Yesterday, October 10, was the late singing queen Anita Mui Yim Fong's 47th birthday. Her fans not only prepared cake, buns, fruit, soft drink and others to pay their respect at Kowloon Tong's Shang Sin Chung Tong but her fan club also held a salute to her at the Tuen Mun Town Plaza. The event invited Sherman Chung Shu Man, Alice Lau Nga Lai, Law Kwan Jor and A-Day as guests. They remembered Sister Mui in different ways, Chung Shu Man's performed BAD GIRL (WAI NUI HAI) and FLAMING RED LIPS (LIT FOR HUNG SHUN); Lau Nga Lai performed RED SPIDER LILY (MAN JU SA WA) and STAND BY ME; A-DAY performed DESTINY (YUEN FUN) and MILLENNIUM QUEEN (CHIN NIN NUI WONG). The event also put a lot of Sister Mui memorabilia on display.

Chung Shu Man said that she thought of her FLAMING RED LIPS look as soon as she thought of Mui Yim Fong. Chung Shu man said, "Sister Mui was very fashion forward, now most singers couldn't catch up to her trendiness. 30 years ago she was as daring as Lady GaGa with her innovative attempts." Reportedly, Emperor's Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin and William Chan Wai Ting have developed a romance. Their company mate Chung Shu Man said that she did not read the report and only learned the news from co-workers. She said, "I work with Chan Wai Ting all the time, but I never heard him talking about this. I of course am uncertain about them, but dating is a good thing. Whether true or not, they should be the ones to respond." She also said that she was somewhat surprised when she heard and would consider calling Chan Wai Ting after the promotion to check on him. Earlier Ah Sa and Chan Wai Ting shared a birthday party, Chung Shu Man said that she always thought that they only had one party because their birthdays were close to each other. She did not think too much about it.

Yesterday attending in a wheelchair, Law Kwan Jor was full of spirit. He said that every year he would take this day off to attend Ah Mui memorial events. Law Kwan Jor said, "Soon it will be seven years, every year I will share something about her on the stage." Losing his right foot earlier, he earlier was scheduled to be fitted for prostheses but because his bone has dislocated the doctor said that he would need further physical therapy and recovery before the process. He said, "The doctor said I shouldn't need another operation, I am very afraid of another operation." He also said that after two operations with general anesthesia, luckily his memory did not reduced as rumored. Now he is writing a new book that teaches readers pronunciation and enunciation, then he will write 40 YEARS OF ENJOY YOURSELF TONIGHT. At the same time he has been busy as a Department of Labor instructor who teaches young people how to handle job interviews.

In addition, yesterday many artists wrote messages on their micro blogs in memory of Sister Mui. Her disciple Denise Ho Wan Si said, "After coming back from Taiwan, I brought my little god daughter to say Happy Birthday to Ah Jeh. Seven years in the brink of an eye, you must be very happy under the shade of the great Buddha, laughing all the way as you accept each of our remembrance. Everyone still think about you a lot and still miss every part of you. Your effort and energy that exceed others of course will continue to live in the hearts of others. You never left!" Joey Yung Cho Yi also wrote, "Sister Mui, I didn't have many opportunity to be in contact with you, but every time has been unforgettable for me. In 1999, back stage at your concert, the boss brought me to greet you. At the time perhaps your charm and aura stunned me, like an idiot I didn't know how to respond. When I got home I even thought about how someone is structured to be able to sing and dance at will in a pair of eight inch high heels?" Joey also said, "In 2000, I attended your birthday party. The most, most memorable for me was the dance with you, half drunk you whispered encouragement in my ears. It was very touching and I will always remember it in my heart." Currently busy with her concert Miriam Yeung Chin Wa also remembered to say to Sister Mui, "Happy Birthday, Sister Mui!" Another one of Sister Mui's disciples Calvin Choi Yat Chi said, "To my most beloved mentor, Happy Birthday! Hopefully you are happy wherever you are."
