Ethan Ruan (Yuen King Tin)'s film MONGA is near NT$300million at the Taiwan box office. Two nights ago the team held a celebration. Siu Tin continued to be the media focus after being caught with a woman at a hotel. He hoped everyone would give him and his girlfriend Tiffany Hsu some space and expressed that "we have no problem."
Siu Tin said, "Thank you everyone for your concern, I am taking a deep self examination since I haven't properly kept the feelings of myself and people who care about me in mind." He also said that this incident was a great opportunity to change into a different Yuen King Tin. He continued that Tiffany Hsu is someone who is the most worthy to keep going on with. He hoped that everyone would give them time and space and stressed, "We have no problem."
MONGA director Niu Chen-Zer supported Siu Tin and expressed that the relationship was between two people. This incident not only made people who cared feel bad, but Yuen King Tin also did not do anything wrong. As for the film's box office heading toward NT$300 million, he said that he did not know what he did to be so lucky. They made a 80 minute movie but received everyone's 99% encouragement.
The film's original soundtrack also sold over 10,000 copies in three days, thus Siu Tin and co-star Mark Chao (Chiu Yau Ting) yesterday attended an autograph session. The original soundtrack producer Sandee Chan also brought flowers to congratulate them. She mentioned that she was very nervous about producing their collections because she only heard Chiu Yau Ting's singing but had absolutely no impression of Siu Tin's voice. However while in studio she heard Siu Tin sang a few lines and was very surprising because Siu Ting's singing was very moving. She did not expect them to sing as well as they act. Thus this collection's success
was completely based on substance.
