Venue Wong Yik Man and director Alan Lo Wai Lun with ZOMBIOLOGY ENJOY YOURSELF TONIGHT (GUM MAN DA SONG SI) were invited to attended the 23rd Made in Hong Kong Film Festival in Washington. They both felt happy and honored. Wong Man Yik said, "I am very honored to be able to represent ZOMBIOLOGY and attend the film festival. I look forward to bringing this film to the American audience. The zombie culture is very popular in the U.S. I want to see what they think about Hong Kong produced zombie films. After learning that ZOMBIOLOGY is the only Hong Kong film that was invited, I was even more surprised."

Wong Man Yik bought a surprise gift for boyfriend Derek Tsang Kwok Cheung. She said, "Washington doesn't have many shopping districts. I happened to be there on a weekend and was able to go to a flea market to buy a gift for him."

Francis Ng Chun Yu two nights ago attended the film MEN ON THE DRAGON (YIK LAU DAI SHOOK) premiere. Actually for his movies he experienced the "fat man quartet", gaining 8 to 10 kilograms. However being able to eat all he wanted truly was a pleasure. He even revealed that Louis Koo Tin Lok might not look fat, but was almost 80 kilograms. Goo Jai was heavier than him!

Ng Chun Yu was the film's executive producer and lead actor. He supported this film by taking no salary. Two nights ago he and other actors Poon Chan Leung, Ken Wong Tak Bun, Tony Wu Tsz Tung and Jennifer Yu Heung Yi performed a drum ceremony to wish success for the film. Chun Yu's wife and son attended in support.

Watching the film for the first time that night, Chun Yu learned that the film had decen word of mouth from advanced screenings. "My son Feynman will come later to see how fat Papa is. Earlier I went through the 'fat man quartet' during the film productions, I had to gain weight for THE TRADING FLOOR, THE LEAKER (SIT MUK JEH), MEN IN THE DRAGON and A HOME WITH A VIEW (GA WO MAN SI GAING). I gained 8 to 10 kilograms, the peak was 74 kilograms. I couldn't reach 80 kilograms, I wouldn't be able to move. Don't let how thin Koo Tin Lok looks fool you, he is 80 kilograms and heavier than me."

Now Chun Yu has already returned to normal shape. He said, "This is my original, healthy shape, earlier I gained weight for the characters. (Would you gain weight for another role?) I would depend on me, but the weight gain quartet was pretty pleasant. I had pork liver soup for breakfast, I also had pan fried sticky rice chicken, which was warm and perfect for the winter. After the shoot I gradually ran and exercised to lose weight, I lost 8 kilograms in a month. (Was dieting the hardest?) I really like to eat, and I eat a lot. In the afternoon I would have bubble tea, at night after dinner I would have a can of beer to feel full. However I would exercise more, so I told my son if he likes to eat then he has to exercise more."

Yu Heung Yi earlier at the New York Asian Film Festival already caught a glimpse of the film. Wu Tsz Tung deliberately skipped the film at many audience appreciation events to save it for the premiere. Yu Heung Yi said, "I saw the great audience reaction and how tan I got in the film. Unfortunately no whitening product has asked me to be a spokesperson. I love to dive and water ski, so I would continue to be tan. I would head toward Koo Tin Lok's skin tone, which feels even healthier."

With a tan Wu Tsz Tung revealed, "Earlier I went to the beach with my family and got a tan. My body is even darker. Because I only put sunblock on my face, it is in a drastically different tone than the body. However a tan can make the curves stand out more. (Does your girlfriend Stephanie Au Hoi Shun like it?) She doesn't think it's a problem." Yu Heung Yi said that Wu Tsz Tung in the film was often naked to show off his muscles. Wu Tsz Tung explained, "The director is the one who always wants to keep clothes off me, but he doesn't want me to strip. I wouldn't feel embarrassed, I am always naked at home. As long as the story requires it it's no problem."

Yuen Biao earlier went to Tokyo, Japan to attend a press conference for a new watch that commemorated the 45th anniversary of Bruce Lee's passing. Yuen Biao attended in a Chinese suit and even had an exchange with "mini Bruce Lee" Ryusei Imai. When they posed for a duel, Yuen Biao put his hand together and beg for mercy. Was this the first time Yuen Biao met Ryusei? He said that earlier he watched his video online. "I felt he definitely would become a success in the future, a Japanese successor in the martial art and kung fu world." Later, Yuen Biao performed with a wooden man, but when he started he realized that he was wearing a watch. He took it off in a hurry and continued the performance.

After over 20 years without a public appearance in Japan, Yuen Biao remained just as popular. Fans flocked to him for autographs and photos as soon as he got out of his vehicle. One fan even personally drew an artwork of his past characters. He came to work for 4 or 5 days, which reminded him of singing Japanese songs in Nippon Budokan when he was younger.

