Kenny Wong Tak Bun yesterday attended the 12th Hong Kong book prize as a guest presenter. He said that he had a habit of going to bookstores and buy books, in particular as an actor he would buy books for more information to help with his performance.
Tak Bun lately performed in the Benny Chan Muk Sing directed film. In the film he worked with Donnie Yen Chi Tan and Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, naturally action scenes would be lacking. Since he was in such good shape he would be able to handle it. He said, "Ten years ago I would have been able to, but for now I am still fine with gun fight scenes. I hope the large scale action ending would not be too rough!" After that film, Tak Bun would work on another crime film. He probably would not have time to rest in the summer. He joked that did not matter since he was making a living. Since leaving TVB his film offers have been endless, so it was an opportunity of officially making money? Tak Bun said, "Earlier years ago maybe I wasn't mature enough, it's all fate!" Did MEN ON THE DRAGON (YIK LAU DAI SHOOK) help him a lot? He admitted that the audience felt that he was more action before. Reporters joked that now everyone also knew he was an "uncle". He said, "I have been an uncle for a very long time, actually I give the audience more variety!"
