Japanese reality show TERRACE HOUSE TOKYO participant and female wrestler Hana Kimura succumbed to long term severe cyberbullying and committed suicide last month at age 22. The incident triggered an extremely enormous response as attention was brought to the cyberbullying issue. The Japanese wrestling world due to the novel coronavirus has suspended operation for almost over three months. Kimura's wrestling organization Stardom after the pandemic eased yesterday returned in Tokyo with a memorial ceremony to Hana Kimura before the event.
Hana Kimura's wrestling teammate Jungle Kyona spoke and said that she still was unable to accept the news of her teammate's passing and thus was not ready to return. The event showed Hana Kimura's photos and video, as the referee gave a ten count in the ring and wrestlers and workers on hand surrounded the ring in silence.
