Carina Lau Ka Ling yesterday loaned her Tsim Sha Tsui Spanish restaurant for her film BENDS (GOR GAI)'s promotion. She felt that the move killed two birds with one stone. She also said that the restaurant was doing good business. Although she did not know when she would break even, but business has been steadily rising. For now she had no intention for a second store or other businesses. Ka Ling said that she liked acting the most, acting was her full time job.

Lau Ka Ling attempted to play a wife who has lost her rich husband. In the film her husband suddenly vanished. Was she afraid that in reality her husband Tony Leung Chiu Wai would play disappearance? Ka Ling said, "You never know, so women shouldn't give themselves completely to men. Being too reliant would lack a sense of security. Men may suddenly die. Life is unpredictable, you have to be self reliant, increase your worth and be prepared." She pointed out that her character had no one to complain to, for dignity she refused to talk to anyone. Th real her had a lot of pressure that she hid inside, thus she needed to change the traditional thinking.
