The Derek Yee Tung Sing produced, Andrew Lau Wai Keung directed new film KUNG FU MONSTER (MO LUM GWAI SAU) stars Chen Xuedong, Guo Biting, Wang Taili and has special appearance by Zhou Dongyu. Yesterday the film held a press conference in Beijing.

Several Mainland actors had nothing but praise for director Lau Wai Keung's work ethics, stating that the director spared them from danger and more than took care of them. With all the coaxing, Director Lau was all smiles. Zhou Dongyu first said, "Director is too nice! Many scenes didn't need multiple shoots, he got what he wanted in one shot. He would even let you get off work early to go drinking." Chen Xuedong followed with exaggeration, "That's right, I started work at 7 and by 7:30 I am off work! Because Director's lighting is too accurate, before I took my mark Director already spent three days on lighting. He saved all the tough stuff for him so the actors could relax a little!" Everyone said that this was a team with a lot of love, so no one wanted to get off work. However the director would always attentively let them finish the most jobs in the shortest time, so everyone could get off work as soon as possible. They all inevitably had gratitude for the director inside, during the shoot they wanted to take advantage of their time and do their best. The entire team's atmosphere then was great. The director on the set would teach actors how to make soup for nourishment. He could not be more attentive.

Zhou Dongyu said nothing but nice things about the director, but with Chen Xuedong she had no mercy. She even wrote Chen Xuedong's name wrong and even joked that only she could use the word "Dong" in her name. Chen Xuedong of course did not hold back as he admitted, "In real life Zhou Dongyu is the most troublesome. In the film I feel the most troublesome is my junior colleague (Zhou Dongyu)."

Producer Yee Tung Sing sad that he and Lau Wai Keung have known each other for over thirty years. Lau Wai Keung even clearly remembered that they already met as early as on the certain set in 1981. At the time he only felt that Yee Tung Sing was as sharp and radiant as a big star. Director Lau also said that they had quite a connection. Yee Tung Sing was a former Performing Artist Guild president, he is the current president. At the press conference when he wanted to say former he said "ex", but his mispronunciation did not get any reaction from the audience. Yee Tung Sing immediately translated for Lau Wai Keung and said that Director Lau described him as an "ex", which immediately led to laughter galore.
