The Peter Chan Ho Sun directed AMERICAN DREAMS IN CHINA (JUNG GOK HUP FOR YUN) since its Mainland release in the middle of the month has made over 300 million yuan. The film will open in Hong Kong on May 30th. Before the production, the director wanted Huang Xiaoming to play the character that matched his looks. However he insisted on playing the dorky one with a wig and a fake belly. In a bathroom scene, Deng Chao and Tong Dawei showed off their muscles but Huang Xiaoming had to keep his clothes on. If he took off his clothes he looked too much like Mr. Fitness.

Huang Xiaoming also had to conquer the English language. Two years ago he sang an English song in public and was made fun of for his lack of fluency. Thus before the shoot he kept rehearsing his English dialogue. When he went to shoot in the U.S. he even completed 4 pages of English dialogues. Even the workers there applauded him.
