The Andy Lau Tak Wa produced and starred, Jason Kwan Chi Yiu directed, Gordon Lam Ka Tung, Eddie Peng Yu-Yan, Cya Liu starred crime action film I DID IT MY WAY (CHIM HUNG) has already entered its second week in Hong Kong. As of January 19th, the film after 9 days accumulated close to HK$ 10 million. Two nights ago Wa Jai after the opening day went to three shows and appeared again at cinemas for audience appreciation events. Not only did he surprise the audience, he also snuck into the audience to observe the audience's reaction in close distance.

Wa Jai stated that the last time he had a similar experience was already many years ago. I would go to premieres; but when I really see the everyday audience's reaction, that feeling is very different."

As the producer as well, Wa Jai of course cared about everyone's reviews. From fans he learned that everyone praised the film's use of AI technology on the newborn baby. Its appearance and acting were rather realistic. Some also praised the film's action scenes as exciting, Wa Jai credited action director Chin Kar Lok. "I hope in the future action films with drama flavor would become more and more, and would be able to have action scenes like the ones Chin Kar Lok designed. Music diva Joey Yung Cho Yi put her concert on the big screen, as soon as they went on sale all 10 shows were sold out. The response was rather enthusiastic! Joey two days go ran all over Hong Kong and Kowloon for audience appreciation shows, and joked that Emperor boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing referred to her as "box office guarantee". She humbly said that she was box office poison, but was able to make the cinemas "full house". It was a great memory!

Yung Cho Yi put her concert MY SECRET LIVE: ANOTHER SIDE on the big screen. With such a passionate response, she made a special announcement that next week more shows would be added, not only in Hong Kong but in Macau as well; so friends who were unable to get tickets would be able to enjoy this performance.

To thank the audience for its support, Joey two days ago with director Kearen Pang Sau Wai started from 4PM to 11PM ran to 8 shows in Kowloon and Hong Kong. They made the audience very happy, and viewers were rather excited and into it. Many fans followed Joey's call and all wore in "bling bling dress code". Inside the cinemas a sea of light and singing in unison often happened, just like the large scale concert. Joey was very touched. Each show's viewers had a lot of fun, crying and laughing and screaming. Some viewers deliberately made the trip from South Africa, England, Canada and other places to watch this film version. Viewers shared their experience afterward and some tearfully thanked Joey for her songs that encouraged them to bravely face what was ahead during the pandemic. Most had nothing but praise and hoped that with the added show to be able to watch a few more times.

A male viewer said, "During the pandemic everyone was very down, thank you for 'the show must go on' and upload concert videos to YouTube. Everyday I have been here listening to your songs again. Another viewer said that actually he has already seen this concert at the Academy of Performing Arts. Each time he would be moved to tears, but today at the cinema he cried much worse than at the Academy of Performing Arts. Joey was very surprised and asked, "Why?" Moving her concert to the big screen, Joey said that it felt like a dream and was excited. "The IMAX screen is enormous, it's the first time I see such a super gigantic me. Magnified 100 times, I really have to thank my Mommy because I couldn't see my pores, haha. Although I watched the cut many times, and earlier I watched it at the movies myself; watching it again today I realized that on such a big screen really nothing could hide. I saw many details only today, like my sweating, how the back of my clothes is all wet...I saw myself pouring my heart into singing and performing every song, I didn't disappoint the audiences of 34 shows. I really want to praise myself a little. (Some viewers say they are waiting for you to be nominated for the Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actress with this film) Boss Yeung Sau Sing joked that I am now a box office guarantee, not box office poison, haha! I don't dare to force this; this box office poison can make a cinema full house. I can already write that into my life chronicle. It's a very good memory! If I would be nominated I would be happy, as I can try walking the Hong Kong Film Awards red carpet, haha!" A fan asked Joey when she would perform another concert. Joey revealed that later she would perform in Macau, in 2025 she would have a large scale concert project.

Joey's Mama, little brother two nights ago came to show their support as well. Joey's Mama even said that watching on the screen felt very happy and safe, while little brother held up his daughter to greet her aunt in a rather cute way -- like in the movie THE LION KING.

Hong Kong first adult video actress Erena So Hoi Lam yesterday was a judge at the film DUE WEST 2 (YUT LO HEUNG SAI 2 DONG GAING AV GUNG LEUK)'s audition ceremony. Candidates have lined up outside the door early on. They included models from Taiwan. So Hoi Lam said that she liked mild mannered men with glasses. "Height doesn't matter, just not too thin. (Muscles?) I don't like that, having a little belly instead is OK." She also said that the film definitely would have nude scenes. The Chung Suet Ying starred new film THE WANNABE LYRICIST (TIN CHI L) would open in March. Director Norris Wong Yi Lam earlier attended a screening and stated that Chung Suet Ying was the only choice for the lead. "She meets all the requirements for the character. When work began she immersed her own experience from her lyricist journey into it and elevated this character." Chung Suet Ying also admitted, "I have never tried to play the female lead. This time I am even performing with so many active lyricists, communication wise we can particularly relate."

Stephy Tang Lai Yan, Simon Yam Tat Wa, Mimi Kung Chi Yan and others starred new film HUNG DAU (RED BEAN) yesterday held its production start ceremony. Playing a father who was chauvinistic in the film, Yam Tat Wa made daughter Stephy felt neglected. She often argued with her slacker "little brother" Jeffrey Ngai Chun Sun, and joked that she wanted to ask the director to add a scene to slap him. During the interview a butterfly frightened Ngai Chun Sun into taking a few steps back. Stephy "shoo" it away then pretended to hit him. Playing the boyfriend, Kevin Chu Kam Yin might ask to add scenes when the mood struck and joked that he had "action scenes" added before. Chu Kam Yin was not nervous about working with the goddess for the first time, and praised her for bringing him into character.

Brother Wa said that he and Kung Chi Yan have worked together before on television and in movies. Yam Tat Wa this time let go of his handsome image to bring the Tongsui shop boss to life. Speaking of his horse winning a race earlier as the dark horse and won over a million dollar in prize after overcoming 1:47 odds, he said that he was teaching Stephy how to cook red beans that day and did not place a bet. He joked, "Those red beans are pretty expensive, but it doesn't matter, I wish everyone good luck always! (Would you be afraid that you missed out?) No, if it happens it happens. That day although I didn't win money I still treated everyone, and I learned to buy the whole meal (betting on horses)."

Playing the tongsui shop heir, Jeffrey revealed that the character was not what he seemed. Inside he really loved his family but he did not show it, he specialized in having fun but would not help with the shop; instead Chu Kam Yin in the film in order to win over his girlfriend would help around the shop.
