother Big was already in better control than before. Now he would even take vitamins. Big Brother Big said, "The vitamins knew to grow inside the body before; now the vitamins are all gone, so I have to take them."

People have made Andy Lau Tak Wa "the people's Chief Executive". Yesterday on his official site he gave his opinion on the recent "Occupy Central" protests. Wa Jai hoped that Hong Kong would be peaceful and protesters would pay attention to their own careful.

Wa Jai titled the post "Peace For Hong Kong" on his official site. Wa Jai wrote, "Hong Kong people all love Hong Kong. When fighting for appeal, everyone should care about themselves and mind the general public. No one should be emotionally provoked by a few. No tear gas, no violence, no abuse. Students, protesters, everyone have to be concerned with their safety. You should know that their families are worrying about your safety. I wish Hong Kong peace. Wa Jai"

Frankie Lam Man Lung executive produced and starred in the new film NGOR MOON TING JIN BA (LET'S STOP FIGHTING), which held a celebration two nights ago. Other attendees included screen writers Rachel Lam Hei Tung, Patrick Tam Yiu Man, Pinky Cheung Man Chi, Ai Wai, Kathy Yuen (Tong Yi) and Charles Ying Cheung Yau. NGOR was about the Hong Kong situation. Lam Man Lung pointed out that the story coincidentally matched with the latest Hong Kong situation. As for the recent "Occupy Central" movement, Lam Man Lung said, "I haven't supported it, the matter has no right or now. Each side has its own stance, both sides have right and right. I can't comment over an individual event. Many people flock to do something, but we must isolate our own thinking to look at the entire matter." Screen writer and actress Lam Hei Tung said that she said something that she wanted to say so she wrote the story. As for the current situation of Hong Kong, Lam Hei Tung said, "Everything is cyclical, I believe each place would have something like this happening. I would express my opinions on the streets. I understand that a nation has something it has to be concerned about, but when you go to the streets you would know the students' stance."

Tam Yiu Man played a teacher in the film and had intimate scenes with Kathy Yuen (Tong Yi). He said, "We have a lot of action, from the balcony to the room. She almost hit her head." As for "Occupy Central", Tam Yiu Man said, "I have no interest in politics myself. My motivation for work is not political, but I can sense the unity of Hong Kong people and the next generation. They are braver than me. When I was their age I didn't daring to take my appeal on the streets, but being calm is the most important. The community needs to operate normally, I hope they would negotiate under order." Two days ago was Cheung Man Chi's 43rd birthday. She pointed out that she did not mind telling her age. Cheung Man Chi said, "I was born in 1971, but a site said that I was born in 1973. I even notified them to make the correction to avoid people saying that I am falsifying my age." She said that she has been celebrating the entire month and already had six birthday cakes. She also received many birthday gifts.

[2014.10.02] WILSON CHIN SUPPORTS STEPHEN CHOW

MCDULL ME AND MY MUM two nights ago held its premiere at the Kowloon Bay Exhibition Center. Wilson Chin Kwok Wai and his girlfriend Calinda Chan Yuen Wai attended. The Stephen Chow Sing Chi directed new film MERMAID will have Chin Kwok Wai as its executive director. Chin Kwok Wai revealed that most of the cast has been confirmed and the production will start around mid October. Mainly Mainland and Hong Kong actors will perform.

Chow Sing Chi earlier was criticized online for being hard to get along with. Most who have worked with him would neither work together for too long nor become friends. Chin Kwok Wai said, "I don't feel this way. . When I went to work in TVB, it happened to be the end of his TVB life. When I got into the business I have played the 'black and white vampires', I have shared the stage with him. Later we ran into each other once or twice on the street." He pointed out that with every film or production, co-workers would normally argue. Also, TVB earlier downsized fifty people, including long time employees. He said, "I heard that the entire children department was removed, which was regrettable. The children department more than cultivated Sing Yeh, (Tony) Leung Chiu Wai, (Margie) Tsang Wa Sin, (Dior) Cheng Yi Kin and other stars, I hope Hong Kong would have its own children's programs." Chin Kwok Wai pointed out that some former co-workers were affected. If they asked for his help he certainly would.
