The Hong Kong Film Award "Best Screenplay" winner for the movies TRIVISA (SHU DAI JIU FUNG) and DETECTIVE VS. SLEUTH (SUN TAM DAI JI), Mak Tin Shu directed and wrote the film DOG DAY EVENING (YUT GOR BO MOON DIK DAN SUN) for the first time. It would be released in June, and would star fresh out of the oven Hong Kong Film Awar Best Actress Fish Liew Chi Yu, Michael NIng (Bai Ji) and Mak Pui Tung. Fish boldly transformed in the film, playing the role of an anime fan otaku with a "slow turnover". She deliberately dyeing bright blue hair and bleaching eyebrows for the character, the look was completely different from the past. She had to wear an inflatable doll to dress up as the mascot of the TV station, and was held hostage by Yukki Tai who suddenly broke into the TV station.

Yukki Tai has been recognized for his work in the movie TIME STILL TURNS THE PAGES (NIN SIU YUT GEI) and the drama LEFT ON READ. Recalling the crazy plot in the film, he laughed and said that the role was very close to the feelings of this generation of young people. Sometimes when he ran into unfairness he would dare to be angry but not to speak, and built a lot of helplessness and struggles internally. He also said that it was his first time playing a major role in a movie. He was under a lot of pressure, and he felt excited to be able to hold a gun this time.
