All Hong Kong cinemas have been closed for over 70 days. Today the ban has been lifted on the Lunar 7th. Viewers who have been "starving" for over two months could not wait to order tickets online and prepare to go to the movies. Today many films would be released, including WONDER WOMAN 1984, SHOCK WAVE 2 (CHAK DAN JUEN GA 2), THE WAY WE KEEP DANCING (KONG MO PAI 3), SOUL and others. Among them WONDER WOMAN 1984 and SHOCK WAVE 2's advanced ticket sales have been decent.
The Golden Scene distributed THE WAY WE KEEP DANCING (KONG MO PAI 3)'s cast and crew produced a cinema courtesy song to welcome the film release and the cinema re-opening, as well as the Golden Scene Cinema opening, and to remind the audience common courtesy at the cinema. THE WAY WE KEEP DANCING's actors Cherry Ngan Cheuk Ling, Babyjohn Choi Hon Yik, Lokman Yeung and others sang and danced in the "cinema courtesy film", showing off their dance abilities and mischievous expressions.
The Patrick Tam Yiu Man, Justin Cheung Kin Sing and Louis Cheung Kai Chung starred BREAKOUT BROTHERS (TOH YUK HING DAI) was originally scheduled for release in December last year. After waiting for over 70 days the film finally was released for preview screenings and would officially open next Thursday (the 25th). Tam Yiu Man said, "BREAKOUT BROTHERS is a rare prison movie in Hong Kong in recent years, with tension and comedy. In one scene Cheung Kin Sing and I in the 'battle of men' in the prison cell, engaging in physical combat for 5 hours. After the battle we both had injuries." Cheung Kin Sing said, "Although I got hurt, the result is good. It was a very memorable scene in my life."