In addition, Yuen Biao revealed that he was busy with the Seven Little Fortunes movie preparation. "Because next year would be the 60th anniversary of the 'Seven Little Fortunes', actually at our 50th anniversary we already thought about making this movie to tell Hong Kong, China and even the world how we learned kung fu when we were little and how we overcame hardship. We would tell children not to give up, to have confidence and determination." Speaking of working with Bruce Lee when he was younger, he admitted that he was his idol. The chance of working with him was truly a honor. He continued, "The luckiest part about working with him was, first was standing next to him, and second was him kicking me into the air."

The Louis Koo Tin Lok, Philip Keung Ho Man, Cherry Ngan Cheuk Ling, Louis Cheung Kai Chung starred new film A WITNESS OUT OF THE BLUE (FAN JUI YIN CHEUNG) yesterday held a police chase scene at a Jordan store. The team spent seven figures and two months to construct a real 3000 foot jewelry store set. The team has been working in the fake jewelry store. Due to how real the environment was, some pedestrians thought it was a real jewelry store and entered to shop. Playing a robber, Koo Tin Lok said that the new film has already been in production for a month. Yesterday's police chase scene was the opening for the film. Later a big slaughter scene will be shot. In addition the team rented a store for an explosion scene. Was a chase scene in the heat particularly tough? Goo Jai said, "Indoors with air conditioning it's okay, because the new film takes place in the winter I even have to wear coats and leather jackets. It's pretty tough."

Goo Jai said that now he has three new films in production at the same time. Earlier he worked on exterior shots under 35 or 36 degree Celsius heat and also had a heat stroke. Another new film required him to be in a car chase. Would he confuse his characters? Goo Jai said, "No, because we would work on one film for several days I am able to adjust. The night before I would study and finish my analysis. When the shoot takes place I can remind myself which character I am playing."

Charmaine Sheh Sze Man was rumored to have signed with Koo Tin Lok's company. Goo Jai as usual said that the question should be directed to Ah Sheh's management company. Goo Jai said, "Ah Sheh is a top television star. I have worked with her before. She of course has the potential to be able to make movies." An advertiser used Goo Jai's POPULAR THIS WEEK dance as draw, but in the commercial he could not be seen dancing. Goo Jai said, "I danced, maybe it was cut. Actually I just moved a little because I didn't rehearse. It wasn't the choreography before either. I was just guest starring."

Playing cops, Keung Ho Man and Ngan Cheuk Ling said that they had to shoot in the fake jewelry store for 6 days. For her first crime film, Cherry was very excited about being to able to hold a gun. She often asked Hak Jai about the correct way to hold a gun. She also did not imagine how heavy the gun was. She had to use a lot of energy to be able to cock it. Hak Jai also happily said that he could play a cop again. He said that everyone thought that he often played cops. Actually he counted how many times on his hand. Hak Jai said, "I am the happiest about being able to shoot a gun and drive fast. I can even drive in the opposite direction of traffic, but because we didn't apply for a full road block I have to be very careful with my marks to reduce to the risk to its lowest."

She pointed out that her mother was considered open minded as she did not object to her having a boyfriend in school. She said, "My first love was in form 3!" The Jennifer Yu Heung Yi and Cecilia Yip Tung starred new film DISTINCTION (FEI TUNG FAN HEUNG) was invited to be the 2nd Hong Kong Kids' International Film Festival opening film. Two nights ago the film festival held its opening ceremony and premiere. In the film Yip Tung and Yu Heung Yi played mother and daughter, bringing out modern parents' educational method for children, dream pursuit and value. Playing a secondary school student Yu Heung Yi praised Yip Tung's mighty presence, as she easily brought her in character. The slap scene was unforgettable. She said, "In the scene Yip Tung yelled at me very meanly, it was my first scene of being slapped. Before the shoot she was deliberately serious and stated that she would really slap but watch her strength. When she slapped for the first time, I was crying from the pain. We did 8 takes. The director even asked me if I could try other reactions, whch I felt was not necessary." Finally that slap scene was cut. Yu Heung Yi hoped that the director would give her a copy.

Yip Tung also mentioned this slap scene and had nothing but praised for Yu Heung Yi. "She is a new comer with a lot of potential. Her performance in a previous film was very wild. This time as a school girl she also performed very well. She had a lot of talent and quite a future." Yip Tung recalled at age 16 during her summer vacation, her then boyfriend and now husband Chan Kwok Fun signed her to a three year contract to make movies. Because her family was very protective of her, they objected to her joining the show business and almost disowned her. Finally she got her wish. Yip Tung said that she got into the business out of the blue, feeling that people's experience was very strange. If she missed the opportunity then her life would be different.
