Artist Juno Mak Chun Lung, Anthony Chan Yau, Chin Siu Ho earlier went to Taipei for their film RIGOR MORTIS (GEUNG SI)'s press conference and premiere. The trio received Taiwan style bubble tea and authentic snacks and gave a toast to wish for the film to become a hit in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. The event also arranged for an ice sculpture of the number "88,888,888", with the trio conducting the ice breaking ceremony for luck of breaking NT$ 88,888,888 at the box office.

The film after two weeks in release in Hong Kong has been recognized. Its Hong Kong and Macau cumulative box office has already reached HK$12.5 million. Director Juno even received an university film department invitation to an exchange with students and sharing his creative process.

The film was released in Taiwan today, which happened to be the anniversaries of vampire film veterans Lam Ching Ying and Ricky Hui Koon Ying's deaths. Lam Ching Ying often played a priest in past vampire films and passed away on November 8 1997; Hui Koon Ying also performed in many vampire films and he passed away at home on November 8 two years ago.

Juno thought it was incredible that the new film would be released on this date. "November 8 was the two vampire veterans' date, it was also the day that Chin Siu Ho wanted to pass away in the film. Such a coincidence can only be fate."
