The Stephen Chow Sing Chi written and directed film KUNG FU SOCCER (GONG FU NUI JOOK) has been scheduled for a mainland release on July 11th while its Hong Kong release date has yet to be announced. Yesterday the film company officially released the teaser poster, trailer and the cast, with the Golden Rooster Award Best Actress Zhang Xiaofei, Dilraba and Lay Zhang Yixing as its stars. Carina Lau Ka Ling and Japanese star Takeru Satoh made special performances. Sisley Choi Si Bui, Louis Cheung Kai Chung, MC Jin (Auyeung Ching), former Chinese women's soccer player Zhao Lina and Japanese dance group Avantgardey also participated.

In the 22 second KUNG FU SOCCER teaser, a female player's silhouette performed a scorpion kick in mid air. The ball went into a flock of birds in the air and even a plane had to swerve to avoid it. A female voice said, "Are you joking? I don't believe it! Kick the ball back and let me try!" A girl appeared from the tree and an explosion took place. At the end, a male voice said, "This is too exaggerated!"

Producer Sze Yan Ngai posted on social platforms the KUNG FU SOCCER release information and a conversation with Chow Sing Chi. He asked, "Sing Yeh, is it time to decide on the release date?" Chow Sing Chi replied, "0 promotion release, how amazing it that?" He answered, "Amazing! I really wouldn't have guessed it!"

Last night Sze Yan Ngai again posted a video of Chow Sing Chi showing off his ball skills on the set, describing his kick as "one kick would blow up the bar".
