The Johnnie To Kei Fung produced, Soi Cheang Bo Shui directed, Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Shawn Yue Man Lok, Guo Xiaodong, Barbie Hsu, Gordon Lam Ka Tung and Josie Ho Chiu Yi starred MOTORWAY (CHEH SAU) will open in Hong Kong and the Mainland on the 21st. Yesterday the team appeared at the Shanghai International Film Festival. As this film festival's first official press conference, the all star line up made everyone look forward to the film.
As his fourth film this year, Yue Man Lok said that actually in MOTORWAY he was the most masculine and was a little more yuppie. "MOTORWAY is even more exciting and intense than my other films, it is even crueler. This character represents the conditions of many young people now, he has individuality but doesn't really socialize with others. Yet he has a never wavering spirit." Reporters asked whether he loved cars or women? He said, "Now I only love cars, I have to be the coolest driver."
Wong Chau Sun in the film played soon to retire veteran cop but was the hidden car god of the police. He admitted that he actually did not like to drive. "I played a cop who is a car god, but when I played him, the director only shot the scenes in which I was in the vehicle in the parking lot to be safe. It wasn't unexciting or fun at all."
